So the AGM-65's (IR and CCD) appear to be automatically ground stabilized, similar to how the TPOD works. In the A-10, mavericks don't auto ground stabilize. They can be temporarily held on a spot on the ground with TMS down, but soon as they're slewed they move with aircraft movement instead of relative to ground position. Is this a bug? or as intended? Have I been missing out on Maverick slewing like a Tpod all this time in A-10 somehow?! Thanks all!

A friend and I, when flying missions with lots of assets and units, have a problem when flying using a 3rd computer as a server. If either one of us hosts, this issue disappears. However we like Mbot's screaming eagle campaign, which any given mission has a lot going on so we use my friend's laptop (i7 6700HQ, GTX970m 16 gigs ram) to host. That laptop has a vanilla copy of DCS installed, with no modules purchased. The laptop's account just sits in the lobby while he and I occupy F15's and fly the mission. He hasn't had this issue, but I encounter an issue where I will be launched on, and the missile will not appear to be tracking me but when the missile gets inside a mile or so, it disappears and I am hit. Watching the track from my friend's POV, I am hit fair and square. Same with what the server sees. However, looking at my track what I reported is indeed what I am seeing happen. I have attached the track, watch with labels on to see. The issue was also verified in Tacview When we don't use the laptop as a server, we don't have this issue. So shift - e is special afterburner mode, which gives you more power. My question is, is there any limit to how long this can be employed for? I flew around with it on for about 3 minutes and saw no damage whatsoever. Wouldn't the engine nozzles melt or take damage? Is it just not modeled?

Seem to be having an issue in 2.5 beta with strike packages not doing their job. First time it was buffs, straight up not dropping bombs. second time we had 8 (EIGHT!!!) F-16's circling over groom air force base, tasked with damaging the fuel depot. They didn't drop a damn thing, just circled overhead, sustaining heavy losses after a period of time. -
The DMT can compute CCIP for guns on ground and CCRP for bombs. Didnt know if it could somehow do something magical for a gun sight. A funnel doesn't need a radar; even the A10 has one of those. How do you switch between long and short range sight? just cage / uncage?

Not sure if its not modeled, not implemented yet, or I'm doing something wrong but is the only way to use the gun in A2A mode that fixed sight? Cage / Uncage appears to make the reticle larger and smaller but thats all. Is there a funnel or some other means of employing the gun A2A that I'm missing? Thanks

So not arguing one way or the other, but is this as intended? Or will it be changed again? Should the eagle and flanker perform such as they do now?

Tried editing the mission, going through the triggers, and even giving myself waypoints. Still unable to turn on autopilot channels... NO IDEA whats wrong with this mission.

Is there a way to have a fighter group on the ramp, that waits to take off? If you do late activation, they simply don't exist until activated.. My question is, is there a way to have them exist and only begin their tasking, mission, etc, when triggered? I can't seem to find a wait or delay option...

So with the release of 2.5 into beta, I went to go fly my favorite KA-50 mission, Courier. For whatever reason, I seem to be unable to engage the autopilot stabilization channels. Did a search for this and yielded no results... I tried cold starting in a different mission and had no issues, to make sure it wasn't me messing up the cold start procedure somehow. Next I tried using the CHEAT autostart function in the courier mission. The channels are still unable to be engaged. Even the autostart cheat didn't engage them. The PV800 is also inoperative, and I noticed there are no waypoints in the mission. Could this have been a translation error from 1.58 to 2.5?

Thank you! what about impending 2.5 release? I am really anxious to continue the campaign. Yes I know I can skip missions but I want to do them all in order and not miss a thing!

We all new the impending DCS Hornet will be able to employ the AIM-9X... But will this be backdated to the F-15C?

So I've flown mission 7 about 5 times now, and I'm unsure what to do. I take off, get the banter, and I'm instructed to fly to intercept 4 L39's and a fishbed. Everytime, it seems that the fishbed turns back for whatever reason and disappears. I merge with the L39's and they attempt to fire at me with R60's (like kittens trying to swat at a Rottweiler, lol) but I'm never given permission to fire. I fly back to steerpoint 5 and let them conduct their business, and it LOOKS like they're doing rocket passes at the valley but no ordinance leaves their ships, and I'm guessing thats why I'm losing a trigger or something to get permission to fire. If I fire on them, even after they've launched R60s, I get a mission fail. I'm unsure as to how to proceed; I try giving them extra time to get to the valley before I intercept and interrupt them, but to no avail. Am I missing something?

Any way to make it so the GUI and menu's are on the monitor, and you only put the rift on to fly? I prefer the mission editor and menus to not be in the headset.

Thanks for the quick reply! I went into the mission and gave myself and my wigman a 3rd bag of gas, so he didn't run out. This gave me an extra bit of dialoge at the end and I went back to vizani. Interestingly enough, score was a 90 at that time and when I landed it changed to 100. Thank you for your help!

Hey, first off fantastic job with the writing and voice acting! However I seem to be having problems completing mission 1; I seem to do everything correct but when I finish, it never lets me go to mission 2 and the "results" are always 50. I fly in formation with MAGIC and BRAVO, lock up the flankers, divert to kutasi, and park but the mission is never satisfactory? My wingman always ends up ejecting due to low fuel. Could that be the issue?

Wow! Thanks for the input all. As suggested I downloaded MSI Afterburner (I actually use riveira for fallout to maintain a stable frame rate) and I tried to dip the FPS as much as possible. The CPU came close to max quite a few times, and did max a time or two, so that very well may be the problem. Yes it's running at 3.5 ghz stock, no I haven't overclocked it, and I have 8 gigs of DDR4 ram which wasn't even close to maxed out according to MSI I knew it was time for a new MOBO and processor anyway. Thank you all again for all of your inputs!
