I am thinking about restarting the Georgia Oil War campaign (Su25T) and noticed the briefing is in Spanish(?). I remember it being in English when I last played this campaign many updates ago. After looking through all of the included campaigns I see that Fortress Mozdok (Su27) is also not in English. Any way to get the English briefings back? MJ After starting the campaign I see the mission briefings are in English, only the main story description is not. How do I delete this post?

As I said in post #5, a new card is in the near future. The monitor is a must have. If the 970 will buy me some time, I can lower the settings. I would like this monitor to last a few years and don't want to replace it for a good while.

Before I bite the bullet for this: ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q 27" 2560x1440 IPS 165Hz 4ms G-SYNC , I have a couple more questions. Does DCS allow you to play in a diff resolution than native? I have read lots of problems can crop up, but does this apply to the same 16:9 ratio? (Previous Predator was 1920x1080) How is the target spotting in the higher resolution? I know the forums are full of similar topics, but the search can get a little cumbersome.

I forgot to add, this will be a 27in. monitor. A new GPU is an upgrade in the near future depending on the prices.

My fairly new Predator took a hit that made it unusable and am looking at another to replace it. I would like to go with the 2560x1440, but am concerned about the size of text in radio messages and wingman commands etc. At 1920x1080 I can read them comfortably, but I can see how much smaller and I might have trouble. How much smaller will it be? Any examples? MJ

I would like to know if vehicle targets viewed with the Shkval are more visible against the background in 2.5 than in 1.5.8. I am still playing 1.5.8 and can not see targets even when I know where they are as in the stock practice missions. I find myself franticly slewing around and can't tell a vehicle from the ground. There was some discussion about this a long time ago (1.5.6?). The color Shkval mod helped a bit. Can someone post a screen of the Shkval in 2.5? Thanks MJ

This mod was released in 2016, but no longer works in 1.5.8. I was just wondering if there was an updated version, or should I just delete it? MJ

Thank you for the response I have checked the license number at the DCS profile page and it shows as active. It shows a bind date 05/2014. I launch the game and it is not listed in the module manager. It is also not in my DCS World/Mods/aircraft folder. I just ran a repair yesterday after an upgrade to 1.5.8 from 1.5.6 . Thanks again

A google search shows jsavionics has something to do with the NS-430 which is an add-on module. I don't have the NS-430, but jsavionics is still listed in the module manager as being installed. Why? Anyone have an idea on how to get my A-10C back? MJ

I am trying to get my house in order before the 2.5 stable release. I was checking my modules to see what I have installed and noticed this as being an installed module. I have just updated to 1.5.8 from 1.5.6 and it may be something added? Also my A-10C is not listed in the manager but DCS World recognizes the "key number". What to do about this? Point me in the right direction please. MJ

Sorry if this has been asked before, but will the update from 1.5.8 stable to 2.5 stable be significantly smaller if I uninstall the modules that are now installed. (How many gbz per module?). I plan on treating 2.5 as a whole new game and will start just like I did years ago with the trusty Su-25T:joystick: I just spent 15 hrs updating from 1.5.6 to 1.5.8 with 5 modules installed so I'm just asking:thumbup:

What version of DCS are you running? I'm still with 1.5.6 and I have no DCS options for any type of headtracking.(except TracIR external views on,off.) They must have added them in more recent versions.

What protocol are you using for Trackhat? I am using "freetrack 2.0 Enhanced" for DCS. MJ

I have just updated to Win10 from 7 and am learning my way around it after some help from my son. I just noticed that I get no sound from my new Acer Predator Z271 monitor. It was fine with Win7. The monitor is not listed in playback devices as it was in Win7. Do I need a driver or is there a setting I'm missing? I have waded thru Google with no usable results. The monitor is connected to Display Port. I will be grateful for any :helpsmilie: MJ
