Wow this is way more information than should be expected. There is no reason that any 3rd party group should have to explain anything of this nature to a forum, but it certainly is appreciated. I hope that ED can find a Russian counterpart that will continue to develop Russian aircraft or allow ED to continue with that area to keep blue and Red balanced.

So why does it work so great with ARMA? Dev-Heaven is the one spot the entire community goes for bug fixes for specific products? They must be doing something right and that community is alot bigger.

Open Source is probably a misguided term. I meant opening to outside development. And the reason why they complain is because they have no feedback on what is being done. A bug Tracker will eliminate this as they will have a place to see the progress of their requests. 8 years of complaining will be a thing of the past is my point.

I beg to disagree on the negative comments of bugtracking. I believe a tracker would actually calm people down and temper the expectation. People will not whine about schedules and priorities as they will be able to see them. Dev-Heaven for arma works extremely well and helps coelate the list of problems with the game. Even Bohemia uses it because now they have a single platform with which to see what is wrong with their product. In ED you have to pan through multiple forums to see what the issues are. How many times has the same issue been restated over and over again. This would all go away. The moderators would not have to waste all the time they do now answering the same questions 500 times. It seems that ED is making the DCS world product line more of an open source style game in that it wants to build a community of developers that will expand this product. A single tracking platform will greatly enhance this process and it will help these third parties with making their products better by tracking the observations and issues the community (the largest free beta testing resource there is) has uncovered. You really should consider one of these tracking applications. If you want the communities help in making products better (this is a valid assumption because ED releases beta products) then we need a tool to help us get organized as well.

Alpha you hit it on the head. Looking for the way the russian army would do a mission briefing. do they have something similar to the US operations order where the details of the mission are spelled out.

I dont bellieve they have the proper aiming mechanism in this beta. Look for it in the next patch possibly.

yep speed cali and I confirmed the issue. If anyone no matter ground or air unit leaves the game the Arty is hosed and unusable. They need to hotfix this one. Also would be nice to be able to allocate the number of rounds they fire per mission instead of unloading everything they have. -

Speed we will double check this because it seems to react incorrectly for JIP players who are just entering. Not just when client leaves. -

Speed I got this whole thing working. WOW. What Ive done is put the moving zone options on each subordinating unit. If the HQ unit goes further than 5000 m away that unit comes to a halt until the HQ comes back in the zone. Simulates the requirement to be in radio comms. I believe the PRC-119 has an effective range of approx 5 miles or so. Now it makes chain of command integrity vital for the player to win the mission. If his units go on a flyer they will quickly come to a stop. Great job on the SLMOD. The real beauty of this is its at the group level not the unit level which is much less tedious to put together.

Sorry my bad on the explanation. I have 10 groups and if any one of the groups sustains 70% casualties, that group will come to a halt. Can that be done without making individual triggers. Also on the moving in zone. Example Group 1 controls 4 other groups. If any 1 of those 4 groups leave the zone, that group only halts until it comes back. Do I have to make 4 separate move functions, 1 for each group linked to the same master group?

yes I figured it out. I got the continuous check going to turn on and off the flag. It works like a dream. Now I can check to make sure my companies are in radio contact with their hq plt. If not they come to a halt until hq comms back in range. GREAT job. Now one other question. Do any of your tools do mass change in conditions. I want all my goups to come to a halt if they sustain 70% casualties. I have 100 groups and short of putting in 100 triggers is there another way.

ok getting there. So I have two switched conditions in my mission one that check if the flag is 1 on, the other off. If its on then group 1 ai is on, if its off then group 1 ai is off. So I started with the group 1 ai off. The trucks moved in and the flag was flipped on due to being insde the zone. When they left the zone the flag should turn off correct and the ai should stop. That did not work. They kept going.

this will be interesting to see how this plane transitions from hover to forward flight. My brother in law is a marine harrier pilot and he will be interested to see this plane in action as well.

Speed can u do a sample mission for the unit move. Also can the "units" be groups? This would be a huge advantage over the editor version which only does the moving zone by Unit. I have 800 units in my mission but only 100 groups so Id like to do the zones at the group level. (calced this with your unit to txt feature that writes units to a log... awesome :-) )
