As it is said above. It is bug and it is already reported. There is nothing you can do about it now. Let them fix it and practice low level flying :pilotfly:

[RESOLVED] Cruise performance not realistic
Mobius_cz replied to TurboHog's topic in Flight Dynamics
With three external fuel tanks a was able to reach 13 000 m in 13 minutes. I activated afterburner in 6000 m and after reaching 13 000 m i still had 400l in external tanks. Well it is really not efficient but possible even from the ground. -
Ok it happened to me more than one. Due to me unknown reason SAU recovery button on the stick can't be pushed by a mouse click but keybord command works ok even in this situation. Any more cases?

It is not my video and i don't know if these infos are right but it was really helpfull for me :)

Same here, even after i run DCS repair

Hey guys! I need some tips like ideal cruise altitude, cruising speed, ideal RPM settings. If am right this turbo jet engine is similar to the engines on SU-25 so it is not as fuel efficient as turbofan engines. I have no problems to fly this thing but still i am burning too much fuel so any advices are welcome

Hey guys! I was armed with gun pods, after some attack runs i landed to rearm. New loadout was with ECM pod and i couldn't click on it to make it work. So i jumped in a new plane and take ECM pod right away and it worked. Here is my track, it is MP game BTW http://www.filefactory.com/file/c71700hqh7r/client-20140918-181833.trk
-
I am trying to click it. Even in this track you can see that after take-off you can not click it. But disable button works ok
-
Sometimes i can't turn on SAU recovery, simply i can't click on the button. Here is my track from Virtual Aerobatics server. My PC performance in this module is not so great so pls be patient and if you notice what is wrong with my setting pls tell me. :helpsmilie: BTW oxygen supply ran out after about 20 minutes  (someone already report this so this is not BUG report) Track is too big so i had to upload it http://www.filefactory.com/file/1t0t756ngn0h/client-20140918-153659.trk

This is really incredible feature i love it!!! Everyone find it in the option it is worth your time
-
Yep i tried it just in Mission Editor. You right Tango something is not as it should be in ME
-
I can not load up 2x490l + 1x800 l drop tanks. When i try it it will show only centerline fuel tank. I tried to find something in the manual but nothing so far. Is it bug or it is simply not possible due to someting?

Same here, original cockpit with english labels like in MI-8 will be superb :)

Ka-50 vs Mi-8 engine power performance question
Mobius_cz replied to Mobius_cz's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I can see that it is much more complicated than i thought it can be. I did not know the maximum take-off weight is 10 800 kg because maximum weight in game is displayed 11 900 kg. That makes sence when it is overloaded that it feels underpowered. In matter of fact everytime i fly combat mission with my standard load of 12 AT-9 and S-8 rocket pods it is over 11 000 kg with full fuel tanks. -
Ka-50 vs Mi-8 engine power performance question
Mobius_cz replied to Mobius_cz's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Are you serious? I am glad we have an expert like you here, your post is such helpfull. I am trying to understand something here lol i am not aviation expert but even me i really understand difference between these rotor systems. The point is: In my oponion Ka-50 in hower mode feels less powerfull than Mi-8 under the same conditions. Is it due to simulation? (not enough data or maybe it is not possible to simulated as detailed as it should be) or it is the same in real life? if yes i WANT to know why. "Is dual rotor system more suitable for higher speed flight than howering?" This is what is it all about. :pilotfly: -
This is just perfection!!
-
Hey guys! I haven't played Ka-50 for a long time but i managed to get back to it. I was fyling Mi-8 a lot so i know it performance quite well. After some hours i still just feel Ka-50 is lack some power against Mi-8 mainly in howering. I tested some high altitude takeoff with Ka-50 and Mi-8. The hight was about 2500 m and takeoff weight for Ka-50 was 11 600 kg and 11 500 kg for Mi-8. I had almost no problem with Mi-8 but it was really hard to keep Ka-50 flying. Ka-50 has TV3-117VMA engines which are rated at 2200HP each and Mi-8 uses TV3-117VM engines rated at 2000HP. Does anyone have the same feeling or it is just my oponion? Also in an document about Ka-50 i read that power loss in gearbox is lower than in convencial type rotor system.

Hey guys! I have some questions and i am not sure if i am right about this. So Mig-21 BIS is the last production version and Mig- 21 BISON is just an upgrade program? What is the most advanced training version of Mig 21? Is it Mig 21 UM aka Mongol B by NATO?

The All Things Combined Past Release Date Discussions
Mobius_cz replied to statrekmike's topic in MiG-21Bis
Release date question (not just stupid when) I am not asking for release date like many others. I want to ask you LN, do you know exact realease date? (simply YES or NO, nothing else) and the final release of the product is on you (LN) or ED? Thank you for you answers! For others pls don't spam. -
I was looking which engine MIG-21 bis used and what is it capable off. I found one interesting feature " the second afterburner". R-25-300 engine is capable tu use this when flight speed is greater than Mach 1 a altitude is under 4 km, thrust is equal to 97,1 kN (normal afterburner thrust is about 69,6 kN). Really nice boost, but maximum time for this set up is 3 minutes. Engines RPM are 106% (quite a lot) Is this implemented in the game? :)
-
That is quite interesting but when i look at these last pictures everyone will noticed that it doesn't look the same at all, why?
-
Well i am not sure but keep in mind it has a really long nose :smilewink:
-
Sorry for quoting so big pictures but i was thinking that when you are in flight and rudder is a bit off it means the ground trim for cruise RPM. Yo-Yo said that rudder is currently set for cruising to 2200 - 2400 RPM. Because there is no rudder trim, then in WWII ground crew changed the trim of the rudder by the tables they had for specfing crusing speeds. This is just my oponion so it may be completely off.
-
There is no other choice. You can alway try press / and F8 (ground crew) and press refuel and rearm but it is the same as pres alt + whatever :D . On this Dora you can mount 300l drop tank, 500 kg bomb and 4x50 kg bombs. Probalby it depends on the server you are playing because in Mission Editor you always can change bomb load to 4x50 kg bomb. I don't know if it helps you.

Su-33 / IL-78 Refuelling - that's hard!
Mobius_cz replied to Ian Boys's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
In Su-33 after you extend the refueling probe there is noticeable change in control sensitivity so refueling SU-33 with SFM is not that hard. Also higher speed of the tanker helps you a lot, basic 500 km/h is not that ideal for this fighter imho. Still good job :-) not everyone is capable to refuel a plane in DCS
