I am not offended and yes, it's hard to get any irony & sarcasm working in the internet without smileys and such. :p It's just that you make it sound like it's the only real deal thing out there. I also own a TrackIR 5 but when I bought it I did not know any convinient ways to get alternatives. TrackIR's main plus point is - it's plug and play. I know that when my TrackIR breaks down/stops working I am getting freeTrack. High Profile - yes, everyone talks about it. High quality? I still enjoy all the features. If you're not a RP user but have an AMD GPU, get it! Ah double snap. Alright, more waiting then. :D

  6. Wow dude, it's never that simple. Please elaborate on how sitting down for 1hr, learning freeTrack software, building your own headtracker and having it work is NOT proof for dedication and being SERIOUS ABOUT SIMMING. BTW - if I don't build my own headtracker this will also be my setup. I recently read/found out about how EASY it is to use that combination and how high quality the PS3 eye camera is for these purposes, and how god damn cheap. Can't believe this POS clip is 40$ haha.
  7. Yes, you got that right. I am going to bed in 5min but if the triggers are "once" triggers, try this: Set up 2 trigger zones. A big one and a small one within the big one. Now you can do this: all of group A inside zone (big zone) all of group A outside zone (small zone) OR all of group B inside zone (big zone) all of group B outside zone (small zone) etc. If no unit is there -> false, because unit is NOT inside big zone. If unit is there but inside small zone -> false, because inside small zone If unit exits small zone -> true, because out of small zone but still in big zone I THINK.... This should work. :) Give it a try. EDIT: I could not resist, it works in singleplayer. I am not sure how it will handle on MP clients. Give it a try. @MissionEditorTesting.miz
  8. Not really, it's the other way around. The first check box says "enforce this option" and the value of the option is set in the 2nd checkbox. If you do not enforce an option whatever the user has set in his in game options will be used. So if he has game mechanics set and 1000% bird chance, that will be used. Unless enforced by the mission. Which is why you wanna enforce stuff. :D

  10. Kenan, sorry bro but you HAVE TO LOWER your expectations. Flaming Cliffs was always and will always be about air to air combat. It has been said that the simple flight model has been maxed out when it comes to landings. There is nothing more they can do and nothing more you can do. The way I understood it they were not announcing a change of the flight model but improved landing dynamics. The way you described a change there is pretty much proof enough right now that they are working on it.

In Battlefield 3 we had an issue lately where we were promised new weapons in the aftermath DLC but all we got was a crappy crossbow. Also the promised weapons disappeared from all the ads. Effin EA business style. When I read "promised feature" I instantly thought of EA and thought that's fckd up! Sorry again, heh.

  14. There is no software-way to manipulate brightness of the "Pro"Clip LEDs. There probably is some hardware way but I don't know one. TrackIR is an overpriced product, screw monopolism...
  15. I do not own FC3 but I thought flaming cliffs was all about dog fights, stuff in the air? So I guess that was the major focus (and of course getting FC2 into DCS:W) and you guys should treat it that way. It's not a single high detail module aircraft, it's a pack that focusses on dog fights. As long as that works fine I would not be worried. A2A refuel bothers me though, that should be just as realistic as it is in the a-10. Landings and start though? I would not care I think since I would have bought FC3 for the air to air stuff.

Yep, DCS Manual is in DCS WORLD\DOC\DCS manual.pdf :) Also real quick - late activation for GROUND units usually means that on trigger action "group activate" they appear in the map and start doing their thing. But if you tick the "visible before start" checkbox on the ground unit, it will SHOW the ground unit in game, it wil have no AI though and I am not sure if it's gonna be engaged by enemy units. late activation for planes.miz
  17. Gotta check the "uncontrolled" box on the aircraft first. Then the "start" command will actually work. Otherwise they just start. ^^ Also I would love to introduce you to forum search. :) When you're in a forum, click on "search forum-advanced search" and type in ROUGHLY what you are looking for. It's very easy when you look for specific mission editor functions such as "late activation" or "uncontrolled" or "dynamic weather". Make sure to "search titles only" and you will get pretty good results. It's tougher when you have specific questions but for editor features/buttons it's the way to go. :) http://forums.eagle.ru/search.php?searchid=5101290 Anyway, example mission will be uploaded in 2 min so you can take a look.

  20. I am not sure but I think performance wise 1 group with 100 tanks in it performs better than 100 groups with 1 tank in it. I am not sure how this is handled on aircraft but just keep in mind that if you have a WHOLE CRAZY BUNCH of units in their single groups it MIGHT have a performance impact.
  21. Nah man, this behaviour is inconsistent and I don't feel like fiddling with something that is as inconsistent. :-/ I'm glad I am not the only one seeing this problem though as it happened to you as well. With my mission file.
  22. Thanks. Yeah, they work in singleplayer on yourself. If you put a CLIENT on invisible/immortal and test in a MP envorinment - does not work. Client is visible and killable. Client has to be CLIENT, not host. Host is somewhat weird.
  23. Immortal and Invisible don't work still in multiplayer. Lol. I made this mission to test the "JTAC not there for join in progress clients", let a buddy of mine host and joined his game. By accident I found out that first of all - as soon as I spawn in the A-10 the BTRs start engaging me (invisible not working), also they damage me (immortal not working). jtac Test.miz
  24. Oh what?! I am 100% sure I had the same setup as I have right now with my A-10 and the predator did not use IR pointer. That's what weirded me out, because the predator is mainly a UAV and therefore should be very capable of providing targetind data, digitally and via all kinds of marks... I will re-check my mission right now. Thanks for the heads up. I attached my mission - Predator does not want to mark with IR pointer. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? jtac Test.miz
