  1. I found the files here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aegukka The words are different, but the tune sounds very similar in both.
  2. I'm planning to use the North Korean national anthem as part of a soundtrack on a short video. I found a copy on the web but it sounds exactly the same as the one used in S. Korea - but with different words. Does anyone with knowledge of North and South Korea know if both countries use the same tune?
  3. Glad you enjoyed it, and I hope you weren't scared by the bagpipes. Thanks for the link TucksonSonny; I'm off to get myself some DVD players now.
  4. Here are some (mostly) AI landings: The Su-25TM guy did pretty, the others, well take a look. DPS.
  5. Indeed the Lanc and the York had lots of parts in common: wings, engines, etc. I changed the sound files in the model with ones I found on AVSIM. Here's another Lancaster soundalike: I re-used the same sound files. Who needs music when you have the sound of four Rolls-Royce engines running.:)
  6. благодарность
  7. Sounds like a good idea. In fact I'll pinch it off you and make it myself. I'll knock off some AVI files, chuck 'em together in WMM and it should be ready to view on YouTube by tea time (British Summer Time). And you think I'm joking don't you?
  8. Nothing to watch on TV? Here are three little vids to amuse you that haven't had an airing in Screenshots and Movies. The first one illustrates why Lock On owners should buy themselves a decent set of rudder pedals The second one made me wonder if FS9 could beat Lock On hands down and could Lock On drivers cope with all these levers, gauges, etc, on a 1940s (derived from a bomber) aircraft that struggles to go faster than 200 mph at max weight. DPS.
DPS.
  10. Whilst you’ve been amusing yourselves, my lady friend has been teaching me how to fly an Avro York. Here’s the video: Pay attention!! She might ask questions afterwards!! Actually, not a bad landing for a girly. :smilewink: DPS.
  11. Never mind the RF-4C, I'm backing Britain:smilewink: I'll need to get the new AB files from Alphasim.
  12. It would be nice if future versions of Lock On include options for reconnaissance mission. I seem to remember recce flights featured in F4AF. Imagine the thrill of very high-speed flights over, usually, well defended targets. It is a little known fact that the Supermarine Swift (from the same stable as the Spitfire) was one of the finest jets ever deployed by NATO, as this video clearly shows: But perhaps that was more to do with the fact that when the Russians saw it coming they laughed so much their eyes teared up so they couldn’t fire their weapons DPS.
  13. Beta testing BS fair enough. I'd rather be omega testing a Supermarine Swift created by some chaps in New Zealand. Whooooooooosh!!!
  14. Hello Chaps!! What are you doing with yourselves whilst you wait for ED to release BS? I'm dreaming that ED will also include some jolly smashing British stuff: BTW, all those models are freeware too!! Toodle pip!! DPS.
  15. This final mission seems to require you to sacrafice your wingmen (and yourself) to draw off all the SAMs so that enough anti-ship missiles can get through to sink the Kuznetzov. Here are some F-15 campaigns that I built last year. You may find that they are a bit more realistic. http://www.dpsflight.com/CampaignList.htm DPS.
  16. Good find, vadIL. That's one way to arrive home when your base is covered in craters. I tried to set the wind so that some of the Lock On models would get blown away whilst parked, but no luck. I had the FS9 settings up to 140 knots and I could still have set them higher. ggg87, Flap Lid is a person. It's her voice on the Air-to-Air Refuelling tutorial at the same YouTube area.
  17. Yes, Happy Easter hols everyone. Sunny and warm here in Jockland.
  18. Do you ever suffer from the wind? I know I do. Today, I cranked up the crosswind component to 85 ft/sec (that’s about 60 mph) and that was about my limit – and it wasn’t pretty either. AI aircraft gave up/chickened out much earlier. Here’s the results: Or perhaps it’s time to buy a pair of rudder pedals. Anybody recommend a decent pair? DPS.
  19. This Andy MacGeelis/Eagle Dynamics April 1st inspired video short went down well on various forums and a few of my buddies were taken in by it. There is also a WMV file version on the front page of my web site at http://www.dpsflight.com/ for those who want to watch it in glorious Windows Media Player. Movie makers, don't forget: it's important to have a bit of fun now and again. There was quite a bit of freeware used. Here are the credtis: Eagle Dynamics – Lock On Flaming Cliffs Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 R/T - Falcon 4 Allied Force Additional Add-On scenery, bridges, cities, etc – Scotflight Scenery v2.0 Buccaneer, Harrier and RA-5 Vigilante – AlphaSim (freeware) F-8 Crusader and Su-27 with drogue chutes – AlphaSim (payware) A-7 Corsair & Eurofighter Typhoon II – DSB (freeware) Gazelle and AH-64 with AIM-9s – Abacus Helicopter Havoc Boeing E-3 AWACS – CaptainSim Boeing KC-135 Tanker – Mike Stone Sound Effects – SoundDogs.com (not cheap but a great resource) Sheep Images - Woolly Jumpers International Magazine Big thanks to Kumo, Flap Lid and High Lark for doing the texts for the Russian, German and French players.
  20. IFF guaranteed. And Santa Claus will pop up on the night of 24th/25th December.
  21. Remember, it is already 1st April in the Western Pacific. Don't forget your fans in the Fiji Islands or Kurgan.
  22. Well done men. I was wondering who would be first to spot that.
  23. Here’s a sneak preview by Andy MacGeelis: It says here it features: Realistic 3D terrain area stretching from the UK to Germany. Many action-packed missions. Stunning 3D objects. 20 flyable combat aircraft and helicopters Audio environment that includes communication with wingmen, AWACS, tankers, and air traffic control. Hundreds of tanks and other vehicles. 18 airfields 500 bridges 1,700 towns and villages 21 cities 180,000 buildings 1,000,000 trees It also mentions a Dynamic Campaign in the end credits, which sounds great. Although some of the vehicles look as though they have been copied from Lock On. I’ve also posted the video on the front page of my site at http://www.dpsflight.com/ for those who really want to watch it in glorious Windows Media Player. Look out for the link called Flaming Hell at the bottom of the page. DPS.
  24. Видео - ролики о заправке самолета в воздухе. английский http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EplW6yfuLf4 DPS.
  25. This one isn't a lesson, and there are no A-10s, so you can sit back and relax. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EplW6yfuLf4 The music track was specially arranged for the video: (i) What is the name of the song? (ii) What's it got to do with air-to-air refuelling? Enjoy, DPS.
