Yeah it was behaving quite strangely, it's my oldest/cheapest NVME drive so I guess it's to be expected lol. Hopefully my HOTAS will turn up today and I can have a proper fly/test :), thanks for your help.

Well I think the drive I had it installed on was screwed. Things got worse, couldn't even run DCS MT. So I wiped that drive, deleted all the other DCS entries in user/saved games and reinstalled on my main drive. Seems to be working ok :). Looks like I'll remove and bin that old SSD and get a new one as I've only got 80Gb spare now and have only installed the F16.

What mods? It's a clean install, all I installed mod wise was the F16? I'll look at the page file.

I've just started back into DCS, 100% clean install and just testing the F16 in VR. I can get into game, load up just a cold and dark quick start. Get to the briefing screen in game and it crashes every time. Log attached if anyone can deciper it? I had been running my headset in Assetto Corsa for many hours so I know it works with the Oasis driver. dcs.log

All this 8k talk but who has the hardware to run it? A 1080ti will be ok with turned down settings, maybe. VR doesn’t support SLI so that’s out. Next year when Volta is released? Who knows. Can you slew the seeker head? The Mav has to be SOI in order to use it. The IRMV in the hud will have a box round it when it’s SOI. Slew it to your target and let it ground stabilise. Then TMS down (as opposed to aft) and rifle. I think lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well finally figured out Mavs. Main thing I was not doing was setting the Mav as SOI. So I couldn’t slew it. Now to figure out the DMT, Navigation, VTOL landings and radios. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has anyone got a tutorial for how to lock targets for Mavs? I’m lost, watched videos and read guides but still clueless. I have a Warthog also if anyone can assist I’d be really grateful. I somehow managed to lock and fire one, but then I couldn’t recentre the Mav. Or slew anything, or [emoji35]. The A-10 is so simple compared to this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
