  1. I had some CPU overheating problems so I wasn't in DCS for a few days. Today I decided to activate MiG-21 again and it was succesfull! All I had to do was: run MiG-21_delete_activation_data.reg from the ED site. Deleting ALL MODULES ACTIVATIONS didn't help so don't do that! I hope that my new GPU won't trigger activation request again whet it arrives because I lost some activations during this mess. Thanks to Cobra for takin' care!
  2. I agree that good customer communication is not all that matters, but it sure is a good thing to have it. Regarding a wishlist: I want to be surprised by the guys because my wish came true with MiG-21, and devs already now what will they do next, so we can wish all day but that won't make any difference.
  3. I just watched RSBN navigation video and I really liked it! Sometimes is good to have longer video that slowly explains everything and that's exactly what I loved about this one! Great job!
  4. Does anyone from LN Sim nows, what is the song used for the first trailer, or should I ask GlowingAmraam? That song/theme was beyond any expectations! Every few days I listen to it :)
  5. I made some screenies in the AI phase (pre-release).
  6. I have run the first one which deletes registried for all the modules. And all modules are reset except the MiG-21. I can try to delete again with fix at the bottom of the page (just the MiG-21 module). I'm also waiting for new processor and GPU so I will also be using some of my activations in next few weeks, but I think that we will normaly spend activations now, but when we come to the last one spent, that last one will be replaced with another next month. That is how I understand things.
  7. @Feeleen This is not exactly correct. I did that, and my MiG-21 module is reporting the same error. This reg. fix only killed my other modules. But, that's just my case, maybe it can help somebody.

Thank! I have missed that somehow... I'll try that as soon as my MiG module starts to work again.

The problem is that when I wanted to add a key to flaps up, the ADD button was not clickable so I couldn't do that. But I can't try it now to check if it is working because my MiG-21 module is not working at the moment. Speaking of axes, I would like that we could assign wheel brakes to an axe. And I like the cover switches idea!
  10. EtherealN, I did what you suggested, but it didn't help. At the moment I had installed Mi-8 and FC3 modules which continued to work after RAM modification on my PC (I have explained in "my" thread). Now, all modules has stopped working but there is a difference in activation windows. For Mi-8 and FC3 I get window like the modules haven't been activated (the field for the key is empty) but for MiG-21 I get window that activation needs to be repeated and my key is already entered and same error occurs → Helper Application has stopped working. Now I don't know what to do. (again) :helpsmilie:
  11. I would like to say that my other modules (I have Mi-8 and FC3 installed at the moment) still works without asking for activation again. It makes sense because changing RAM is only 6 points in chart I gave earlier (I don't know why MiG-21 stopped working at all). But when I am loading mission even if MiG-21 is not in it, this module (MiG-21) asks for activation. When I choose not to activate it, mission loading goes on, and nothing happens - I still get to fly Mi-8. Now I have to delete entries in registry so I can activate MiG-21 again (EtherealN's suggestion) so I will see what will happen. I am writing this so that developers (LN Simulations) have some data how MiG-21's activator behaves so maybe they can fix it. EDIT: I have deleted registry entries and it didn't help. When I try to activate MiG-21, my key is already entered (unlike for other modules) and the same error message appears. Now I wait.

OK, please tell me to which keyboard commands are they mapped to. For example: Flaps up = l ctrl + f Flaps take off = r ctrl + f Flaps landing = r ctrl + r alt + f Because, when I open DCS options, there are empty fields next to these commands so I don't know which keys to map in TARGET profile. Thanks!
  13. OK thanks, I'll try that!

