  1. People should learn not to get offended. @hitman: for some it's not a week behind ;)
  2. Happy Easter to all who celebrate it today :) Христос воскресе!
  3. They've turned off the mirrors to get better fps :D
  4. A night club in Novi Sad:
  5. No, TDMA alone does not solve that problem. It's just a way for multiple users to share the same channel. How you will combine data from those slots is up to the upper layers of the protocol. See into the difference between TCP and UDP. I'd like to see those SATCOM antennas :)
  6. Any link-16 device is able to opperate in data silent mode. I am sure that the protocol desing covers problems of passive participants on the network. ACK/retransmit is not the only way to ensure data consistency. Heavy ECC alghoritms can compensate for that (with some overhead, but I don't think that is an issue for this type of network).

  8. Is it able to jettison those pylons?
  9. The best effect you can get out of the decoy is to make the pilot think if it is a decoy. With all the things he has to think about, he doesn't need one more. So if he's smart, he simply won't. That's one reason they are so effective. A missile is expensive, but a plane and pilot put in danger are even more expensive.
  10. so what :) you just had a bad missile ;)
  11. I think that it has been available on eurofighter for a long time (in software) but only now has it been tested (in hardware :D).
  12. Been posted ;)
  13. I never saw the 300 figure, always ~100 but yes, it highly LOLable. But, aside from the two confirmed kills, there are several confirmed damaged, and also some unconfirmed damaged, but coming from legit sources (the 50, 100, and such figures come from press rooms). Also there were many UAVs and cruise missiles hit, and since many people liked to watch the fireforks outside, those could be interpreted by someone as planes being hit. Our own jets falling, SAMs selfdistructing and other things like that could also contribute to that.
  14. It was S-125M with additional unkown modifications. Zoltan never mentioned TV guidance. In fact, he specificly mentiones the crew got a radar lock. A few things about that report. Some things are a bit wrong. First, it wasn't over hilly terrain. I think they mixed it up with that F-117 that got between a MiG and a NATO jet. They say "a salvo" of missiles, making it sound like there was a bunch of missiles fired. In fact, there were only two, and the first one did not guide properly or at all. Also, HARMS would not be of much help against SA-3. They're about as effective against it, as SAMs are to F-117. You can score a hit, but it's much much harder than with other systems (due to longer wavelenght). If you want to defeat SA-3, LGBs or IR missiles are the way to go.
  15. I know that, but I'm asking about maintenance. More importantly, who did maintenance control?
  16. That thing about earlier LA leads me to believe that they were max distance shots
  17. When did I brag about it? I only mention it when someone asks about something, or when I find some new info. But ok. From now on when someone talks about stelth, I'll just come and simply say what a huge penis I have :) And if you're talking about Hajduks "Reminder" that's just a sig war he has with GG :)
  18. From the man who commanded the shooting down of the F-117: 8000m
  19. The Weibull curve:
  20. I think you guys misunderstood what GG said.. @hitman: "Our" single greatest achievment is the military remaining largely untouched (air force excluded). Shooting down of the stealth and other aircraft just goes on top of that.
