  1. Or Lctrl + Lshift + H.
  2. Dragon: Huey now has slick variant and working radar altimeter...
  3. I am one of them and can tell you that all grassy stuff and shrubbies are turned off here :). Yet I noticed the improvement.
  4. Wow nice sale! Luckily not the Mi-8. And even if it was on steam I SUPPOSE it would not have been on sale or BST would have made themselves very unpopular. But I guess they are not stupid and remember the response when the Huey as a pre-released beta product went on sale. Sorry for having to say this.
  5. I also started working on the textures. But I think I'll just wait for the official English pit. I use the Trebuchet MS font as I found it very similar to what I found in the Mi-17 manual.
  6. Unfortunately DCS doesn't work like that.
  7. When I saw the first pic I thought: easy! But then that station with the magnetic walls :music_whistling::thumbup: Yesterday I flew the Mi-8 backwards into this large generic hangar on Gudauta. Friend has the pics unfortunately.
  8. S5 would be a realistic addition. If you can make it please do so!
  9. Thanks for the info! Shame that there is not going to be an English pit. Going to see if I can mod the textures myself using that Mi-17 manual as a reference... EDIT: EB, do you mean by English-labeled tooltips or an English pit like the Ka-50 has? I assumed the tooltips as you can see above from my reaction but I'm not sure what you mean by English-labeled...
  10. So what do you think?
  11. Terrain mod: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/446445/
  12. EMER mode on the governor switch - EMER governor for short. What's it you didn't get? About the vibes at cruise speed: If only we could get a changelog I could file a normal bug report without loosely basing it on something I think has changed. Come on BST! Patches come with changelogs!
  13. Isn't our Mi-8MTV2 actually an Mi-17 with the tail rotor on port side? Ok the source is wikipedia (Mi-17 tail rotor port side) so I'd better ask you!
  14. Just tried Elbrus Rescue. I don't see any changes in performance at high altitude. I am still able to get there to pick the guys up. Leaving is a different story, but it was like that in the previous version for me. (trying to hop to the ridge full collective and EMER governor, then tumble over the ridge to find out that I still haven't got enough power and crash) Has anyone noticed that the helicopter is shaking violently at cruise speed (as if you're overspeeding). In Elbrus rescue shaking starts at 85kts IAS. Should you get the shaking at cruise speed? Or did I find a bug?
  15. I gained about 4FPS in most situations. HD5670.
  16. I gained some FPS with the HD5670. At least the Mi-8 is enjoyable for me now! In the Huey my FPS is above 25 almost all of the time so I'm really happy!
  17. Going to try right away to see if this changes anything for my old HD5670. We can discuss this here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=112916
  18. Anyone knows how this can be explained? Or is it a bug?
  19. Mmhhh I would like to see the cockpit in English though. That's for some charts and switches that you don't have to use everytime. Indeed, some switches speak for themselves now, but If I want to select my VM source/radio/fire warning group/whatever I would like to see what is what. + It's more like an export Mi-17 with the tail rotor on the port side, which is a good excuse for an English cockpit!
  20. Waiting for word from BST first... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=112709
  21. It would be nice if the AI crew could start-up some systems and flip switches that they are supposed to flip. Not really needed in the Huey because everything is accessible for the captain but would be a nice AI crew feature on the Mi-8.
  22. Above your head there is a radio control panel and there is a RADIO/ICS switch. It is on intercoms by default so you will have to switch it to Radio. Use the rotary knob to select the radio to transmit your voice on (R-863 by default).
  23. I'm actually getting used to quickly centering my pedals after I hit the trimmer...
  24. Really a matter of taste. 1.2.5 Didn't have the scratches as far as I know but I used the dirty windows mod. Now with 1.2.6 BST has added some scratches and I like them...
  25. R-828 is the VHF FM radio for communication with ground units. Same system as on the Ka-50 that I use for my mod (see sig). You are talking about the R-863 radio, which is working properly for me.
