Ok, thanks…….can this be done before the flight starts or in the mission editor? Or does it have to be done by hand in the jet, after you have flown past number 15?

Holy thread resurection batman!!! I have a mission with many waypoints, 26 I think......does this mean that when I get to the last one that displays, I switch to SEQ2 on the HSI and the next set will be displayed? Thanks!

Thanks, so I have spent the day doing this and made a passable first attempt I think! I would really appreciate yourself, or someone who has the skillz in this, to take a look and see where it could be adjusted, and improved. I made my own sound files in audacity, they would be cool with some radio squelch and static, but I dont know how to do this....I also set up a pairs straight in approach formation landing at the end... A few issues I noted: Speed the AI turns at could do with adjusting? Straight in approach heights need tweaking On touchdown, Lead goes full AB and takes off again....? Hi, I am making a simple formation training mission, and I want voice files at trigger points. I have audacity and am recording these files. First question, whats the easiest way to make them sound like a radio transmission ? I know there are a load of different programs etc out there, but hoping someone can save me some time! Second, I have made my AI flight lead a set of waypoints, how do I stop him calling out " Enfield, passing waypoint 2" etc each time he changes direction? I just want my sound files to play. I know I can turn off AI flight reports, will that do it? and leave my sound files? This will affect my whole DCS, so wondered if there was a way in ME to do it to justy that group or plane..... Thanks!

So I just tried a simple 90 degree turn left mission. Both me and the AI at 400 IAS, 3900 ft. I used the aero advanced instruction for the turn waypoint 1. I set military turn, left 90 degrees, 3.5 G. Speed and altitude remain the same When I fly this, the AI, at the turn point, does not turn, goes into a climb to approx 15,000 in afterburner, the levels out with airbarke on....... WTF? Have included my .miz file and track file for reference. Turns.trk Assisted turns formation training.miz -

Thanks, good to know its possible, although was hoping for a bit more of a how to! I have not been able to find instrcution on how to use the aerobatic waypoint actions - do you know if there is any detail on this? For example, what does the "start immediately" check box do? If you dont check this, is there a delay to the start of the manouvre? And why is the "initial speed" less than the speed I set for the section of the flight? Once you have started using aerobatic commands, do you need to program the whole flight as a sequence? Whats the difference between a "turn" " forced turn" and a "military turn" ? Thanks! -

OK, thanks, I am using a cockpit mod. This one: What would I need to do to get the normal mirrors back? Disable the whole mod? I presume this is something for the mod author to look into? Also, regarding adjustment, its LMB and mouse wheel, yes? How much should they move? thank you for the prompt reply! -

OK, had some more time with MT, this time in 2D. My exported screens are a little FUBAR'd, and the mirrors? I have no pilot head showing at all and the range of adjustment is so small, it is really, next to useless...here is a screeny of what i see: -

So what are the dynamic cockpit / forge elements please? Can you explain this? Is it why I had some black string tied across between screws in the up front console just now? If so, what’s the point of this ? Sorry if I am missing something! Adjustable mirrors……. I am flying in VR and was able to move them quite slowly and not very much, by clicking and using my mouse wheel. they don’t however show what the guy above picture does, I get no pilot reflection, just some what look like reflections of some circuit breaker panels, in a kind of sepia tone. I am running MT -

