  1. I can absolutely appreciate the love for and high hopes in seeing a P-38 Lightning. I would love to see one, too. I probably would want a Chance Vought F4U Corsair even more so. I don't know if either of these machines will make the list for the, so called, other two planes," but I would love for a dev team to make these rides at some point over the next couple of years time.
  2. Sorry about the age gate! I think I shut it off, now! My bad.
  3. This isn't a perfect landing or anything. I just want new players to see that when you bring the Mustang down nice and easy, she is very forgiving. I don't achieve a perfect three point landing at first, but when I flare I put her down so gently that she doesn't bounce around on me, she settles down, nicely. Once you get used to landing gently, you can bring the TF-51D or P-51D in with one partially collapsed landing gear and land safely. I have had to do that several times, thanks to some of my fellow players kindly shooting my plane to shreds. =) MJ
  4. Well, thank you and the rest of the DoW crew for putting on a great show, Dooom. I hope I can make it next Sunday. I had a whole lot of fun winging up with Wuff. The DoW server is really fantastic. One of the great things about your server is that a lot of players will actually get on TS, so you can actually find persons to wing up with. Considering that I want to stick with the Mustang and upcoming Kittyhawk, I really can't get by lone wolfing it, what with the capabilities of the Axis rides. But I don't have to worry about lone wolfing it and my relative deficiencies aren't that big of an issue, so long as there are awesome guys and gals, like Wuff or yourself, ready to team up with new DoW players and show us the ropes. MJ
  5. On the DoW server, I team up with Wuffman and sim-fly on his wing, Sunday, August 2nd, 2015. In the video, Wuffman has a conversation with someone on comms. I would like to credit this player, but I did not catch his name. I maintain radio silence throughout this video, which is why you don't get to hear a charming NY accent. Everyone knows coffee is pronounced cah-awe-fee, right? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x305h9n
  6. This is wonderful news, Frostie! :yay: Thank you for hosting the 1950's era stuff! MJ
  7. VH Rock, Your P-51 Mustang skins are amazing. It would be great if you would make some F-51 Mustang skins from the Korean War era. Plus, there is one fictional skin that I would like you to consider making for the new P-40 that is currently in the works. This skin, inspired by the plane flown by Sky Captain, from Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. The Sky Captain P-40 is a different model, but close enough, I think:  MJ
  8. This weekend, I noticed that the 51st Server introduced new missions, featuring aircraft from the 1970's and 1980's. Will the 51st return to featuring 1950's matchups? My favorite online match is taking up the F-51 Mustang, up against the Mig-15, but I also have a fondness for the Sabre and the Fagot, as well. I really loved that the 51st featured the 1950's matchups, as WW2 and the 1970's to 1980's era match ups are covered on other servers. I hope that the 51st will reintroduce the 1950's era next weekend and maybe add the B-29 mod, for escort or target. MJ
  9. Two Sabre sim pilots save my F-51 Mustang from a determined Mig-15 sim pilot, on Saturday morning, July 25th, 2015. https://youtu.be/a5A8d2iXWbY
  10. On Sunday, July 19th, 2015, I tested out a sound mod collection for my adorable pixel F-51 Mustang sim plane. I performed some acrobatics, while I listened to the mods. I thought that Diveplane's sound mods soulded really cool, but I did not know if i had my sliders set correctly in the DCS World sound options. (Everything set for 100%) I also used the Skulleader Cockpit V1.7 mod for the P-51 Mustang, another awesome mod. I also used the great looking "Factory Fresh" P-51 Mustang skin. Note: Before performing low level acrobatics with the Mustang, first make sure that there is no fuel in the rear fuel tank or else the Mustang is likely to abruptly get out from under you and crash into the ground. MJ The video:
  11. I would go with something from Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix, of Two Steps from Hell fame. An example of something recent from Two Steps from Hell: ${1}