I have also a question/request. Regarding the flaps control: I really don't understand why we don't have keyboard assignments for flaps positions IN, TAKE-OFF, LANDING? Only Take-Off "Joystick" (whatever this means). So we can map those assignments in our profiles and control flaps with switches on our HOTASes. As I wrote in some other thread, we can even control switch covers for some switches by keyboard, and yet there is no key to move the flaps for IN to LANDING position. Only step by step. If I am wrong, please let me know which keys are assigned to do that. :helpsmilie:
  15. EtherealN, thanks for answer, but please be so kind to explain a little bit further. I never used regedit and I really would like to aviod using it now, so I can download file from the link and than what? I just double-click it and click Run, or I need to move it first to some specified destination and run it?
  16. I was just about to do complete reinstall of DCS myself, but now I won't do that. Obviously something isn't working with activation system at the moment so I hope that someone will take time do resolve it.
  17. @Cobra I have tried to activate using pcnsl.exe but it is the same thing, and the same message pops up. So, it's not working. I've sent you a PM with the same content, just in case. EDIT: I also tried DCS repair and that didn't help.
  18. My computer begs for an upgrade for a some time now so I decided to spend few bucks on a cheapest possible upgrade. Today RAM arrived so I installed it. When I started DCS to see if there is any changes on my MiG-21 baaaad fps I was surprised that I needed to activate the module again. It the thread about moduls deactivation, I read this: An activation will be required if the hardware/software changes exceed 12 points as rated below: CPU ID: 13 Windows PID: 3 Computer Name: 3 Hard drive volume serial number: 3 MAC address: 6 RAM amount: 6 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=90596&page=3 But, what can I do, I had to go on with activation again. Activation screen remembered my key so i clicked next, I waited few moments, then I have been noted that everything went fine and that I have 8 activations left. I clicked OK but then new window popped out saying: Helper Application has stopped working! I had to click Close program and my MiG-21 mission resumes loading but activation actually failed and I can not enter the cockpit so MiG in my mission became AI and it starts up and taxi away... So my activation is spent and failed at the same time. Do I need to reinstall DCS, try to repair it or what should I do? Also, I am waiting for new graphic card and new processor, so should I deactivate modules before installing new graphic card? For the processor I now that I have to. Thanks! P.S. This is the screen I'm talking about:
  19. Just like cichlidfan, I use TARGET from day one. Mainly because of layers or mods (every button has multiple functions - don't know if that can be done without using Target). When I create profile for new module, some inputs are the same and I don't have to map them again. Everybody has it's own way of doing things, that's all. I absolutely agree with you, but how can I map them in the script when I can't map the key in the keyboard section at DCS options? I don't seem to understand purpose of this mess. We can map inputs for all kind of switch covers in the MiG cockpit, but we can not map inputs for flaps positions?! I really hope that developers will change that.
  20. Thanks Wizz for your effort! I can do it like you did (add the command to the joystick) and it works BUT only when my TARGET profile is turned off. When I turn TARGET profile ON, in DCS options TM Warthog falls to one category "Thrustmaster Combined" and it emulates keyboard inputs (if I understand it correctly). There is no more JOY_BTN23 input when i flip the flaps switch. Are the rest of you guys, who are using this succesfully, use it with your TARGET profiles turned ON? I don't want to input all my commands in the DCS option screen every time I install the game. That's why we have profiles.
  21. My question now is: where do I map desired keys to my keyboard? I started DCS World, went to OPTIONS→CONTROLS→MiG-21Bis and when I want to map a key to "Flaps In (joystick)", I can't do it. There is no ADD option available like for other modules (Mi-8 for example). What am I doing wrong, or don't understand?? I feel kinda stupid right now... :)
  22. Hi guys! I'm sorry but I usually don't edit lua files because I don't know how to. I use TARGET GUI (not the Script Editor) for my profiles. I would like to use the TM Warthog 3-way flaps switch to control flaps in the MiG (like in the A-10C). I have copied default.lua to it's destination and it has no effect. Obviously I had to modify it some way. To cut it short: What exacty should I do to get 3-way flaps switch working like it should? Thanks!
  23. I have already seen that thread but I don't know how to edit lua files and I don't have time to learn it now. Thanks anyway!
  24. Thanks for answer! I have set 1 notch up and 1 notch down but as I said, I wanted to use the 3 position switch on TM Warthog which is intended for flaps control. And don't understand what the "joystick" part means in "Flaps In (joystick)". How it is intended to be used?
  25. I'm sorry but I still don't get it. About the flaps: I found "Flaps In (joystick)" and the rest of commands, but next to them, there is an empty field (no key listed which needs to be pressed). My question is: which key I need to press to switch the flaps in the Take-Off position for example? I also have a TM Warthog and I want to use 3 way flaps switch as in A-10C. Thanks!
