The Buttkicker will rattle your chair! and you along with it :) . But your not going to get if for less than £50!
-
I'm not 100% if it's modeled but chaff should disrupt a radar. This would work best on something like a shilka. Larger more powerful radars will simply burn through the chaff and the ECM pod.

No the display settings in the sim itself
-
It's in the display settings, if unchecked windows aero is allowed.

Cycle through the gun sight modes, first select the gunsight sub mode on the HUD Then use DMS left and right (short) to cycle through them, By the way it's called the gunsight funnel.

Happy to help!

Ok so I don't see a thread on books. I really enjoy reading technical aircraft books, aircraft history and pilot books. I thought this could be the place to recommend less well known books to fellow simmmers! I'll start off with these four Elite Flyers, The men, The machines, The missions - Andy Evans Dogfight, The greatest air duels of WW2 - editor Tony Homes, Osprey Publishing For the more hardcore / Engineer, Design for Air Combat - Ray Whitford Modern Combat Aircraft Design - Klaus Huenecke

The nose section sort of looks like the SU-25T! -
To add to the helpful things cichlidfan has said already, COD will also be hard on your system, not running on high either. But I think it's a great sim with plenty of potential! No fancy constant speed props like the P-51 either ;)

Same for me 75-100% Once I started using TS I could never go back! It can irritate me sometimes when people join and don't type chat OR use TS

Falcon 4 AF is still great fun, I would say that it's the best way to learn the F-16, personally I prefer the campaigns in AF than BMS. The dogfighting is epic in AF too such a challenge! I have no problem shooting down fighters in BMS.

Thanks for clearing that up, odd how it always took me exactly 3 seconds to input 1 minute!
-
You can get the buttkicker for the vibration of your chair
-
Ya that's why i'v posted, couldn't find anything. That was the initial conclusion I came to that it took 3 seconds from pressing the hack button to finally pressing enter when I was ready, but it's still the same for me even if I delay it
-
I don't think it's a bad thing, that's too realistic for FFB. I'd call it immersion!! Surely the more realistic the better? We are simmers after all :smilewink:
-
Hi, Here is my issue. I press HACK on the UFC, set it to 1 minute, for example. I then press enter, but it starts counting from 57 seconds not 60? this happens for all setting, it doesn't begin at what I set it to. Anybody know why it begins countdown lower than the setting?

All aircraft creek and groan to some degree when they stall. So they are correct. I'v never experienced a silent stall... remember the A-10 did not have stall buffet implemented until recently, did not mean it didn't have it in real life

Unless you make the mission yourself or edit an existing one, then no. You are at the mercy of what the mission editor did. Now you can change the loadout and the skin no problem. First go into the mission editor. Then click on your jet. Alternatively click on add new fixed wing and set the skill to player, or client for multiplayer. On the right hand side when you click on the jet there will be information. The first is waypoint information. click on the tab to the right of that, it looks kind of like a front view of a bomb. Then either select the load out or make your own also choose paint scheme . These picks should help.

Holding my CFS 2 manual in my hand right now! still read it from time to time..

Try again.....:D But seriously, for me DCS captures the best feeling that you are flying. Especially the P-51!!
-
Teapot I never said you were wrong! I was referring to when you said that flying always felt like flying including your experience on the FBW jet. This is because all the aircraft you have been on are stable and behave the same. Of course what you are saying is true, We all "feel" this. Our brain becomes accustomed to identifying flying as this "feel". How it "feels" to us or, more accurately how we believe it should "feel". In my experience, an aircraft does feel different depending on how it's set up. for example how it flies, feels when the CoG is at it's aft or forward limits.

Yes 5 and 7 are the inner most pair. OK, here is your best bet. This track will answer all your problems ;) You can also ripple in singles, whichever you prefer. CBU Double Pairs.trk
-
As Jona pointed out 5 and 7 will cause a problem, try a test by selecting stations 4 and 8 only. If you are still unable to get it to work then I will see what I can help you with from there. I just tried it to make sure and no problems for me. The only other thing is if you want to let more than 2 go, you'll have to select ripple pairs. e.g. to drop 4 you will need to select all 4 and set them to ripple in pairs. CBU Pairs.trk
