Next DCS (Russian) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
mjmorrow replied to Milene's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I suspect that a DCS Su-27 is almost a given, so I am going to change my vote to the Sukhoi Su-24M2. The Su-24 is a significant Cold War bomber that is still in use today, at least in the M2 version. -
Pre-Purchase NEVADA Test and Training Range
mjmorrow replied to KEULE's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
While we are waiting for the map release, it is neat to look at NTTR map locations in the news. The next Red Bull Air Racing event is going to happen over here, The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a location we will get to visit in simulation, when the wonderfully detailed NTTR map is released: -
Yes! I am very excited about the new trim tab options and the new rudder improvements. I really like the BF-109 K4, a whole lot. He is a handful until wheels up, but, once he in the air, he is a really likable fellow. :pilotfly:

Pilot G-limit compared to the Bf 109 and Fw 190
mjmorrow replied to Dirkan's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Ok, cool, Yo Yo. I am sure I will like the improvements to the rudder and what not. The DCS BF-109 is a really neat ride. MJ -
Pilot G-limit compared to the Bf 109 and Fw 190
mjmorrow replied to Dirkan's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
We should probably hold off on comparing the BF-109 with the P-51, till after the update. The BF-109 is getting a more refined flight model. Once we have that flight model, it will allow us to better assess our future Mustang tactics against the K4 and visa versa, sans the G Suit and all. MJ -
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Themed Skins?
mjmorrow replied to mjmorrow's topic in Liveries/Skinning
True, we don't have a DCS TIE Fighter, but I would love to see the WWII rides and Korean War rides made up with paint schemes inspired by the new Episode VII paint schemes. I appreciate historical and Semi historical skins, but I also love fun fictional skins, such as fictional racing skins, as well as other fictional skins. One of my favorites fictional skins is the Bunny Fighter, for the DCS Mig-21! That is a cool skin. :) MJ -
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Themed Skins?
mjmorrow replied to mjmorrow's topic in Liveries/Skinning
Oh definitely, SiThSpAwN. I would love Star Wars skins on the WWII and Korean planes, but that is because I love those eras, but the Eagle is a really good looking ride and a blue X-Wing design on the Eagle would look sharp. MJ -
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Themed Skins?
mjmorrow replied to mjmorrow's topic in Liveries/Skinning
Yep. I think that the New Order TIE livery is very classy looking. I also really like the new blue X-Wing's. Poe Dameron's X-Wing is cool, too. I like the whole Black Squadron concept. It reminds me of the Black Flight from WW 1. I am also biased toward any X-Wing with BB-8 on board. :) -
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Themed Skins?
mjmorrow replied to mjmorrow's topic in Liveries/Skinning
Starscream is super cool! I didn't know about that skin, SithSpAwN. Thanks a lot of the heads up and for the moral support for Star War skins, too! MJ -
Or...release it before King Hrothgar's test and we will all promise not to play with it, until after his test is over. :smilewink:

I noticed that we have really cool Robotech inspired skins for the F15. I am wondering if anyone is making Star Wars the Force Awakens themed skins for DCS planes? I would love it if the WWII era and Korean era planes would get Star Wars themed skins. In particular, I would love to see the P-51, BF-109, FW-190, F-86, and Mig-15 get paint schemes that are inspired by the: Incom T-70 X-Wing fighter: Poe Dameron's Black Squadron Incom T-70 X-Wing fighter: and First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter:

Maybe. It could be. If the team is working near Moscow, the current time isn't that late, certainly not for a Russian office. It is about 5:45 pm in Moscow, right now. That is 11: 45 AM RCT, Russian Corporate Time. :megalol: I will check back tonight and see if the new version is loaded up. MJ

