  1. Does water create background "clutter" like terrain does, or is there no return to the radar. DCS and RL. MJ
  2. If this is from the Su-33 campaign "Sea Dragon", I would also like to hear about this as I'll be starting this one as soon as I figure out how to protect my own task force! MJ
  3. Thank you both! Just what I was looking for. Ironhand, that vid is excellent, I had watched it when you replied to my other question about the speedboats, but I had to watch it again for it to sink in. My dive angle is way to steep. Many unsuccessful bombing runs (ground dart).I'll go practice with a shallow dive. Is L Cntl V a toggle in the Su27? I'm using unlimited weapons in my practice and don't see a weapons panel like in the Su25T. The manual doesn't mention one either. Thanks again MJ
  4. Any info on these?
  5. This is not a bug or problem, just a question. Please move if needed. After a brief discussion in the another forum, I have been testing the RBK 500 and the KMGU dispensers. The encyclopedia shows 2 RBK-500 bombs, the AO and the SPBE-D. My choices in the mission editor are the RBK-500 PTAB-10-5 or the RBK-500U PTAB- 1M. I'm sure the AO variant is Anti personnel/material, so I assume the SPBE-D is anti armor, but am not clear on the others. Can someone shed some light on this for me? I am also having problems deploying these cluster bombs in CCIP. By the time I get the fall line, I'm too low for the bomb to deploy submunitions. They work fairly well using CCRP, if I can place the pipper correctly on my run in. Thanks for the help. MJ
  6. One more question. What is the difference between the RBK cluster bombs and the KMGU dispensers?
  7. I can see the wake but am having a hard time seeing the actual boat. I will try leading the wake more than I have been and see if that makes a difference. MJ
  8. Thanks for the tips, Ironhand. I'll look for your video. MJ
  9. I don't see a Su33 forum so I'll post this here. I have come back to the Sea Dragon campaign after being stuck on this mission before. !4 or 16 armed speedboats attack the carrier group and my wingman and I have to stop them. My wingy does pretty good at taking them out, but I can't for the life of me see them well enough to get a bead on them before I have to pull off or crash in the drink. I can see a wake and have tried to aim in front of it but without seeing the actual boat it is extremely difficult and I have yet to protect the carrier group. Is there a tactic one uses, or do certain speedboats need to be hit to stop the attack? Any and all ideas are greatly needed. I have tried zooming in but it makes my target fixation even worse:joystick: MJ
  10. I only wanted to delete the video training missions (.OGV) because they are over 2Gb in size, and they are such poor quality that I would rather watch Youtube videos. I would like to see interactive training, maybe after the merge. Thanks for your help MJ
  11. Sorry, the F15. Now that I look at it, it would be all the planes in FC3. I see a delete button at the bottom of the training page for FC3 , but am not sure that deletes them from my drive or just the game.
  12. Nobody knows where these go?
  13. Where are the FC3 training vids downloaded to? I was hoping for interactive training missions, but discovered they are just old videos. I would like to delete them. Thank You MJ
  14. Also in Su33 I have noticed this exact behavior in the Su33. Sea Dragon campaign, mission "Su33 camp 3.miz". 4 groups of 4 armed speed boats attack the carrier group, and I can't see any:mad: I can see the wakes, but no boats. My wingman can see them and does pretty good. MJ
  15. I seem to remember a list of all weapons used in game sorted by Red and Blue. Can someone point me in the right direction? I find that the encyclopedia is not complete. I sometime get my missiles mixed up when I am loading out:music_whistling: MJ
  16. Go to the mission editor and add the door gunners.
  17. If it's the PSU, wouldn't I hear it all the time, not just in DCS? Mj
  18. :( If that's the case I'll dig up my spare in the garage
  19. No SimShaker, and not machinery. It is the same hum whether in the air or on the ground, paused or flying, after start of mission until I hit exit. I'll try the audio sliders, but I don't think it is mission generated. MJ
  20. Since the latest update (2-10-17) I have a buzz/ hum in my headset that wasn't there before. Everything is good in the menus, but when you choose "start" a mission the buzz starts and continues until you hit escape to end mission. I tried instant action and several missions. Anyone else hearing a hum or buzz? MJ
  21. Thanks for the quick response. When set ingame, do you set the control panel to application controlled, or is this not needed. I guess what I am asking is does the control panel override what is set in game? MJ
  22. I am a little confused with where to set my settings. When available in game, is it best to set them there with Nvidia CP set for application controlled or set them in Nvidia CP? A search turned up a lot of posts on this, but most were years old. MJ
  23. That was it! It was a sound management program call Nahimic(?) Deleted this and no more weirdness:thumbup: Why would this not show in Task Manager? Anyway, Now I can get back in the pit and fly:pilotfly: Thanks for all your help MJ
  24. According to CCleaner I have nothing running at startup. MJ
  25. Thanks BIGNEWY, That got me in the game. I still have the strange symbol on the right of the screen. Any ideas about this.
