  1. This is still an issue. Dear BST, see post #4 and the discussion that followed. The relation between EGT, Torque and true airspeed is still way off. In post #4 I mentioned that this shouldn't make it to the final version, but it did. That is no problem but please consider this for future patches. Indicated torque at a given airspeed is up to 50% off. (too high) Airspeed at given torque is up to 20% off. (too low) information based on UH-1H manual with changes 1 - 19. Charts for UH-1H with composite blades. I've taken into account things such as OAT, correction factor for indicated to calibrated torque, weight, configuration, altitude and engine/rotor RPM.
  2. See my sig. JTAC mod also adds AWACS.
  3. Nice video. I hope this is going to make ED some money, they deserve it.
  4. From the manual: Laser rangefinder operation mode for one flight, series: 5 Each serie consists of 16 cycles of 10 seconds with 5 sec interval between the cycles. I recommend reading chapter 13 'Service limits and systems'.
  5. I was officially 'killed' according to DCS. I also dissappeared from the track in Tacview after this happened. Yet I landed and walked away from it! That was the hardest fight to keep this thing flying ever. Full rudder, steering with throttle, stick fully forward and trying to keep her level with ailerons.
  6. Let me explain how I make a manoeuvre: 1 - Engage and hold down trimmer 2 - Fly the manoeuvre with the trimmer held down (You will get used to this, make sure it is the easiest to hold button on your stick) 3 - Stabilize her after the manoeuvre 4 - Release the trimmer while you center the stick. Timing and experience is crucial here to avoid bouncing. You can imagine that if you release the trimmer, there is a new 'center' position of the stick. If you hold your non-ffb stick in the same position it will be instantly in an off-center position, causing a bounce if you do not center your non-ffb stick.
  7. Known and reported... and unfixable? Is there some way I can mod my HUD and doppler (Apparently suffers the same fate) so that it is indestructable?
  8. T16000 is perfect for helicopters. Just center the stick quickly. With some experience you can release the trimmer in a totally different position than before engaging trim without bouncing. FFB sticks will remain in their current position when you let go of the trim.
  9. Well appparently your wish didn't come true. This is still an issue, BST.
  10. Try flight director mode. It's better than AP off. You will have some more stability but still full control. I used to fly like that, but now I just hold down the trimmer if I'm manoeuvring. Being able to 'lock' the helicopter in the assigned attitude is really usefull.
  11. 2.3.6.47, 2.16Mb here after today's small updater update.
  12. Try a DCS repair? Go start menu > all programs > Eagle Dynamics > Repair DCS World. Make sure you remove any mods before you do so. You can install them again after repair.
  13. Yep. Removed good old Lock On and flew the F-15 on 51st with a friend.
  14. The auto-update went very smooth compared to other large updates. Speed was ok all the time
  15. In the meanwhile you can go authentic by using paper forms to log your flights!
  16. Just let it run and after a minute or two the updated auto-updater will ask you to install the correct version 1.2.7.
  17. I can just remove lockon after the update to 1.2.7 is installed? Or should I remove lockon after the update and run a repair or redownload FC3?
  18. Wow, indeed. I'm going to wait with auto-updating my 1.2.6 installation to 1.2.6.99999.3 to see what this is about
  19. Auto-updater for DCSW V1.2.6 is not working yet.
  20. I see they are on the website now. I assume the update will soon be recognized by the DCSW 1.2.6 auto-updater and not only by the open beta version.
  21. DCSW and all installed modules will be updated if you use the auto-updater. I have all modules installed, so all will indicate V1.2.7 (beta for the Mi-8 ) after the update.
  22. I assume they are going to make this available for 1.2.6 users? Or they should have called it 1.2.7u3 open beta and not final release.
  23. Aren't there two threads already about this? And auto-update still not working here...
  24. The left wing external fuel tanks feed the rear tank. The right wing external fuel tanks feed the forward tank. There is a floating valve between the external fuel tanks and the internal fuel tanks they feed. So, if the fuel level in the main tank is only slightly lowered, fuel from the external fuel tanks will be able to seep into the main fuel tanks. This continues until the external fuel tanks are empty. At this point you will notice a decline in the fuel level as the main fuel tanks are no longer replenished. For more info see page 466-468 in the flight manual.
  25. Which country is that you are talking about? Croatia? Romania? Surely they've invested in an upgrade program of some sort! Lancer maybe?
