I have no Program Files/Eagle Dynamics directory.

It's okay, I've figured it now.

Tips? Mission editor keeps moving them back to land.

Okay I did another interesting test. It's not a playable again but I thought it was quite cool anyway. LGB missing target: Please have a look at track
JCamel replied to Sylle's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
The simple solution is to use a JDAM on stationary targets. -
Where's the activation key again? Is it just built-in somewhere?
-
You must lock and then TMS Up Long.
-
Okay, cheers. I take it A-10 1.2 is free if you've already got DCS A-10?
-
I'll second that.

How do you get this 1.1.1.1 patch? LOL, just checked, it's there, landmines. Another cool thing to do if you're playing with the editor is to get a ship to use it's AK-130 gun on tanks or artillery by firing at it. Serious rate of fire for a 130mm gun!
-
Is it possible with A-10C mission builder?
-
I got the pilot rescued safely. However has anyone noticed that there's two hidden Hinds that never come into play because their trigger is set up wrong. If you unhide everything in editor, they are listed as THRT 4 at Beslan and are supposed to be triggered when the coalition moves into the THRT 4 trigger zone. Instead they have been set up to be triggered when they themselves enter that zone, which they never do because they're not triggered and therefore don't exist.:) Hind bullet tracers also appear green on replays.

can't get pass mission 7-1-0 in campaign need help!
JCamel replied to silentbob11's topic in Mission and Campaigns
I've found that missions sometimes don't like the order in which you destroy things. If you destroy something that then gets an AI instruction from the way the mission is planned, the game can crash. E.g. on the CSAR mission if you destroy the T-72s before they're told to move, the game will crash when they're told to move. Sometimes replays don't match the actual mission either. It's still a fantastic game but there's a lot of ironing out to be done. -
Is there an official end point to missions, e.g. on the CSAR mission do you just quit after landing when the pilot is rescued and that's the end?
-
So how do you install this patch if you already have A-10C installed?
-
A pothole being a 20ft crater?;)
-
Very helpful that, thanks.
-
Can planes do this or does it recognise the runway as obliterated?
-
I've figured the problem. I think I'm on 1.1.1.1 but basically if you kill the T-72s before they're activated, it throws a wobbly when it later tries to activate them.
-
I've repeated this three times now. If you kill all the SAMs, T-72s and BTR-80s, the game takes a shit and stops running.
-
The Starstreak had a proximity fuse too. Even the GAU-8 would be better than using Hydras and it kills BMPs very easily.
-
Nice. I once set up 80 MLRSs, 20 Howitzers an MBT and a AAA at the range, and went out loaded with 6 CBU-97s and 1150 CM. Looked very similar. Those ammo bunkers to the left on your shot are fun targets with unguided Mk-84s.
-
So do I set them to an alert state, will that get them to launch within a given trigger zone?
-
Yeah, sometimes the air defences will take out all the missiles, sometimes with just RIM-7 and RIM-66 and sometimes with a combination of those and CIWS in the form of M61 and Mk38 M242. The very latest weapons are absent from both sides, e.g. no RIM-161 (SM-3) and no RIM-162 (ESSM) on naval vessels, no PAC-3 Patriot, no S-400, no THAAD, no F-22, no Kh-90, no Kh-32, no R-37, no KS-172. It's very much llimited to sort of early-90s stuff, except for the things like JDAMs, JASSMs and JSOWs and the A-10C itself. Much of the stats in the Encyclopedia are just plain wrong also, e.g. the G-limit for the F-16 and F-18 is listed at 8 and 7. Some of the Encylclopedia stats also contradict the manual. Still a fantastic simulator though.
