Its a pitty that the Flight / Combat sim has been overlooked in the last 10 years. After all its the FS that introduced a lot of people to PCs. I enjoy a bit of First Person Shooters like the rest but I wish the same time and money could be invested in Combat Sims. I know that I'm a old fart at 41 but we are big market too...

Sorry but private AC need CAA approval and they have never allowed an jet with an afterbruner to be flown in UK airspace let alone an airshow. The b***ers! :mad:

Sorry to disappoint but all RAF Jags will be grounded so no airshow etc. Its a shame but its an old AC and its role will be taken over (eventually) by the Typhoon. I'm sad at its retirement. As a kid I love watching them screem down the valleys at low level in the Highlands of Scotland. :noexpression:

I'd like to say that 159th_Fudd did a great job. I'm quite new to all this but I'm a bit upset by the attitude of some. This isn't real life, its a game. I take things as seriously as the next guy. The whole point of this (as far as I am aware) was to bring all the different squads together for a good old punch up. I apeal to all you guys to take easy and except the limitations of LOMAC. I'm not a pilot I just enjoy taking part. I don't give a rats arse if the 120s or the R27ET suck. I accept that there will be aspects that are not true to life. At the end of the day I will fight again because its just a game. I was involved in that incident with the AIM 7 which took me out. I thought no this can't be but I accept it. To the guy that fired the shot, well done. BlueFor won which is cool. Talk of mucking about with rules about re-arming, ecm etc is just poor show guys. War is war. If you got an advantage you use it period. Nobody asks the orther side if there ready or not. Thats my thoughts.

I'm the RedFor chap hit by that AIM 7.:cry: To the chap that fired it (R_V_E AS): nice shot! I got very little warning of it comming and it seemed to come from behind which didn't make sense at the time. Having watched the TAC file I see now what happend. I've not flown in such an intense enviroment before and it was so easy to loose SA with so many Jamming contacts etc. I have total respect for you guys:thumbup:

Hi JEFX, I like you was curious about the signal strength for different AC that why I did the tests that my 159th team mate (Viper) directed you to. Its a bit of reverse engineering and is only ment to be a guide. The big caveat to using this data is you have to be sure what AC your up against, otherwise you could be in for a surprise. Here is the data laid out around the RWR.

The Australian Airforce asked the US for an option to buy the F22 to replace their F111 and F18s. They are close allies of the US and were turned down flat. The US will not be selling the F22 to anyone. Just look at the hassle the UK has being having getting technical systems information for the F35 and they are a senior partner. BAE systems is a UK manufactuter that heavily involved in the manufaturing of tools and some of the F35 sub systems. However the US Senate doesn't trust the UK with Stealth technology. If the USA doesn't trust the UK, I don't think S. Korea has a chance.
