  1. Its a small thing, but irritating. When i start my PC, my UFC always has the displays filled with the gibberish LEDS all lit up.....I have to run SAP and set the lights off every time to get the displays to go blank...... Is there a way to set the state once so it stays like that going forwards?
  2. Yes, I have MT version. i get they dont want piracy, but I am pretty sure I can have DCS running at the same time on several PC's, with the same log in? Anyway, I have tried running the campaign in MT and it does run at double the FPS using MT....I had not been using MT due to issues with shadows etc, but turned them off and its not too bad. Thanks

OK, so basically, I cant do what I want to do then.........thats pretty frustrating......Obviously, the situation is different with something like liberation, as that's not a paid 3rd party creation, yes? And they have worked out a kind of workaround for the continuity, but using the .json file to transfer results, correct? Thanks for the help
  4. Hi, I just got the Kerman campaign and it looks great...however, first mission was really taxing my PC in VR ( Not sure why, as my main PC is pretty OK..) So I also have another PC which I use for Helos as it runs my Helo simpit. Whilst flying jets , the Harrier in this case, that PC is sitting idle. So I have installed open beta server and it runs missions fine. However, I cant figure out how to run the campaign? Is this possible? I did look in the campaign folders and try copying over mission one to the server mission folder on the number 2 PC, but it wont start.....any ideas why? Thanks!

OK...thanks.... thats a strange one then, as I can run DCS on all of my machines using my normal single authorization, but I cant run a campaign I have paid for on one machine and log into it from another? Why is that? whats the logic? I have looked into running DCS liberation in this way and have not done it yet, but understand from a quick look on you tube that you generate a mission and then copy that over to the server machine and then copy back a .json file to give you the "results". Is that what you mean when you describe opening the campaign ? If I decided ( hypothetically) to buy a separate licence for the number 2 machine, and run the campaigns on that, would it be possible? Or is it more complicated than that? thanks Edit: Maverick, I see you run servers, with campaigns.......whats the difference then? People are presumably logging in to them from different clients? So I can run DCS server on my main machine and do it like that ? Although that would kind of defeat the objective as I would not be offloading the work from my main CPU would i? Finally, how does it work with theatres on the number 2 machine ?
  6. Quick query...how is this done? I have got 2 PC's one I use for flying Helo's so when I am flying jets, I have decided to utilise it for running demanding campaigns ( I just got the Kerman campaign and first mission runs like a pig, 23 FPS and -40% CPU headroom in VR) so was hoping that using DCS server, I can run the campaign on PC and fly the mission from PC1, thus offloading all the computing etc to PC2 and leaving me some headroom for the performance in VR. Missions I have figured out, just need to add them to the open beta server saved games folder. But I cant figure out how to run the campaign.... Can someone help? Thanks
  7. Hi Devs, I have just had my first flight since the update and I must say, very much like the feel of the FFB implementation. I like the waythe stick goes light at low speeds! I do have one query / Issue though......the buffet felt through the stick kicks in very sharply at approx 20 AoA and shuts off again very quickly as soon as you go below..... Now I am of course unsure how teh real jet behaves, but in the F14, another module with great FFB implementation, the onset and reduction of buffet effects is much more gradual and nuanced...wherea sin the F1 it feels rather all or nothing.....? Its on and off like a light switch. Can this be adjusted ? Can it be tweaked by the devs? My options settings are min approx 40% & max 100% for pitch and roll and effects intensity set at 80%. I am using the same profile I use for the F14 with my Brunner stick, using CLS2. Many thanks!
  8. Thanks, have set up VA for "space" ! This maybe more of a basic flying query rather than campaign specific, but in the High AoA rudder trurns exercise, I am finding that using the rudder only, its very difficult to avoid the nose dropping and then going below the horizon quite steeply.....how best to keep the nose up while trying to yaw left and right?
  9. Just had first stab at this. Couple of thoughts...... Need a way to avoid having to continually fumble for my keyboard to press spacebar and avoid pressing any other keys........ Landed with 600lbs fuel!!! After being instructed to leave runway at Bravo, nothing happened......? I just parked and closed the mission. No grade or anything? Any ideas why? Could really do with the text for the manouvres staying on screen for longer on occasion...... Also, due to hamfisted flying and not being on a cardinal direction at the right speed and angels precisely between events, Paco mistook my corrections for me performing the event.....Not sure what can be done about this? Am I correct in leaving all the waypoint and radio channel switching to Paco? Going to re fly once I have practised the aero stuff a bit....... Very immersive and great fun! If somewhat taxing of my limited abilities ! Where do I find my grade sheet? Finally, on my first start attempt, I ended up with a stall light flashing and a lightning bar flashing about the centre strip guage....no idea what happened or why, I followed my normal procedure....? any ideas?   10. I have an issue when using the HMD in 2D on my 5120 x 1440 monitor. The display won’t turn all the way with my head, if I turn my head right (using track ir) then the HMD display stops approx 75% of the way around. My eyes are looking at the far right of the screen, up the HMD is to the left. If I look left, it’s worse, only gets to around 60% to the left. Any ideas what the issue is and how to remedy? cheers

