  2. Turns out the "steam VR" and "steam VR for WMR" are separate things and you gotta turn them BOTH off. Thanks!
  3. How did you leave Steam WMR beta?! I opted out, and it STILL launches in beta no matter what I do! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling even.

  6. Hey shdwp, I had a few suggestions on how to make the campaign a little more immersive and less "sterile" feeling. So each mission kind of feels like it's in a vacuum; I kind of don't get the feeling that I'm fighting a war, more like I'm fighting a series of individual encounters like I'm going through a tournament almost. This is partially because of the way units end up getting grouped on the ground, and more so because nothing precludes the player from just buying the best units. For example... The enemy will buy a variety of units on the ground, however I'll just buy NOTHING but M1A1 tanks because they're the best, and they just steam roll the BRDM's and T55's and whatever else the enemy buys. Same with aircraft; they're throwing mirages at me and C101's and I'm always flying a hornet. Little unfair. When I do a base attack, all the enemies start grouped out together in the middle of the airfield. Perhaps make them spread out? So! What I'm suggesting, is perhaps... 1. make certain units "locked" until later in the campaign forcing the player to use less powerful aircraft early on. This gives more of a challenge and variety to the campaign. 2. instead of being able to buy individual ground units, maybe sell units in "groups" or "packs" or "platoons" or something. For example, you could buy a group of 3x m1a1, 2x stryker, and 5x humvee. This gives a more realistic distribution of ground units and forces the player to not spam m1a1's the whole time. At the end of the engagement, you could choose to pay to "repair and replace" lost units of that platoon, or sell off the remainder of them for the difference in money. 3. For base attack missions, give each base being attacked a free compliment of static objects and basic defenses. Like ZSU-23 ground emplacements, manpads, some parked trucks and tents, just make the base feel "alive" and like its an actual lived in base, instead of just a platform for the engagement of the two sides.

  8. When tasked with a base strike, how does one damage the base? See the attached image, this is what the AI is tasked to destroy. I blew up ALL of those buildings, and the base took no damage at all! Any help appreciated!

  10. "Commit" button doesn't work on PG on frontline CAP from kermin to shiraz, and in caucuses we did a CAP mission successfully, but then a frontline CAS mission that wouldn't take the briefing. All missions were all resaved in ME and we did the correct MP shutdown procedure for each mission. Logs and debriefings attached. debrief.rar

  12. Okay! here you go. Important thing to note: NO TRIGGERS WORKED unless we start with the server paused first. Not sure why this is; might have to do with no units starting in the initial zone after the mission is started? Anyway: SITUATION 1: we started on the ground, server UNPAUSED, no triggers worked. at all. See debrief attached. SITUATION 2: we started in the air, server PAUSED and both triggers worked! we shot a few things and then quit the mission as per your instructions (select role, switch mission, etc) however the python program still refused to accept the debrief logs.   13. Okay, so Krag6 and I have been testing. Very strange results... Situation 1: attack mission. units: 2x AV-8B player controlled, both of them. 4x abrams. Server starts unpaused. Result: Neither push nor activate trigger happen, map is completely devoid of all units except the 2 harriers that we occupy. Debrief not accepted by python program. Situation 2: attack mission. units: 2x AV-8B player controlled, both of them. 4x abrams. Server starts PAUSED. Result: push trigger activates, we receive message but the activate trigger does not happen, map is completely devoid of all units except the 2 harriers that we occupy. Debrief not accepted by python program. Situation 3: attack mission. units: 2x AV-8B player controlled, both of them. 2x mirage computer controlled. 4x abrams. Server starts Paused. Result: push and activate trigger happens, mission goes on as planned, enemies show up and all however debrief is still not accepted by the program. Situation 4: we ran the same mission that worked, only no player controlled units we just observed the AI. It didn't take the debrief that time either. It would seem that multiplayer is still broken.   17. Hey! Multiplayer works, but theres now an issue where it always counts the host ending the mission as a "death." Whenever I would leave the server, or switch to observer, i'd die. However my friend who's hosting, whenever he shuts down server he's fine. Wouldnt count as a loss. We tested this with me flying a hornet and him an A-10 just to verify. I come, leave, switch roles to observer, its fine. He closes server? Hornet lost. Any ideas? EDIT: we tried using a third PC for the server, we now lost BOTH aircraft, he and I, so the clients count as loses at server shutdown it would seem EDIT 2: We tried adding a "mission end" trigger in the F10 menu, which worked insofar as it shut down the mission and kept us alive, but the format for the briefing is one that the python refused to recognize :\ We're out of ideas for how to make this work, now.
  18. Both myself and my friend (who runs DCS on a drive that isn't C drive) have the issue "Al Dafhra base not captured yet!" whenever we try to do anything from the get go in multiplayer. Single player works fine. Help?

  20. Did a search, read the early access guide Rotate the emergency / parking brake and then pull it out to activate? Does't seem to work. in the ALT ENTER view, the white horizontal brake lines go up but no red triangles rise up under them which I assume is brake pressure. I get a deedle deedle parking brake message when I then advance throttle, but the aircraft taxi's freely. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in the 6/13 patch?

  22. Did a search, read the early access guide, checked the mini updates to see if it's implemented yet. Can't find anything, and I'm unable to get the ALQ-165 ECM to work. What am I doing wrong? is it not implemented yet?