How many modules are you REALLY proficient at?
mjmorrow replied to Pizzicato's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I don't think I am proficient with any of the modules, yet. I am still very much a student learner. :book: I am still having a ton of fun. I can't wait to get the chance to sim fly on the DoW server, again! :pilotfly: -
When the NTTR comes out, I am going to go sight seeing and have a super relaxing time, while checking out all of the great and breathtaking details put into the NTTR map and DCS World 2. :pilotfly:

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
mjmorrow replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I am a very big fan of this plane and of Embraer S.A. Embraer S.A. created a lot of great high paying jobs to Florida. The Super Tucano itself is a very cool plane. The counter insurgency role that it performs is a very interesting role, too. I would absolutely purchase and love to sim fly the Super Tucano. MJ -
I did not vote in the poll, but would really like to have this ride, a whole lot. I mean, the Intruder is an incredibly sharp looking plane and I would love to sim fly the Intruder. If the Intruder is made with a fully clickable cockpit and the ability to work with another team player in the same pit, I am absolutely going to purchase the Intruder, no doubt. My problem with the poll is that unless some team is already working on the Intruder, I don' t see how it could be in the DCS store by 2017. MJ

Pre-Purchase NEVADA Test and Training Range
mjmorrow replied to KEULE's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Joyriding through Nevada is going to be so fantastic. This will be the map I use to learn to sim fly all my current and future rides. The scenery, especially around Sunrise and Sunset, will be so very beautiful and relaxing. My left index finger will be mashing the PrtScn button and I will have Shadowplay rolling, every time I use this map. I don't want to miss all of the great eye candy along the way. I want a visual record of all the lovely sights I will see. So much detail went into this great map. With mods and official updates, I am sure that this map will remain a really fascinating place to explore, for many years to come. I am so very happy! I can't wait to try this great map out. MJ -
Brakes stuck on from standstill?
mjmorrow replied to Grahamh1701d's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
I may be wrong gents, but this sounds like you need to invert your toe brakes. For each of your toe brakes, go into your axis tune panel menu and click on the box next to invert. That should do the trick. MJ -
How about a DCS Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa? The Peregrine Falcon would be a pretty sweet furballer. MJ

Thanks for the sale. I picked up the DCS- BF-109 K-4. I am extremely pleased with the purchase. Oh, that K4, what an incredible machine! I can see why there are so many 109 fetishists out there. Now, if I can only get the takes offs and landings down. :pilotfly: MJ

That is a good question and I hope the answer from LS is no. I think that the Mig-21 is an exceptional add-on. I can't wait to get my hands ont he F-14. The F14 is ging to be my Forth Gen ride of choice. I hope it doesn't have the AIM-120. After spending time using the Mig-21bis in multiplayer, I can't stand the SPAMRAAM. :megalol: When I am using the F-14, I want Red players to have fun, too. I don't want Red players to go through the trouble of a start up and take off, just to have six AIM-120's go off in their faces, without detecting the launch or being able to do a thing about it. How is that fun? :( It is my understanding that the AIM-7 was really for going after bombers and that prior to Kosovo, we didn't really have a fool proof BVR vs fighters capability. I think the AIM-7 only successfully hit Iraqi fighters one out of four times, against Iraqi fighters flying straight and level, during the Persian Gulf War I. I think we are better off if the F-14 is more of a WVR fighter, without a reliable BVR anti fighter capability. It will lead to more rewarding and exciting game play, for both sides. MJ

That definitely looks more like a what will be than a what if. Outstanding!

I would really like a Yorktown-class carrier, especially the USS Enterprise. A dev team able to visit NY may wish to look into making an Essex Class carrier, too. The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is literally inside and on the top deck of an Essex Class carrier, the USS Intrepid. MJ

I think that the overall community is better off with DCS level planes, so long as there is an auto start options and other ways for players not interested in complex systems start ups and management. So long as planes are accessible to everyone, I think we are ok. The team may want to look into ways of designing modules to better serve potential customers with physical disabilities and such, too.

WW1 planes with complex engine management and stuff? Personally, I am very much up for DCS WW1. MJ