  12. Here is an updated version of the mission with some issues corrected and better voiceovers....... Only 2 downloads, so maybe not everyones cup of tea, still would appreciate some feedback from those who like to fly tactically on multiplayer. This is to pratice Tac Turns in battle formation as taught in the RAF fast jets training program. Check out Shadowlands https://www.fastjetperformance.com/shadowlands-online-flying-training for the best in online flight training for DCS from the legend that is Tim Davies....AKA FJP ! It should cover pretty much every type of tactical turn you might encounter, although there is not a rotate in there, but there is a turnabout. As before, it ends with a straight in approach, again with correct comms at the correct distances for reference. The kneeboards are sequenced so once you have the kneeboard up, you just need to press next page to advance to the next reference page for the upcoming turn. Double assisted turns training V4.miz
  13. I think its less about money from the devs point of view and more likely to be managed by ED.....who would want to spread out the hype and excitement generated by both modules release. Its simply not in their interests for both to drop around the same time..........So if the F15 is "readier" than the Phantom, its likely that the release of the F15 will delay the Phantom release by some months......but that's just what I reckon.......

Damn, I was really hoping it would be a drogue type system........although I can refuel the Viper, its the most tricky of all my modules - I find that there is a MUCH smaller cone of movement before you get a disconnect when using a boom as opposed to a drogue. Also, DCS has not bothered to give us any more detailed tanker comms, so if you slide out of the zone, you can often not realise ( I know you can put the fuel flow on the HUD, but would it too much to ask for a voice ?) So if the Phantom is the same system, that's a shame. However, it is what it is and I will just have to git gud!

  16. Hi, it’s single player. Jackal 1 is AI. Jackal 2 is the player slot flying alongside, supposed to keep battle formation at 1 mile abreast and do the tactical The spawn works for Jackal 1 , not for Jackal 2. The issue is around waypoints. I wanted an outline route to guide the player and seq 1 only display s 14 waypoints. So to get the ability to carry on the exercise, with a sequenced waypoint map showing on the HSI, I had to swap the player into a new jet. Of course, I could do without having the route displayed for the player on the HSI after WP 14, but it does make things trickier…. it’s no biggie really, of course in reality, as wingman you need to be able to follow in battle formation your lead. Without a route showing a nice line on the HSI! But this is a training mission, sinI wanted some aids…… Have you tried flying it yet?
  17. Thanks, thats sounding a little more complicated than my current understanding of the editor! I am just a humble novice so far ! I just tested the triggers for part 2, the part 2 flight lead Jackal 1 spawns fine, but if I try and select the role of jackal 2 , it says my flight is delayed..... Basically, as the jet can only hold 15 waypoints per sequence, part 2 is designed to start after 15 waypoints for Wolf 2. The idea is at this point 2 new jets spawn, Jackal 1, the new AI flight lead and Jackal 2, you, with the second part of teh flight waypoints available on your HSI......You swap into Jackal 2 by selecting from the "select role" option.....but it wont work as described above. Would appreciate some pointers! Thank you very much!
  18. Thanks for the tip, but I know nothing about .lua scripting......right now, I just want to finish my mission! Perhasp for another time! Regarding the 2 triggers you mention, I have not come across that yet? In the mission above you can see I have various triggers for actions that work OK with the single trigger? Cheers

  20. Many thanks....I just found that if I add a condition and action , they save. They wont save without these.......I did all the triggers first and was going to add the conditions and actions later.....so will have to do this for each as I go....!
  21. I am extending the mission thats generating these queries so there is a part 2. I have made 2 new groups, both late activation, set to activate when part of group one enters the trigger zone....... I have made all the trigger zones for the route and started to make the corresponding triggers. I have approx 43 triggers in "part 1" of the mission. I started making and naming the new triggers, but when I press save, they just dissappear from the trigger list. I have tried individually and in groups of varying numbers. Any ideas why this is? Have I reached a limit on number of triggers? I am creating and naming them in the exact same way I did the "part 1" triggers with no issues...... Thank you!
  22. Hi, I am making a training mission and have a couple of issues I dont understand. My AI flight lead is following a set of waypoints with turns so the player can follow in battle formation and practice assisted and non assisted tactical turns. MNostly it works well so far, however..... One turn is a 60 left, which involves the AI lead first turning towards me, then away, which I did with 2 simple waypoints. However, at the first waypoint he just turns to the heading thats after the second waypoint. The waypoints are just under a mile apart. Its at waypoints 8 & 9 on the enclosed mission. Second issue is that I programmed a gradual straight in descent and approach to land at the end. Instead of following the heights and speeds, at either waypoint 20 or 21, the AI pitches up and does not follow the descent..... Any ideas on what is happening and why please? Finally, query regarding turn rate of the AI. If using normal turns, is the any way to get them to pull more G in the turn? I know you can do this by using the aerobatic option, but it appears to be broken, with the AI doing strange things.....and also an almost complete lack of instrcution on how it works and how to use it.......
