  2. Hi, I have made a TacTurn trainer mission. In these, you are in battle ( spread) formation at 1 mile from the lead jet. A series of assisted turns are flown, whereby in each turn, you swap sides with the lead jet and roll out in the correct formation. I think it would be an added bonus if I can score the parameters, IE, how well you maintain battle position. What would be the best way to track these parameters inthe mission editor and convert them to a score? Bear in mind its slightly complicated by the fact that its not simply a question of tracking if I stay 1 mile away from lead the whole time, as in each turn we turn into each other and cross over. So I also need a way to discount that time. I also need to track if I am acute or sucked ( forward or behind lead) in the battle formation. Thanks for any advice!
  3. Hi, I have improved the mission and am re issuing it. This version is on the Syria map over Cyprus. Turns are now performed at 4G and timings, messages and voice overs have all been improved. I have also added a carrier group if you wish to do a Case 1 recovery after the exercise or you can follow the AI to recover at Akrotiri and a tanker should you also wish to practice your refueling. I have also added some radio chatter for immersion, which you can turn down if it distracts using the UFC controls. Any comments and feedback most welcome. Thank you!   5. Hi, I am making a mission that has multiple " sound to all" triggers, based on "time more than" . These all work great. However, I wanted to also add some background radio chatter, which I have done, again triggered by Time more than 10 seconds. The chatter plays for a while until my first or second subsequent voice overs are triggered, then it stops...... How can I make sure the chatter plays uninterupted in the background and the other sounds play over it? Thanks

  7. So just brought Normandy 2, at the great price of $14.99 minus some miles....however, when logging in to DCS, its not showing as available to download? All I see is the channel map, which I dont currently have installed, although I own..... Any ideas ? Thanks

  9. So my G2 has been performing brilliantly and no issues for a while now. Last week, I changed to the latest beta of Open XR runtime, which may or may not be tied to my issue. So suddenly this week, I started to get an issue whereby the VR image is back to front and reversed....IE, I start VR, I get the hanger, but the menu is behind me when I press re centre VR and mirrored..... I was able twice to resolve this by pressing reset environment in WMRP settings, but today this is not working.......I should add that this does not happen ALL the time, yesterday I did several flights testing a new mission and they were all OK, it did it once first thing then was OK all day. Today, its doing it again intermittently. Any ideas or suggestions? Has this been reported by anyone else? Thanks!

  12. some feedback for Mbucchia if it helps from me...... I found the artifacts worse and performance and smoothness better with turning off MR and locking frames at 45 and using turbo mode, after reducing a few settings in DCS ( which I notice no tangible effect from) set shadows to off from low and clouds to medium from ultra and visibility range from high to medium

  14. Hi, I would not mind of course...however, 2 caveats! First, the F1 is not my main module, so I am not intimately familiar with the jets feel and have not had very much time since the big update, to fly it and form some impressions....... Secondly, I dont use the Brunner or DCS direct X feedback, I use my own profiles in CLS2 software, the Brunner profile software. So what I feel through the stick is not directly related to what the devs have coded. Finally, of course there are lots of variables around the in sim FFB settings, which may cause differing effects for different users. Combine all that and not sure how useful any of my comments may be!

So trying to update, my open XR tools for WMR GUI , in settings, I have "use latest preview Open XR runtime" checked and the version is 112.2211.2002 and in the mixed reality tab, it says its installed and active..... However, my settings tab does noty show the "new" options such as optical flow and use best framerate... Whats not right? And is it still best to leave motion reprojection set at disabled in this app and force it on in the in game toolkit?
  18. Thanks, the suggestions are appreciated and welcome! No, its only sometimes and I dont use the headset with anything else. I am inclined to think its a tracking issue. In OpenXR toolkit, there are options for shaking reduction, which makes me think that perhaps this is a "thing" ( or why would someone go toi the trouble of making a tool to reduce it?) However, I dont understand enough about how the tracking works, what may cause the shaking or how the tool helps it..... Cheers anyway!
  19. As title, where is there any information on how to use these settings and parameters to make the AI do stuff? I tried to start with one simple turn, set the parameters as a 4G 360 turn at the same speed and height as the waypoint, the AI simply went afterburner, climbed 8000 ft then flew level.....pretty far removed from what I set. In fact so far removed I have no clue where to start debugging it...... Does anyone know anything about this? Can someone from ED maybe help? Specifically, in the aero section, when you add a turn, you get 2 options which are already populated - init speed and init height. These are always different to the height and speed of the waypoint they are attached to. Why is this and how do these relate to the manouvres I want to do? I made a small test mission and used teh default speed and height (350 kts & 6582 ft) . I set a small sequence of turns, with straight flight inbetween and teh AI flew it perfectly. When I increased the speed to 450 kts at the waypoint, suddenly, the AI started doing the pitch up and height gain. So I set the speed back to what it was but still the AI did the pitch up and height gain...... Its really difficult to know whats happening and why! Thanks

  21. Thats strange, as with my settings in VR, on our heavily populated School server, I generally have a CPU overhead of approx +20 - 40% reported ( using the OXR performance toolkits overlay). My VR settings are not low.
  22. I know my G2 uses inside out tracking, and this is not a serious issue, but sometimes I get a kind of vibration or wobble in what I am seeing. If I gently touch or steady the headset, it will stop. Its not all the time either, just now and then. Is there anything that people have found helps with this ?
  23. Do you the frames locked at all from within the toolkit? On my system, am using MSAA x2 and 100% resolution, with MR on. I get a very smooth 30 FPS all the time, with generally, approx 30 -50% headroom reported on the FPS counter. I wonder if I could increase to 45 FPS locked?
