  1. Your replies make sense. Now I think that the center layout better fits carrier based a/c because of the smooth corrections needed when landing on a carrier :book:
  2. Maybe a stupid question, but what are the advantages of each? Some aircraft have the stick in the center while others have it on right hand side. Where's the catch? :D
  3. Strange. How about reassigning the keystroke in LO so you will be able to program the macro from SST? I reassigned quite a lot of commands in LO so that the profile editor could recognize some of my macros and make them work.
  4. Really amazing bird! How old is it? Because it already looks slightly weathered :)
  5. A little update Don't mind the symbol at the canopy, I was just testing something. I faded the red intakes on the summer camo and the nose isn't red anymore. And here are previews of the winter camo and fictional A4 WIP.
  6. Have you tried making a macro? Make it with a short interval (0.01, 0.05...)
  7. You don't get a light that would signal your drag chute (or is it called drogue chute?) is deployed. The orange light is actually a gear caution light. If it blinks then your gear is stuck. While it is orange then it is getting extended or retracting. That was a mistake in 1.02, when your chute got deployed you would see that light on.
  8. G'Sus, people. Incredible how some of you beleive everything :D When posting the pic didn't you think about how the car didn't get crushed by the 15? And the intake thing. And I doubt that someone would have time to run from a missile that would just roar thru the deck? :megalol: Ok, I agree with EscCtrls' theory.
  9. Sorry for that. I just saw the GIF in your post, not the link :D But -strange-, I checked your post before posting my reply and there was NO link there. And -strange- , now and at the bottom of your post it says that the post was edited :music_whistling: Incredible coincedence :D
  10. The Su-33 also has them.
  11. What exactly do these lights at the nose gear do? [/ulr] They also show AOA like the AOA indicators at the HUD?
  12. Very nice!
  13. Defragment your disc. Delete your sounds folder. It completely removed lag issues for me. Of course, it is strange to fly with no sounds so I got back my sounds. Kill the effects like heat blur, civil traffic, advanced haze (depends on day/night mission), shadow options (active planar is enough). Light and Effects settings don't take too much FPS. Get rid of the canopy scratches, and the canopy reflections if you feel like it. Turn the mirrors off. They eat a LOT of FPS in MP. Set water to lowest level if you're not doing carrier ops (I just love the water around the Kuz :D), otherwise to medium. Tweak the visibility distances I'll post my visibility distance settings once I get back home
  14. I don't know. Maybe it stands for something else in the civil part of aviation :smartass: :D
  15. After every flight, Quantas pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet," which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, then the pilots review the gripe sheets right before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are some of the actual maintenance complaints submitted by the Qantas' pilots (as marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (as marked with an S) by the maintenance engineers. By the way, it is relevant to note that Qantas is the only major airline in the world that has never, ever, had an accident! P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement. S: Almost replaced left inside main tire. P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough. S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft. P: Something loose in the cockpit. S: Something tightened in the cockpit. P: Dead bugs on windshield. S: Live bugs on backorder. P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent. S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground. P: Evidence of a leak on the right main landing gear. S: Evidence removed. P: DME volume unbelievably loud. S: DME volume reset to a more believable level. P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick. S: That's what friction locks are for. P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode. S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode. P: Suspected crack in windshield. S: Suspect you're right. P: The number 3 engine is missing. S: Engine found on right wing after a brief search. P: Aircraft handles funny. (I love this one!) S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious. P: Target radar hums. S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics. P: Mouse in cockpit. S: Cat installed. And the best one saved for last...... P: Noise coming from under the instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer. S: Took hammer away from the midget.
  16. I have a hunch we'll get some cool looking F-18 skins :D
  17. The scheme is from my head, I added red on the nose because I thought it would look cool. Next on the to-do list is a winter camo and something like this and this I think that there are not enough skins for the T-Frog :pilotfly: And I don't even like the plane. Ok, I like the AFM and the hi-poly thing, but not the bird. :D :D :D
  18. Am, it is a new skin :music_whistling:
  19. http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/2112/004seet6ln9.jpg :D
  20. And I thought that those airframes weren't designed to withstand such stress. :pilotfly: Ah well, russians tend to amaze us with their technology every now and then :D
  21. Have you tried this?
  22. That's what dynamic IPs are for. At least here in Croatia :smartass:
