My HDR preset is set to Normal but when I alt-tab out, then back in the sim HDR resets to the Cold preset. Known bug I think.

I was under the impression that the ka-50 can indeed deploy chaff, I know I read it on several websites. In the flight manual it says: "The UV-26 system is used to dispense infrared flare decoys and dipole reflectors (chaff)". On the patrol mission for instance, you start with 64/64 flare/chaff. Guess it's leftover from BS1.

Since the Black Shark has no RWR, you most likely won't see the incoming missile. Even if you manage to see it, it wouldn't do you much good. Those spinning rotors give a very good radar return, so chaffs wouldn't fool an incoming missile. So yeah... I stick with flares.

To get the old mode back just go to: DCS Black Shark 2\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\clickable_common.lua and change: use_click_and_pan_mode = false to true

Nice flying Viper :thumbup: That's the idea, immediate trim press and release but depending on the users flight controls (e.g. low quality joystick and no rudder pedals), it may not be easily achievable. I'm definitely struggling with my cheap logi joystick, so sometimes I need to hold the trimmer just to see what the AP is trying to do. One good advice when using said method of trimming is to trim often and in small increments so you don't experience sudden inputs by the AP.

I think what he means is that he wants to be able to trim even if during the previous trimming he didn't return controls to center position. Sometimes I click the trim button by accident too so I reverted back to default trimming method.

This is to blame: VAT (PDV) Basically Steam applies 20% tax even you are in a country that has lower VAT tax or doesn't apply one on software. Just one of the reasons I prefer GoG, besides the no DRM stance.

Thanks for answering. Since I don't yet have rudder pedals FD is definitely of some use. Since the only problem for me is fighting with AP on the yaw channel.

Have to agree that with Flight Director mode enabled it feels more natural, to me at least. I wonder how often do real Kamov pilots use it.

Don't have TIR5 myself (freetrack + wiimote) but I hear having a TIR recenter command mapped somewhere on the HOTAS really helps, and tweaking the sensitivities a bit in the TIR software.

After the BS2 surprise release, I'm glad they are letting us know a bit more this time. Thanks ED! It's equipped, but most of us forget to turn it on.

The AI is much much better! In BS1 finishing a campaign mission with a wingman was a rare occurrence. Now they don't blindly attack that truck next to AA, or do a rocket run when they have vikhrs available.

Nice! It worked just copied from BS1, no need to edit configs or anything! Just create new RUS folder, copy&paste, done. Now if I understand properly you can't do this for wingman, ATC voices just betty.
