  1. Well - TMWG - $650 Combat rudders - $150 A10C - $50 Raceon (plus all the other bits that go with it) - $30 Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S - $400 TrackIR - $300 (was in pounds back in the UK) PC - $1300 playing games and having a break from the real word - Priceless
  2. You got a link for them?
  3. No problem. So have you got your one centred or is it still off?
  4. I have been looking at SSDs but I still think the price is just a tad too high for me. At the moment I have 4x500gb running RAID10 - fast but still quite "safe" I don't get stutters but load times are still not as quick as I would like hence the SSD thoughts.
  5. @Macadam Cow Your video above: This video contains content from WMG, who has blocked it on copyright grounds.
  6. The .exe uses the txt for reference. It should not change as it is read from, not written to.
  7. Yes it does and should be in the same folder as the .exe @All The only way of checking that is has worked is via the T.A.R.G.E.T script editor -> device analyser. (the original fault with the calibration software was that it would not accept the Press spacebar command for a few people). @JCook - What version are you trying? Also are you trying to calibrate the throttle or the stick? (Side note - .rar is a better compression software than the old .zip same thing but better options. Use winrar to decompress this is a free program (trial period of 30 days I think). As Taipan has stated it is not the most explanatory Thrustmaster softwear as it is not a general public release and is more for internal TM use. As said by Taipan - When it says unplug at the end, unplug it and close the program it is finished. Would be better if it said that But anyway it works for me, fixed the joystick not going into corners for me.
  8. When a bit of kit goes "Pete Tong" I always use it as an excuse to the Missus to get more than I should. Good you found the problem though. Did you do the sticks one at a time and move them around?
  9. I have noticed that Asus does not seem to use GSkill ram in their QVL's from what I remember. I currently have GSkill in mine with the M4A89GTD and it seems fine. Asus Mobos have always IMO given good bang for buck.
  10. Yes just the one, thank you.
  11. I stopped getting Asus "deluxe" Mobos about a year or so ago after nothing but troubles through the range. I have however always bought Asus Mobos for at least 10 years (before that I was "generic" (Foxconn and Via both served me well for a long time)). EDIT: When I say range I meant Deluxe types.
  12. DM Things have settled here so where do I send you the wonga bud? PM me Cheers Flesh EDIT: Ahh the English bugger all words up, Wonga/moola/spondoolies - Cash
  13. I gave up with using a wingman (unless its online) as I just never get it to work the way I want. I know it is user error on my part but as I see it I have two choices. 1. I do the killing 2. Send wingman to do the killing I know what I prefer. But I will have to .... when time permits // and I remember // to sit down and try to use a wingman properly. Would be interesting to see what people do to get the desired result.
  14. I think the Mustang is a great idea and I am pleased to know it will, as always, be a cracking bit of kit due to ED/DCS fidelity. That for me is the only reason I enjoy this series, for me its all about the details. Now if other company's (3rd party) want to join in on the money making that is fine by me but they will have to be as good if not better than ED/DCS to get my hard earned cash. I don't like the FSX layout as it seems to be very hit and miss in the terms of what you are actually going to get with addons/mods. Some addons were good some were appalling .... that being the case if ED/DCS goes this way I will only stick to originals from them as I don't like wasting wonga. One thing is for sure I will continue (time permitting) to play the arse out of A10C and BS1 till the cows come home.
  15. One they have under construction looks good - AAT01 - Air to Air Refueling Day
  16. The auto lase setting is done via the stores management. Not 100% but if the target was masked then it might not be able to lase the target. (masking happens when for example the plane gets in the way of the TPG seeing the target) Just a guess as I haven't had that problem. Also how long did he set the autolase duration for?
  17. I prefer those though ^^ can't get more "warlike" if you tried. RAF for the win!
  18. Well I will be grabbing this next instalment. You guys just get it on the shelf (or Download store) and the rest is history......... Much Love!
  19. I have the Combat rudder pedals and do have a slight veer/yaw to the left but it is so un-noticeable a slight correction with the pedals and I am back on the off. It might be a sim issue but I think it might be more HW related as when I first got these pedals I also had breaking problems as some other users here do with the pedals not releasing the break (from 50%) but after a bit of fiddling with settings/drivers and all sorts they work spot-on now.
  20. If you are just going to read books then you cannot beat e-ink (kindle use it and others might but you will need to check). If you want to surf and don't mind your eyes straining then anything else (backlight) will do. E-ink > than any LCD/TFT for reading books from.
  21. The pod can go either side of the plane innit. The mav IIRC can be shown in either panel too.
  22. It's how I roll
  23. Pirate on the back must need a plank to walk on, do it on one wing at least!
  24. But they are not all exactly the same. Memory will always default to the slowest Dimm and in this case they all have the same timings so no issues. I have used the IBM stuff in some workstations and it is all much the muchness. Unless you overclock your CPU and memory it makes no difference. Not being funny but IBM are going up in the memory world (check out racetrack).
