I guess they don't see how a US JTAC would fit a Russian attack helicopter. However for gameplay in multiplayer where we play unthinkable A10C/NATO-owned Ka-50 co-op scenario's it is quite good. It would be nice if they added another form of communication with ground troops for Russian CAS.

ED won't fix it no matter how many times you report this bug. ED fixes loads of bugs but they systematically refuse to fix some minor bugs like this one.

Composite rotor blades may be 20% lighter but how does that possibly account for this huge difference (3ft hop vs hover and turn)? I don't believe this 3ft hop is what is supposed to happen.

In addition to that a real pilot told me that you miss a very important sense of movement when you're focused on a (relatively small) screen.

IIRC the beacon must be on when starting the APU/engines. Therefore you need ground power as the beacon does indeed not work on the battery. (Whether that is right or wrong I don't know)

I got it working perfectly while I was testing a new JTAC mod for the Huey.

Im using a HD5670 (passive) 1GB. But I have accepted long load times and lag :). It didn't change anything compared to no DTAC trees for me.

I bought the Mi-8 KNOWING that this wouldn't happen. Based on the logic that BST wouldn't do what they did with the Huey again. Based on the fact that beta (or recently released) products are generally not subject to sales. That said, I'm going to pull back from this discussion because I know it's going to be endless. I won't get or ask my money back anyway.

Have you bought a video card during the beta development phase? Sales are for non-beta products. Period. Ah, finally! The 'so you think that you know everything better' argument. Those who pre-ordered it have lost a great deal of confidence in BST. Isn't that part of their reputation? Agreed: as you say this will attract customers. But isn't there a way to do this without backstabbing your loyal day-one customers? Also note that one question mark is enough.

Yea thanks. Those that bought it will think twice next time. Glad that there is someone [who did not buy the Mi-8 on release] here who does not accuse everyone of 'whining'.

Do take a little more effort to understand our anger. Not everyone is able to easily afford two $50 dollar modules. But you want those modules so badly that you decide to buy them anyway and try to save some money elsewhere. You may call that whining, but that is a word that is too easily thrown at critically-minded people on this forum. This is perfectly understandable frustration. Besides I am quite surprised that BST and/or ED agreed on putting the Mi-8 on sale. It does not take a genius to be able to see how BST's reputation would suffer from a sale two weeks after its release. Did they miss the what everyone so glady calls 'whining' after the Huey sale?

Actually, I purchased the Mi-8 at full price because I was confident that BST learned from last time. I don't have words for this. ...Well actually I do but I don't want to get banned from this forum.

I'm just laughing, just laughing. From disbelief that is. How can a company remain so ignorant after the negative feedback on that Huey sale. Do they even know that there is a community here? I don't think they do! Now the Huey sale was like a month - 2 months after the BETA PRE-ORDER release(sale on pre-order items, it doesn't make sense in the first place). BUT THEY HAVE RAISED THE BAR EVEN MORE! AWESOME! Now I have to stop writing before I start shouting out a very common sexually tinted word followed by a pronoun.

^Add DTAC trees to that and it looks even better! I really have an awesome texture set now! + your cloud mod makes the perfect environment mod.
