Yeah that makes sense, i have a fair few but not all. All but about 5-6 aircraft, got everything else. I may have to go for a complete uninstall and then re-install i think in order to try and fix it? Its very frustrating when i know most people are starting up in less than a minute with system specs less than mine! Thanks for all the help so far though guys, keep it coming as at 166GB for my full DCS install its going to take about 3 days to re-download everything!!! Yikes!!

So, have now tried with a 32GB swap file on Drive I: but start up time is still 04:15 minutes. So swap file adjustments didn't fix it unfortunately?

Ok so it turns out i didn't actually have a Swap File activated on my I: drive so i just set it from Off to System Managed and re-booted but post-reboot my start up was way worse at 05:53 mins!!

Oh yeah, forgot to say I successfully ran Cleanup and Repair so BIG thanks to @MurderOne for that top tip!!

Ok, so with Firewall/Antivirus switched off it still takes between 03:33 and 03:55 mins on last 2 start ups? Have added FW/AV exceptions for Run.exe and DCS.exe but that still doesn't seem to speed things up at all? Strange?

Yeah i think i will have to do some digging here? I moved DCS from another SSD to the new one about a month or so ago but tbh it wasn't that much better on the original drive? Also, i cannot get Cleanup or Repair to run via any of the methods mentioned in the Product support pages on the main ED website? Thanks again.

I'm running latest Open Beta and am experiencing load times from Desktop to Main program screen of between 5 to 10 minutes? Just timed it at 09:34 mins? No other PC program i own has an opening time of even a third of this including P3D v4.4 with FTX Global and other addons! I can literally double-click the Desktop Icon, go make a coffee and a snack, drink coffee, eat snack before the program is ready to use! Any particular reason for this? Running Windows 10 Pro latest update (April) System specs below. Thanks.

Have just tried about a dozen times to download the PG map from within the Module Manager but the installer either says it can't connect to the servers or it times out after about 5 seconds and then gives a timeout error? I understand that the servers may be under a fairly heavy load due to a lot of people downloading the new terrain module but just want to ensure its nothing going wrong at my end? Updated to latest version of Open Beta 2.5.2 earlier this morning. Have disabled my Firewall (Zone Alarm Pro) but that didn't solve the issue. I have a 30 Mbps broadband connection that when tested just a second ago was giving me a solid 26 Mbps download speed. All other internet related apps and functions are working normally. Will keep trying but would appreciate feedback on whether anyone else is experiencing this or if there is an alternative download method etc. Or any potential causes and solutions obviously? Nope, i tried that and it does nothing to bring the HUD back on? Thanks for the response though. This seems more like some sort of bug?

Decided to re-visit some FC3 aircraft in 2.5.0 today and have discovered that with F-15C, Mig-29 all variants and SU-27 the HUD shows when the Flight phase of the mission loads but as soon as i click Fly the HUD disappears and i can't find a way to get it back again? See images below. HUD is showing normally on non-FC3 aircraft. Anyone else seeing this or know how to fix it? Thanks.

All i can say is yesterday i fitted a Crucial MX500 500GB SSD to my system along with an extra 8GB of RAM. All i did based on advice from another thread on this forum was copy and paste my entire Eagle Dynamics>DCS World Open Beta 2.5 folder to the SSD and changed the drive letter in the desktop shortcut from D: to E: and DCS is working 100% fine (and mighty better i might add!). I even ran the latest update from the bin folder after moving and it updated and is still running fine on all maps, modules and all my personal settings have been copied and recognised as well. That is all!

Been flying the A-10C Instant Action missions to test out graphics setting for 2.5. in Caucasus Map. When using AGM-65D's to take out the air defenses close to the bridge targets, the Mav's are destroying the bridge as well as the Shilka/SA-9 etc even when those vehicles are a couple of hundred metres away from the bridge structure? Never saw this in previous versions and was fairly sure it took at least one or more 1000 lb or larger GBU/JDAM or GP bomb to drop a large two lane road/rail bridge? That type of Mav has a 57 kg (126 lb) shaped-charge warhead? (Wikipedia) Anyone else seeing this? I've had it happen in 3 separate Instant Action missions involving bridge targets. I read on here a day or so ago about mention of the blast and fragmentation effects of some ordnance being increased in 2.5? Hope this helps?

Hey FlyingPhotog, Thanks so much for that tip! 4 Mav's 4 hits!! Using the 1 per pass tactic and racetrack pattern in between acquisition and launches. Still wondering how all those guys on You Tube are getting 3-4 hits on a single pass though if this issue is partly down to Maverick launch parameters/constraints etc? Thanks v much though!!
