  1. I noticed that this "new feature" causes many missiles not to find the laser beam. Never lost so many missiles since 1.2.0. Even when hovering at low altitude (wind: 3m/s) the Launch Zone Circle is so much off center that i have to roll to the side to make the Circle go to the middle so I can shoot the missile. If I just use the rudder to move the circle to the middle the chance that the missile fails to find the laser beam increases drastically causing dump missiles.
  2. I started playing online four days ago after years of single player. And one thing I noticed is that people sometimes lock the server so that not so much people can join because of stability issues. So before we will see more public servers the netcode has to improve (a lot).
  3. I too have the feeling (but no evidence) that the flight model changed. Because: In previous versions what I did to stop the chopper from fast flight was I dropped the throttle to zero and pitched the nose in the sky. So I could stop very fast without gaining too much altitude. In this position I had to stay for some seconds (maybe 5-10?). But now the Shark tends to fall to the ground VERY fast. It's indeed like now you need more power. As I said: just my feeling (must be a big placebo-pill that I swallowed). ;)
  4. To my mind it's a pitty that so many people here think that an older plane is "bad". I think it's more of a challange. Try to get along with what you have. It's like going hunting in real life. Wouldn't it be boring if you just press a button and the deer drops dead on the ground? Thats why I would prefer a F-4 Phantom over a F-22 and I have so much fun in the KA-50. And I would love a War-Theatre in the 70ies or 80ies, where only a few BVR engaements result in a kill and you have IR A-A missiles with only rear aspect abilities, no JDAMs, etc... Sure its fun to learn how the TGP works and it would be fun to learn all the stuff in a F-22 but the satisfaction of a kill drops with more sophisticated equipment - at least to me.

  6. Hi guys! Does anybody know how I can make the three buttons (function, start/stop, reset) under the display of the throttle usable, so I can assign them in the Saitek-Software? Thanks!

  10. Happened to me once, but that was because I tried to raise my airbrakes while I was holding down the weapon release button. Maybe you pressed some other button/slide on your HOTAS while depressing the release button?
  11. Hallo Mop, ich fliege die KA-50 auch schon seit einigen Jahren, bis jetzt aber noch nie im MP (nur 1-2 mal mit nem Kumpel im LAN). Habe mir letztens vorgenommen das mal zu ändern. Das Problem ist, ich habe die Upgrade-Version und die läuft ja im Moment nicht in DCS:World. Muss wohl erst mal etwas abwarten... Habe mir für die Zeit die A-10c vorgenommen. Also, wenns so weit ist trifft man sich ja vielleicht wieder! Grüße!!
  12. Ok, now I get it. I opened the mission in the mission EDITOR (not planer) and there are a lot of hidden units. Thats ok. But how am I supposed to do my CAS job when there are 20 air defences? I would have to scan the whole area with the Shkval to find and destroy them, before I could do CAS. That would take about two hours. Isn't it a failure in the mission creation? Shouldn't there be a SEAD package (or two)? One SU-25T (the wingman gets always shot down in the beginning) against a bunch of air defences with a task to support ground troups...ufff. When you don't know where the enemy units are you have no chance... How did you do it?
  13. Hi guys, I'm having big problems with the first mission of Georian Oil War campaign in the SU-25T. I take off and fly to the enemy group located near the beach. Scanning with the Shkval I spot the nearest air defence and engage it with a laser guided missile. At max range of the missile I fire and sometimes before the missile hits or short after I get shot down from some other air defence. I tried about ten different approaches...from the sea, from the land, from high altitude, low...almost always getting shot down at the first approach. One time I read the debriefing and it says Unit #31 or #29 (both Manpad) shot me down. So I decided to cheat and opened the mission in the mission planer to see where the enemy is. But there is no Unit #31 or #29!? No matter what I do or try I fail...dropping counter measures like hell does'n help, approaching from different directions and engaging the Manpads first...no luck. Then one time a Mig 21 shot me down... How can it be mastered? It is so difficult! Does anybody have a suggestion?? Maybe a track? Has somebody mastered this campaign (or the first mission)? I'm new to the SU-25, coming from the Shark. In the pit of the Shark I'm the king of the world but in the Toad it seems not doable... *frustrating* Thanks a lot!
  14. It would be really nice to have a failure log in the debriefing so you exactly know what went wrong and if something went wrong.
  15. Hi! Happened to me yesterday too. Black See Ramp Start. I went through the startup, both engines were running. I was reading the manual (I'm new to the Hog thanks to PayPal) doing nothing in the cockpit. After 2-3 minutes suddenly the right engine went down. I thought it might be one of the random failures. Restarted the engine without problems.
  16. Just wanted to say that I have the same Problems with my Saitek x52. The Shark is unflyable for me right now. I can provide more tracks to this problem if needed. Thanks for your efforts Viper! Hope this will be solved soon...
