  1. Last question, is there a way to make spawns available after a certain trigger. Tried to activate client group at a later time but you can spawn in the group right at the beginning of the mission.

By the way I also have a problem with the cruise missiles not exploding after they hit target. This is only since the update to world 1.2 Am hoping to make an old fashioned bomber escort mission with a lot of mp dogfighting that can run on its own and determine a winner and then restart the round.
  4. Hello, I am trying to make a mission that initially spawns AI units to do a mission but dispatches them RTB when a client joins. I tried using the "if unit alive/dead" and "if unit group alive/dead" to trigger this but this hasn't worked until now. Does anybody know of a way to trigger this? Also I couldn't find a way to command units to RTB intermediately. To bypass this I tried using orbit at 0ft to make them crash. This worked initially but since the new patch the units just keep orbiting at low altitude. Is it possible to get the units to RTB or would anybody think it would be a good request for implementing?
  5. Thanks I used to click with my right mouse button on the mixture while starting. This must have been it. I put the cap back down after starting but guess that doesnt always toggle the switch back to off.

  9. Hello, I have a problem with my radio. I cant get my radio to work when i follow the normal startup procedure, green light goes out when i start the engine. Does keep working when i use the autostart sequence though. Is this a beta issue? Anybody else have this problem?

  11. Awesome, just the simple solutions I was looking for... I love this forum. Also is it possible to keep a trigger from happening when there are clients in, for example the red team. I want to create a mission that fires a couple of AI planes in the air when I am the only one playing but doesn't do it when there are players in both teams.

  16. Thanks for your reply. I cant attach my unitpayload.lua files since they are larger than 500kb. Have been able to fix the problem manually though. I have posted my solution here. I dont know what the problem with the program was but found its also pretty easy to convert your created payloads in the mission editor.
  17. Thanks, great post. Had some problems with a loadout creator program so I ended up here. Seems you can also create loadouts in the mission editor and then move the My Data\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\MissionEditor\unitPayloads.lua file to the C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\MissionEditor\data\scripts directory and overwrite (dont forget to backup). This doesnt work instantly and that is where your post comes in. Looks like the loadout is then created in the file but not assigned to a rearm menu group therefore you need to edit the file by adding a line referring to the category. this line was only in the file after moving it unitPayloads["A-10C"]["tasks"][31][64]["name"] = "LIFT/IQT/MQT - DCON 1" had to add this to put it in my LIFT/IQT/MQT sub menu. unitPayloads["A-10C"]["tasks"][31][64]["category"] = "LIFT/IQT/MQT" notice the "["tasks"][31][64]" referring to the specific payload. With this you can assign as many in the planner created payloads as you wish to the menus (as long as the total per menu is less then 9)
  18. Srry, cant get it to work for dcs a10c v1.1.1.1 . Trying to use a modified payload file to add a couple of extra options to it. Put the file in dcspmt1.0b_updated\DCS2_template\MissionEditor\data\scripts as unitpayloads.lua start the program and get all the options im supposed to get. The problem comes when I make a change and save it. The file then generated is only 600 kb while the original file was 1500kb. Also tried to use the generated file in dcs but cant access any communications menu's. Anybody have a solution, or another way to add a couple of options to my rearm menu?
  19. thnx Thank you for the background story BLUE helps alot with understanding the systems and buttons. I tried to find the EVE and delta update in the manual but I cant find it either. Are these things modeled in the sim? I Would assume this delta update is a function used when there is no altitude information available from gps/maps like in an unknown territory. Also I had some trouble with ccip bombing accurancy which is how I got here, assumed it had to do with my altitude settings. So was hoping a switch to radar/delta would make it more accurate. Would be a lot easier if I knew if there is an estimated vertical error.
  20. Its a real bummer that you cant refuel/rearm during the campaigns, most of the time my wingman goes kamikaze into a sam site and im left on my own. Being alone I don't have enough munitions to take out all targets. Would be way better if they'd just put a friendly unit on each allied airbase so that rearming is possible. Now you just have to guess whether you can rearm, which 90% of the time isn't possible. It also needs to be clearer where in the base you need to be to rearm. Would also be cool if you could command your wingman to rearm and to have a ramp start campaign (without bugs) as a possibility.

  22. I dont think the missions are too hard. Its just hard to find out what it is thats exactly expected when you do a mission. You cant get around the triggers because when you make the margins bigger somebody can pass by doing any random maneuver. It might help if you make the orders more detailed (e.g. with the efato approach you could say something like make an safe apporoach from the sea), it would also help if you would include more detailed diagrams or a link to the source of the procedure information so that people can also have a feeling that they are doing the exact right thing. These are just some ideas to make it less stressful for people to pass. It is very time consuming to have to restart etc the plane every time if you have to find out by trial and error. I hope this will help you in making future missions, atm I am enjoying your missions very much but find them a bit too frustrating at times. I will definitely buy future missions If they are a little less frustrating. Good luck
