I multiplayer (where I tested), when Tacan is turned off the SA-page turns blank. No datalink contacts appear HMD, SA, or Radar-page. Is this right? I can provide a track if need. Should be pretty easy to replicate.

Status update: The Apache MPD:s will launch as a pre-purchase in the second half of May. (We aim for this date.) There will be 290 units available, both a two pack bundle and single units. Price will be around 120-130€ each. There will be a bundle discount. VAT will be added in Europe. Deliveries will start ASAP, probably at least 4-6 weeks after orders are placed. Table mounts will be sold separately. All subscribers to our newsletter will be informed about the release three days in advance. All buyers will have to pay when the order is placed. This is to make sure that we do not get pre-orders that are cancelled. This is a premium product. Nothing is 3D-printed. It will look and feel as good or better than anything from other top brands. Questions? Fire away!

I have also noticed that but I can not give you any precise answer regarding the angles or any distances. However we have moved the USB to the bottom side to keep it away from any Master Caution buttons.

Sure we do!

We are still aiming for about 120€ for each frame. VAT will be added in the EU. It all depends on what prices we can get from manufacturers. Everything is fluctuating right now, but this is our aim.

I will think of it. Maybe we will open up the preorders to our previous customers first. I am not sure if we can limit the sales for each customer. Will look into it. Apache MFD moulds have now been ordered. To us, this is huge

Status report: I know many of you are eagerly awaiting the Apache MPDs from Total Controls. Here is the current situation: Molds have been made for the custom knobs. Production is ongoing. Metal domes for the PCB are done and delivered. (To give us the nice click). Microcontrollers have been secured. We are now waiting for the prototype boards that will arrive this week. If they are ok we will place an order on mold and casting of the frames later this week. Then we will start production of the PCBs. What awaits after that is product photos, assembly and packing. Based on this information I'll let you guess the shipping date... Disclaimer: We have secured Microcontrollers for 300 units and this will be our first batch. First come, first serve.

I do not think that will be possible. Count on using two ports. We hope preorders will go live before end of april.

I give you: the click!

Indeed it is.

While waiting for components for the Apache frames I decided to give another project a little try. Can anyone tell me what this is? The buttons will be backlit of cause.
-
No, but we will inform our subscribers to the newsletter first when we release the pre-order. Be sure to subscribe.

They won't do. The force on the buttons and the size of the frames makes the TM-solution impractical. We will have to make a mount that attaches to the desk.
-
A quick question. We are planning to produce some table mounts for the frames. They will be sold separately. Do you guys think this is something you’ll get along with the frames?
-
I sure can. They are pretty huge, but 1:1 compared to the real thing. Outer measures is 213 mm and frame size is 158x158 mm.

From Europe. Sweden to be more specific.

We are still working on the software. Will keep you updated closer to release

An iPad would be great for screen. Just looking for a way to export the MPD to an iPad. Any developer out there? Send me a DM

Bra där! -
The gates are about 2,5 mm high. It will be easy do distinguish each button via the gates in VR. The lines are printed and not tactile at all.

I use the Total Controls button box for the Abris. Works like a charm!

This is spot on. Just the molds for the buttons and the housing sums up to around 10k USD. Sure, if we sell 5000 the price would go down, but that’s not in reach I recon. I think i.e Virpil has a markup at around 50%. We won’t make that much in this device. We do it because it’s fun and hopefully we make a small profit, but it won’t make us millions. You could compare to the TekCreations frame on their homepage, and I still think we have a better product. The device have 2 potentiometers and a three position switch.

The only place to fit the USB-port is to the right. You can see the cable in the picture. Hope you can find a way to sort it out.
