  1. The next flying legend I would like to sim fly is the F-86F Saber. MJ P.S. I think that a third party is runmored to be working on the Axis planes, to use against the P51D.
  2. Any plans for making the North American F86 Saber? I am moving this to the general discussion area! :thumbup:MJ Edit: Where is the DCS general discussion area? There seems to only be one for Lock On?
  3. You may use a, "Cheat," to check your ammo. I believe that you can hit, LALT+ ' to check your ammo. MJ P.S. In multiplayer, I check my ammo by pulling the trigger, if stuff comes out, I am good, if stuff does not come out, I get to practice defensive dogfighting, while I try to weasel my way back to base.
  4. I had the mixture set for auto rich, instead of run, so at around angels 15 my bird would tell me to climb the rest of the way myself. My bad! :pilotfly: MJ
  5. DCS P51D My First Recorded Multiplayer Air Kill(P51 VS P51) DCS P51D My First Recorded Multiplayer Air Kill (P51 VS P51) I am just starting to get the hang of multiplayer. My first day on, I was designated the chew toy, but now I am starting to figure out this wonderful machine out, day by day. Here is footage of my first recorded, "Practice P51 vs P51," multiplayer air kill. MJ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQbIpHru87c&feature=youtube
  6. The one thing that I wish all servers would turn off are the bright red and blue aircraft labels. I am not a dogfight guy, but a hit and run, high speed ambusher. Turn fighting, three feet off the ground, really isn't my thing. :joystick: :helpsmilie:MJ
  7. What would be great is if the labels were eventually turned off, server side, so that you really have to look good and hard to find planes. This way pilots will spend a lot more time scanning the sky and hit and run ambushes will be possible.:pilotfly:MJ
  8. I was on your server and I had a blast! I have to admit, I managed to got lost, trying to find my way around. I never saw an enemy. I am still getting the hang of high tech WW 2 navigation technology...well all the high tech WW 2 technology, really! :joystick: I still don't know how to fly with the very high frequency omni directional range navigation or whatever it is, in these high tech machines. :helpsmilie::megalol: MJ
  9. It makes sense. Even if some of the virtual pilots are not Black African Americans, that the characters, in the cockpits, should all be. It keeps the Virtual Squadron closer to history. African American virtual pilots fly with White European characters, in combat flight sims. I never heard of a Black Georges Guynemer or Rene Fonck and it would be just as odd to, let's say for argument sake, have a White European Lee Archer, in the cockpit of a Red Tail Mustang! It is like the old Westerns, where all of the Mexicans and Native Americans were White European guys with bad orange faux tans.:megalol::pilotfly: MJ
  10. I was thinking, at some point in the future, it will be nice to see adversaries. (I am sure I am not alone in thinking this! :music_whistling:) I have heard rumors about possible DCS German machines, but just rumors. I guess that we would need at least one form of BF 109 (maybe some type of G version, like Hartmann used) and one form of FW 190. For the BF 109s would it not be best to have a heavily armored version, for attacking bombers and a light armored version, for defending the bomber interceptor versions of the 109? I have also heard that there were versions of the 109 and 190 that could outperform the Mustang, in speed? One such machine was the 109k, I think? Well, I am sure that there will eventually be debates about balance and the coolness factor of super performing 109s, in the not too distant future, so I might as well get that ball rolling. What are the thoughts of the community or the developers, with regard to future Allied and AXIS machines? :pilotfly: MJ P.S. If all of this is already being discussed in a 1000 page thread, please direct me there! :megalol: P.P.S. P-47, B-17 and a B-24 machines would be a hoot!
  11. I noticed that on multiplayer, once I climb out to about 15, 000 feet, my Mustang will make a knocking noise and the manifold pressure dial and the RPM dial will jump up and down, so I cannot climb out to altitudes above 15, 500 feet or so. I tested climbing out off line, in single player and there is no such issue. The turbo charger is in auto, btw. Is this a bug or a server side feature; a artificial restriction on the ability of a plane to climb out, for instance? :pilotfly:MJ
  12. I just wanted to thank the ED team. I enjoy making flight simulation shorts. In the past, I primarily made shorts, for free, as a labor of love, for Rise of Flight. I didn't really promote my shorts or put extra- ordinary effort into making them, but I tried to make my shorts entertaining. I noticed that the ED team will allow video makers to make money off of Youtube shorts. Way to go, guys! I have supported flight simulation developers for years, now a flight simulation developer is helping me do what I love and allowing me to make some pocket change, on the side, while doing it. For sure, I will not make movies, for a while, until I learn the camera system and find a way to present my videos in a professional looking manner. When I do master what I need to master, I will certainly prioritize making DCS videos, over making videos using other simulations. Thank you to the ED owners, investors and workers. You make money doing what you love and you don't begrudge your customers making a buck or two off of doing what they love. Bless you all, for your great products, your commitment to your customers and for being consistent in your values and actions. Salute! MJ :pilotfly:
  13. Well, I think that A2A is simulating a different Mustang variant, than the D, currently modeled in DCS. I am pretty sure that A2A is modeling the P51H. I don' think that the P51H saw combat, in WW2, as did the P51D. Assuming that a customer has the funds to buy both and a customer really likes Mustangs, a customer will tend to buy both, at the same time or within the same month. If a customer has money for one, but not the other and the customer is really into Mustangs, the customer may buy one, then delay the purchase of the other, for a while, before making the second purchase. Still, customers really into Mustangs will probably purchase both, at some point. MJ
  14. A HA! So, we have zone convergence, instead of point convergence. I think that Yo Yo also mentioned that the damage model isn't finished yet; for the engine and the radiator and maybe some other stuff? I am not sure about the damage modeling stuff, to be sure. Maybe it is a good thing that we don't have point convergence, as it gives the attacked party a chance of surviving a crack shot, while it allows a bad shot, like me, a better chance of hitting something! :megalol::pilotfly:MJ
  15. This is my attempt to keep up with the AI. I basically had to cheat to win. MJ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb6dsKXmLwU&feature=youtu.be
