Hello i unpleasantly discovers windows 10 new features each days, but on this one, i don't know whose fault. i've 2 monitors, and since a installed DCS 1.5 on win10, it seems that borderless/fullscreen is the same, my mouse can leave the screen, to the other one. very annoying when we use external view as you can misclick on another application. as i played 1.2.x on windows 7 without this problem, can you tell me what im doing wrong? before that, i was forced to alt-tab if i wanted to get the mouse out of DCS, in fullscreen mode btw. i never tried specific softwares to bound the mouse to 1 screen, and i think activating nvidia surround, unplugging the second monitor or anything else is quite non convenient, compared to a true fullscreen mode like before.
  3. many app can display your fps, but none of them displays ingame monitoring (like shadow, draws/sec, objects, etc..) atm i did not succeed, even tried rebinding this key to another one. :(
  4. Maybe it's not new, i don't know, but the new boarding / transportation option is great, really. but 2 things : - Boarding works only for UH1H and Mi8. Probably intended but... as AI can perform this task wonderful task without scripting now, it should be preferable to allow cargo access to any transport chopper like CH48 - CH53, MI28, MI24 etc... - Transportation... i have no clue how to get this to work. i set a transportable charge, an UH-1H with some cable lengh, a task to retrieve the cargo, a bit like boarding but the chopper lands not to far, and leave without the charge.
  5. i like your touch in 1.5 naval warfare (or maybe earlier), but CIWS produce no sound with ticonderoga. it's ok for Oliver Perry though.
  6. LoL Toast. I noticed KA-50 sound is changing step by step each updates, to remove any sound related to a "monster" chopper, with big, loud bass effects, to something closer to the cobra. at least, it's just audio files, i think we can easily revert them to an older installation, i liked every vibes before 1.2.6 i think. i'll try when i can. maybe this W.E.

  8. gdx65, VA panels have good contrasts and response time. but i still can prefer the ips large view angle feature. Dell has also an excellent color output and reliability. At office (Editing / VFX) we use both Dell and Samsung IPS. it's clear samsung cannot meet Dell's quality. Larger screens is another business. :)

Was looking for a long time a monitor like this http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2415.htm DELL U2415 1920x1200 - almost borderless - IPS matte - high quality - fair price (300€) will fit perfectly between my two other 16.10 screens. you have the U2414 for the 16/9 one, 200€. but still, if you want 16/9, go for a big plasma TV :-) (wait for hdmi 2.0 though)
  10. Not just you Flagrum. unfortunately, i realized DCS product are in favor of multiplayersession. Not single one with AI. bringing AI wingmen with you serves best in carrying extra vikhrs. (and detecting threats). but they're not smart at all. SnowTiger, in my humble opinion, the tracking gate doesn't matter. it's just a location, somewhere in a 2D world. that's why they can engage the wrong target sometime when using datalink targets. you should take it like : a point, center of the circle where every units detected is suject to death, as long as the AI is smart enough to detect the target himself. my X52Pro is out for some time, i'll glady take a look around, seeing if 1.2.8+ hasn't changed things again. Thanks you all ! Edit : testing atm. some behaviorq changed, need to update the guide (a litlle)
  11. What a beautiful line of patch note ;-) I will update this post with last reports as soon as i can, right now i'm working like a fool and my joystick is well buried in the basement.
  12. We've got TrashCans MP6.1 at office, the 8c 3Ghz with dual D700 for example. I ran some tests (it doesn't have Bootcamp) a few weeks ago and concluded that my i7 4790K + Gtx780 is by far superior to that machine under OsX UEFI... For the quarter of the price. The only weakness of the 4790K is its Core count. 4C Highly clocked VS normal Xeon 8C = loss of advance for apps that use 7cores++ Buying a mac to play simulations ? never again. Concerning the build... i would not invest in a soundcard, but preferably choose one with ALC1150 + DTS connect available for gaming surround purposes using SPDIF. GTX 760 seems to be the lower limit, and an i7 with HT gives you an real extra core for 4 logicals. but i'm sure an i5 is good enough anyway.

