As long as the 51D is present which actaully means (51 years stuck in a (D)og pen) This is the Jet age F-16 and F18 with the (F/A) acronym in it a multirole Attack Fighter... USAF POWER! Hi Azazel, Exactly, You know this discussion has been discussed in BMS Forums, and still the BMS Devs manage to have several F-16 variants in different Theaters and F-16A and the Janhas D model is on the way also its development. Just check the Community Mods/WIP Thread its awesome! I just hope DCS does the same thing also with an F-18 for carrier ops and some other nice Jets like the JAS 39 Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, Harrier GR9, Typhoon, Mirage 2000C / III, Tornado, SU-35BM, SU-37 Terminator, B2 Spirit, B1B Lancer etc all the good ones but F-16 is a must. Well time will tell. Right! The F-16D is also in development so its not that it cant be done but some just resist. I'm personally encouraging more combat sims to be produced its time, all this new tech we have these days LCD 3D HD Screens etc awesome good time to get back into combat sims. Just cant stand the niggling typical argumentative types knocking down every ounce of hope and creativity thats put out and voiced to actually better the sims to get more outa of them, to many people get lost in the detail. No wonder people say, "The Devil is in the detail"! LoL Its not that the dream cant be achieved just needs confirmation and a "YES WE CAN ATTITUDE"! Hi fella's, If I may, share my personal view and discuss it freely and not meaning to start a flame war. F4 was designed with real air force input found here http://www.combatsim.com/review.php?id=57 as I have explained in above posts which really is a treat and something for DCS to really think about moving forward and not wish the whole thing away just becoming another FSX which I enjoyed for a while and now its wasted space on my HD. Sorry, but thats true for a majority even among real life commercial pilots, the sim was a joke I mean the original release not current work with FSX allot has been fixed and modded with 3rd parties but you would have spent a good $500 or more to get it where it should have been, anyway beside the point. But still something to consider and treat seriously many guys I speak to simply dont bother with FSX or MS Flight but prefer Xplane10 flying 747 and A380's but no combat simulation, anyway thats move on. I read the whole thread again carefully, sure I completely understand and this is not BMS or FF here, but never the less Combat Sims are awesome and not many want to take the F4 path because it is a challenge and is very different from an editor even thou I dont know about coding or am I a Dev but I have read and studied all that there is out there on F4 and the principles that F4 is built upon is awesome and a treasure. What surprises me though Microprose could do it, Free Falcon does it and BMS is doing it, so then why cant DCS do it as a commercial line. Okay I see where this might go and the heated debates and all that, but thats not my intent or what I am trying to do or say, just that it is worth it in the end to do it. Meaning reviving the F4 concept found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falcon_4.0 and developing the F4 concept into DCS is vital for a combat sim and I tell you right away you would be thanked over a million times and those who follow F4 would not shy from purchasing and supporting DCS products even further to support the effort. Hi this thread its gone off topic a bit but its basically an F-16 FM request discussion. If more than one variant can be made which wouldn't be that hard you have the base and calculations for one F-16 FM and adjust minor differences for others. I'm no coder or dev but once you establish a base it should be fairly smooth and easy to have some variants F-16AM, F-16C, F-16i, F-16CD, F-16CJ or another way to put it is a Block 15 then just a Block 50/52 as an example If F4 Devs can accomplish this certainly DCS can make the dream right, seriously these guys do it full-time and a bigger team than F4 teams. This would be the same for other A/C's like F-4, F-14, F-15, F-18..... SU's..... Migs..... and so on Well its just me thinking out loud anyway. I'm still hoping for the best............................:thumbup:

Hi all, I completely understand what this thread is about although the reason for this Forum is an "Aerial Combat Simulator", I would say we are feeling kinda worried that we simply wont get what is quoted just above and with many links to what we are here for that is what needs clearing up. "WE ARE COMBAT SIMMERS HERE PRIMARILY FOR THAT", produce that first we pay fair price then all other fun stuff, is okay with us since DCS is a business and any revenue would be to make profit and sustain itself, just as long as we customers get what we want to buy or else the target audience is missed. The future of DCS is "Aerial Combat Sims", but my strong opinion is develop it from the "F4 Concept of what is a Combat Flight Sim with many A/C's on offer and improve on overall product! My view is post a "5 Year Development Plan and Direction of DCS", so we are all on the same page a short post with vague statements isn't clear enough.
