  1. Try monitoring your GPU load with some tools before you guess about bottlenecks. I got a 6870. My GPU only maxes out in cities at ground level. I have my FPS locked at 30 so that's why often the GPU does not need to run at 100%. Only when there are a shit ton of objects around. Or if I am looking at a crazy battlefield with my TGP. :-/ But I can live with that, because only about 20% of the time I am actually disturbed by that. Not nearly enough reason to spend money on a new GPU.
  2. Lovely bug fixes. Thank you a lot guys. :)
  3. Here is what I do when I am about to do some hardcore maneuvers and I know I am going to screw up my TGP eventually (mountains n stuff). Make TGP SOI, look at target, make TGP SPI. Make HUD SOI, then slave sensors to SPI, then I make the HUD/TDC my SPI. The TDC spi remembers coordinates etc. Now I can maneuver like a crazy person, have mountains in my way whatever, all I need to do to get TGP on target again is make TGP SOI and slew it to SPI. This also helps when you know your TGP is about to "gimb roll". Just temporarily "save" your target'S location in your TDC (the thing you can slew in the HUD), boresight TGP, then slew to SPI again and it will be slewed to the TDC location. Then make TGP SPI again and continue doing what you were doing.
  4. Not anymore due to the autoupdater. :)
  5. For some zoom levels in some areas there IS no map, so all you see is black. Try zooming out the map with DMS up/down. Or then again - you might be not aligned or something. Try an air start/start on runway, not ramp. If there is no map there as well on ALL zoom levels, then there is a bug. Also, since you got it on steam, make sure that you get DCS World 1.2.2 and the A-10 module 1.2.2. The steam version is the standalong and outdated. You can use the steam key to activate the downloaded A-10 module. Right click on the game in Steam and select "show key".
  6. Thank you very much Evil. A buddy of mine has picked up DCS and he's loving it. Unfortunately I had to tell him all the time that if he feels the mission is broken - it probably is. No more! Thank you a lot!
  7. Sorry, I ment my windows PC and way trying to crowbar in a joke about apples retarded monopoly ideas. Boy, this is so offtopic, I'm sorry. :)
  8. I just tried that on my windows. Besides my screen being all smeary now (pizza fingers) nothing happened. But it seems that Apple won... Their idea was to patent that movement, haha, so no other company can use that movement for their touchscreen devices, hahahaha.
  9. Well post it like that then. Like "Could someone please take a look at my mission and see why it's not working? Thanks." It just looks nicer that way. ;D Glad you made it work.
  10. What is the question? Anyway. Use enroute task - fac engage group instead of "task - assign group". Check the "visible" box if you want jtac to engage even without having visual c ontact to target, this also means no visual -> no IR. Check mission file and watch the track. I got it working. Just keep testing. JTAC is kinda buggy atm but being worked on so... Things will get better soon. New Missionir3.miz IR works.trk
  11. Thank you a lot for your reply Druid. 8 seconds for the initial call is cool. But once you are in contact with the JTAC it would be awesome to make it faster. The conversation feels very unnatural if you're "in hot" and gotta wait 8secs for the clearance. Sometimes I have already fired upon the target before I got clearance simply because the situation was a tense one. :-/ I understand the reasoning behind this but why did the performance drop by such a significant amount in the first place? :-/ I remember standalone a-10 being much faster at JTAC. I am all for "World" instead of a bunch of standalones but there have been multiple performance hungry things added that I don't understand/see. I hope they could get fixed in the future but somehow I got the feeling that new content is more important than fixing stuff and therefore the devs hope on stronger and faster hardware to still do the job. It's far from perfect though. And there is nothing we can do about it besides buy multiple copies of games. :( Dammit.
  12. And I did give it another shot. It deletes my A-10's loadout. No matter what I had before, after running the script I am empty. Same goes for other aircraft, the F15E I had , loaded with multiple GBU12s is not empty as well... :(
  13. Well I suppose so, since you already have found out. This is new to me but then again I never worked with anymore bigger than 200KB. Just do some testing yourself. :p Also I can not think of anything that needs more than 1MB. :-/
  14. You gotta be kidding me, wow. But then again - something as simple as this probably was thought about for a long time. And now with users controlling arty vehicles etc. they just NEED these circles to put the arty in the right places. Nice.
  15. It's not a graphical bug/issue. It's the NVG shader with the noise and the oval shape in the middle etc. :-D So it's like someone put the ingame NVGs on the camera. :) I run windowed mode by the way.
  16. Attach your mission bro. It's the easiest way to tell us what's going on. Next time, just do it in the first post. :p Guessing around does not help a lot. But attaching a mission does! Working example mission attached. in zone - message.miz
  17. Nobody else got this sometimes?
  18. All in all a very, very good list man. Thank you ED team very much. I might think about getting CA some day... :-/ But... When I got the money haha. 4 - I was the one who said "do this pls!!!" Haha, nice. 9 - finally! endless firefights! :) 15 - ?? Like what? :-/ I am pretty happy with the signal flare options atm. but there surely can be more stuff if needed. But I just wonder what it might be? Thanks a lot in advance.
  19. Nice. :)
  20. Yeah I probably did not do a clean mission. :-/ After running the script there are AI issues. On a clean mission it does not happen. Daym, man I am tempted to give it another shot, haha. :D
  21. Yep, it's clearly the script that is doing some work to the loadouts and also somehow to the AI behaviour. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1628003#post1628003 After running the script not even a clean SU25 (delete old su25, save, add new one etc. save) will do the job, they will just crash into the ground. :(
  22. Oh, sorry, I think I have to add - I ran the "auto rename units script" before testing the mission, so... It might be connected to that - since the script by accident also changes the plane's loadout. I did a "clean" test and the SU25 behaved as expected. Please disregard this for now. I should have done more testing before posting. EDIT: Yes, it's the "auto rename" script that is causing this AI behaviour. I did some testing on a clean mission and it does not occur. It only happens once you ran the rename script once. Then, even if you get a clean SU25 into the game, it will still ram the ground. This thread can be deleted, lol. :-D
  23. Thanks man. Some more testing done and... The script changes loadouts. I am not sure how exactly, on what units etc. but here is the deal: Check the two missions. After I run the script to rename the units the loadout of the SU25 has changed. Basically, one wing full of armament is gone. Also, when I open up the loadout window of the Su25 it tells me "loadout has not been saved, wanna save it as a new one"? So yeah, loadout is being touched by the script. Maan, I think I will stick to hand naming for now. :-/ This looked so promising but I am afraid of trying this on anything bigger than a test mission right now. It also seems to do weird stuff to AI. Check this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1628003#post1628003 beforeScript.miz afterScript.miz
  24. Seconded that, what is the current state of JTAC?
  25. Hey, I just wanted to test out "return fire" and found out this randomly. SU25 crashes straight into ground after it has fired it's rockets. su25 cas fail.trk