As i am somehow crazy with this co-axial chopper, i tried it a while ago. came to conclusion that there was a hitbox, independant from blades diameter because DCS have a cinetic-like model, and even at full speed i did not entered this hangar, just bumped and sank. honestly, i would prefer a solid landstrip on carrier (without whole and drift), than having access to basements :p

  16. this bug was reported a long time ago here : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36684 I can see now Abris shows differences. can't say it for other instruments. Thank you for this report tietze. I'll change the OP.
  17. Hi all ! It's updated (finally) I hope to see more BS2 lines in the upcoming 1.2.8 patch note than the Gun shell ejection. Yes BS2 is playable, but unfortunately there's some nasty bugs left. (no, i'm not looking at Magnetic deviaton)
  18. It was reported by JG_smil in 1.2.3. I've tested this bug in 1.2.0 and added to my bug thread under CALC malfunction. We do not forget :)
  19. For wingman efficiency, you should check my AI datalink guide. Wingmen's AI is now a coward, (it used to play rambo-style suicidal mission) Yes, it's a "show me ennemies" cheat mate, but don't rely on them to remove any air defense in tricky area without trouble. :(
  20. well, i've made a dcs codex for every ground armors and Ka weapons, in my sig. to sum it up : 0 penetration = soft unit (human), 1 penetration = god-mode unit vikhr : damage 37.9 points, penetration 0.2 max (the best armored unit = bunker with 50 life and 0.2 armor) 1x S-13 : damage 115 points, penetration 0.01 (5 by pod) Kh25 : damage 160 points, penetration 0.01 if you get me, they do high damage, but on soft targets. it means, that they can overkill non-armored grount unit (most of them have 1-5 life, even M2A2) they can penetrates through ship modules (a Ticonderoga has 1200 life, separated by sections (bridge, front canon, etc..) and can sink a civilian ship (cargo/tanker = 200-400life) but you'll never kill a heavy grount unit, any tank of heavy APC. For the distance, you can engage manually with a vikhr at 10km, 13 if you're over 1km. Once you know that, it's easy :)
  21. Previously, air2air combat was easier. just asking your wingmen to engage them, they were really fast and deadly, like rambo. but WM AI were modified a few patches ago. Now they're just chicken hearted. if you take a look to my datalink guide, you'll notice that they try to met certains condition to fire a missile. And to worst of them is the min/max distance. Don't count on them with fast moving target with IR missiles. Good luck.
  22. Asking about the shark itself or the .exe :p Blackshark 2, afaik, is not really updated anymore. there's a few bug's left, but it's mainly about high-fidelity mechanics. Apart that, it's a very good copter. biggest playability difference between 1 & 2 is the collective. you need much more collective to fly in BS2. The first times, i crashed a lot :) for exe stability, it depends, like Cichlidfan said. BS2 require a good hardware. i don't recommend it on a core2duo.

My 2 cents : Currently, cars (i mean civilan trafic) are like trees. they can pass trough almost anything, and have a specific collision model. that's why, apart for some coachs, i can drive a Ka-50 on a road without trouble. And that's why a military column will ignore civilan trafic. You can see a part of it at 0:30 in wag's video. Civilan trafic doesn't not take much CPU cycles. moreover, it's dispensable. you can turn it off. For lights, we don't know yet if they're fixed or not. i din't seen any going from green to red.
  25. Quite??? Just create a "Police" texture apply to any helo and here we go ! Track for speed excess, drug trafic, criminal acts on the run, local police chase and so on ! By the way, does the trafic lights works ? or the main road stay green, secondary roads on red. If i see any car passing a red light, it will have hard time avoiding my vikhrs. It's very nice Matt. just need to move out some building placed on highway :) another DCS concept within DCS !