  12. Wonderful! Cheesy in all the right places.:megalol: I loved the video!
  13. This video is a recording of a dogfight I had with a guy on a Korean War Server. The guy seemed to want to be very chivalrous with me. He fired off flares and actually turned on his lights. I think he did this, so I would not lose sight of his machine. He was very polite. At the end of the dogfight we exchanged salutes and all, very old school. I am from a WW1 flight sim background, so I like old school. =) Since the Fagot is faster than the Mustang, my approach was to find ways to close the distance by way of selecting a relatively shorter path of travel, to get to wherever I thought the Fagot would be at a future point in time. I tried to get the Fagot to increase it's path of travel, by firing at the Fagot, even when I was not even able to hit it. I wanted the Fagot to try to evade in ways that would let the Mustang close the distance. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2yieew_my-f-51d-mustang-downs-a-gent-sim-flying-a-mig-15bis-fagot_videogames
  14. WOW! All of these screenshots are utterly fantastic! Thanks for sharing this with the DCS community! :)
  15. http://games.dailymotion.com/video/x2w7xnb?utm_source=dailymotion&utm_medium=autopromo&utm_campaign=fromplayertogames Just a silly short video of my enjoying the heck out of the DCS Mig-15bis Fagot on the Quax's Korean War Era multiplayer server. While I love dogfights and all, I really enjoy the moments before, after, and between the dogfights, the start ups, the take offs, the climb outs, cruising among the clouds, landings, and yes, buzzing the heck out of a pixel city. :smilewink:
  16. Yet another great video, Chimango! MJ
  17. Thank you, very much so, Chimango! :) I am a big fan of your videos. You are a tremendous shot! You remind me of Josh Echo. He is a crack shot and a damn good stick, like you. I wish I had your shooting skills. Right now, there is a 50/ 50 chance of my missing a Sabre in a gentle thirty degree banked turn! :megalol: I will have to study your videos and learn how to set up shots, correctly. You don't even uncage your gun sight, many times. I like how you do that and I would like to learn to do that, too. I have a long way to go with the Mig-15, but I am having a whole lot of fun. MJ
  18. Note: I might not count as a Sabre killer yet, guys. I did not confirm whether or not my Sabre kill was AI or human controlled. I will confirm, next time. https://youtu.be/O6a93TRpKp4 On the other side, I can confirm that I was shot down by a Mig pilot. I call the pilots bullies in the video, but I am only joking. it was a fair and good fight. The two gents I was against are very classy fellows and I admire their handling of their machines, very much so: http://dai.ly/x2vu1wi  MJ
  19. That is one great comic strip. I am all smiles. Thank you for sharing this! :)
  20. I don't have a problem contacting the tower when I start up and take off. I did notice that I can't contact the tower when I want to get permission to land.
  21. Not too long ago, I was reading a copy of the Army Times and I can across an article, written by Stephen Losey, on the A-10 Warthog. The big take away from the article, the A-10 Warthog is... Here is a digital copy of the article: http://www.armytimes.com/story/military/2015/03/23/chuck-norris-weighs-in-on-a-10-debate/25217877/  MJ
  22. In an ideal World I would get everything and maybe I will, over a few years time. I am very much looking forward to the F-14 Tomcat. I will definitely buy the Tomcat in 2016. In 2016, I may also purchase one or more of the following: The Vampire, Meteor, Mirage 2000, Dassault Mirage F1. For 2015, I may purchase a map, but I am not really anticipating purchasing any additional planes. Throughout 2015, I am going to be learning or using the Mig-21bis, A-10c, F-86F, and Mig-15bis. MJ
  23. If and when a F4 Phantom is made, I think it ought to be an Islamic Republic of Iran Phantom. I presume that we will eventually get a map covering Iraq map and we are definitely getting a Strait of Hormuz map, so we can have historically based Persian planes defending Iranian shipping from Iraqi air assets type missions, for sure. The Mig-21bis was not in the US Vietnam War, but I am pretty sure that the Mig-21bis was in service in Iraq during the Iran Iraq War. LNS is already making the F14 Tomcat, so I figure that making a Phantom (and Mig-23 rival) from the Iran Iraq Iraq War time frame might make more sense. MJ
  24. Yeah, the F-14 will be a childhood dream come true. Given the quality of the LNS Mig21bis and my childhood fascination with the Tomcat, the LNS F-14 Tomcat will be my go to DCS 4th generation fighter, without a doubt. MJ
