  2. some of the stuff that is presented can be rather shocking.
  3. I googled the gunsite a while back as I didn't believe it would have a mention of a Hurricane that late in the war. What came up was a site where you could order spec build replicas of both the revi and the Askania. in any case; feel free to check this out: https://www.google.nl/search?q=askania+ez42&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=_zfiU4fCNMe3PLfFgMgM&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg&biw=1745&bih=875 along with this: http://www.deutscheluftwaffe.de/archiv/Dokumente/ABC/b/Beobachtungsgereate/EZ/EZ%2040/EZ%2040%20Visier.html

  6. interesting....
  7. Now that the Spitfire Mk IX has been 'schedualed'for december, I'm wondering about the status of the mk V?
  8. impromptu virtual dogfighting with the P51. Maybe a little reading on German units like JG26 and finally, maybe try a little writing again.
  9. another GTX 460 user here.
  10. same here!
  11. but it shouldnt be turned into a flamewar either.
  12. Odd. Last combat mission of both 1st and 3rd Gruppen seems to have indeed been on april the 28th, apparently under the command of an ensign(not quite appropriately translated from the German Fahnrich, I'll admit) Wichmann. By that time however both the gruppen were no longer even close to Prague, but apparently operating from a place called Bad Aibling, a place where they had been since april 20th..... http://www.amazon.de/Chronik-Jagdgeschwader-27-Hans-Ring/dp/3613034611/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1403274650&sr=8-5&keywords=jg+27 Thats what I found there...
  13. Who knows; if the North Weald restoration is carried through....
  14. In this case, JG26.
  15. no argument from me on this, Sithspawn.
  16. google surprised me. More info here: http://www.deutscheluftwaffe.de/instrumente/katalog/kopien/Kopie%20Revi%20EZ%2042.htm
  17. that wasn't the only surprise on there; although there were Hawker products in service, the Hurricane wasn't really in service on the western front any more.
  18. I keep on wondering wheter or not that Kopf und schwanz lastig mention on page 74 actually means nose heavy (in the case of kopf) and tail heavy (in the case of schwanz)
  19. ah yes, the defense of Berlin.
  20. KISS (keep it simple, stupid) A DCS Normandy version of this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFg-EZ19_Z8 would probably be more then enough to get people started.