Hi, I was hoping I could ask Reflected ( as the top tier campaign / ME guy) some questions regarding what is possible within the ME. Of course, anyone else who has that degree of knowledge etc also feel free to chime in! The mission editor is I feel a great tool, that gets limited use as its capabilities and abilities are generally unknown and not understood by the vast majority of users. Myself, as a personal example, can make basic missions and follow along YT tutorials on some more complex stuff, but I have no idea how to do, or get the knowledge to do other things. One example of this - I wanted to make an aerobatic training mission, simply have an AI jet perform a series of manouvres I could follow, like for example, a loop, followed by a barrel roll, then a cuban, another loop etc. I found the advanced aero options in the ME, and some sketchy info on YT, but nowhere, how to string them together and make the flow smooth and natural - all my attempts ended with failure..... ANYWAY.....My main question / request, which is along similar lines and probably involves similar triggers & programming: In the same vein as your excellent Speed & Angels campaign ( still on 1st Mission!!) I would like to make a simple single player mission to practice tactical formation turns. For this I need the AI jet to simply fly a series of 30, 60, 90 45 degree turns. Being formation turns, they are of course assisted, which means that depending on the side you are and the direction of turn, either the wingman or lead gives assist to the turn, to make the cross over at 90 degrees. Obviously, a voice over, for each turn, such as "Wolf, 90 left, 90 left, GO!" would be great. Thats pretty easy, I could probably do that. But the rest....? It sounds simple, so, with your knowledge of DCS ME , how easy is this to do? Thanks guys...@nojay. That is strange in that case, because what you described is what I tried first, as it was the only option without adding the extra lines to the .lua file. For me, this definitely did not work as you describe.......I added the lines and now it does what I wanted.......

Thanks, I did, nothing obvious there...when I started DCS the next day, to look into this, all was working as it should do. So who knows what the issue was......out of interest, is there anything you can do in the jet that will stop the salute being acknowledged? -

I can’t find this item on the store site, I have had the FSSB and F16 standard grip a while now, but wish I had got the EX version with extra switches……is it -ossicle to buy the side switch extension does anyone know?

Hope someone can solve an annoying issue that has just manifested itself...My pilot salute has stopped working, I have tried mapping to another button but no joy. In controls options, there is a red exclamation mark next to the description column and the currently bound controller key. How can I see what this potential issue is? And any ideas why its suddenly not working? I have unbound it and rebound it, to no avail! Thanks!

No, although I did get it to move once, was just clicking and moving the lever I had bound to it. But 99% of the time, its stuck there at 68. I am assuming its something to do with he sequence of test operations I did. I am following Reflecteds excellent cold start tutorial BTW, if you want to see the sequence of tests, I show below: MOVE EMERGENCY WING SWITCH FORWARD AND DOWN – WINGS WILL MOVE FWDS. PRESS MASTER RESET, THIS WILL ENGAGE AUTO MODE. LOWER ALL FLAPS AND SLATS, CYCLE CONTROL SURFACES. CHECK DLC OPERATION SET ANTISKID / SPOILER BRAKE SWITCH TO SPOILER BK. WITH THROTTLES IDLE AND FLAPS DOWN, SPOILERS SHOULD DEPLOY. THEY SHOULD RETRACT IF THROTTLES ARE ADVANCED. SET SWITCH TO OFF. RAISE MAIN FLAPS. USE DLC THUMBWHEEL TO DEPLOY MANOUVRE FLAPS. WING SWEEP TO MANUAL AND SET WINGS TO 50. CHECK MANOUVRE FLAPS ARE STILL DEPLOYED AND WORKING. SET WING SWEEP TO BOMB MODE WHICH WILL SWEEP WINGS BACK AND RETRACT THE MANOUVRE FLAPS. THEN SET WINGS FULLY BACK 68. RAISE EMERG WING SWEEP HANDLE & MOVE BACK TO OVERSWEEP POSITION 75. SET SWEEP TO AUTO AND PRESS MASTER RESET sorry for the caps and bold, I just copied from the kneeboard document I made

OK, I added the lines Draconus gave me and it works! Thanks mate! So I dont think it is there...I looked really hard before I posted! Regarding the emergency wingsweep - I have clarified, this does work cold and dark, however, once you have started and are carrying out the post start checks, here is where it does not. You are supposed to after some other checks, go to bomb mode, and manually set sweep to 73. After that you are instrcuted to lift and use the emergency sweep lever to oversweep position. Its when I try to do this, that it gets "stuck" at the approx halfway or 68 degree position.
