  1. Yes, they both have provisions for bombs. Both in the sim, and real life. And dammit, I want to hang those bombs under my wings. Devs! I'm begging.....fix this issue with the Steam edition!
  2. I understood that the issue was a problem with updating the Steam version, not whether or not it's beta. My Steam version does say beta. They did mention that it was coming to the Steam edition as soon as the problem was solved. But, as I say, I guess it involves a little more than they expected. Disappointing...but what can ya do?
  3. Unfortunately it isn't out of early beta for us peons who purchased on Steam. I still don't have bombs, drop tanks, or clipped wings. They had said that it would be fixed by the next day, but I suppose it's a bigger issue than they originally thought.
  4. Just making sure I'm not doing something wrong. The Steam version should update as soon as I start it, correct?
  5. So now he's off in his kite to prang the Jerry cabbage crates right in the how's your father. (Monty Python reference for the comedy impaired amongst us).
  6. "Seems like the manual has not been updated to include some words on how to use the bombs..." Right now, according to a you tube video I watched, you simply dive toward the target and press your bomb release! They haven't implemented arming buttons just yet, I understand. But no big deal. These are 1930's/40's airplanes. Dropping bombs wasn't rocket science.
  7. Yeah, I actually went and read the manual, (yes, I'm shocked, too) and found out how to put in your own payloads. Didn't know about that. Did it to my stand alone install and there they were! My AI Spitfires had bombs and a droptank. Now if they would only fix the Steam version so that I could use them, that would be great.
  8. 2nd Tactical Air Force HQ wants to know why I haven't been bombing any Jerry targets!
  9. Never mind. I got it. The manual is your friend.
  10. Captain, would you be able to explain, to someone who has little experience with the ME, how that it done?
  11. Ah, okay, thanks. I actually have two installs. The Stand-Alone, and a Steam version. I have the Spit on my Steam install, but I went over to check out the bombs on an AI Spit in the Stand-Alone. Bombs and tanks do not show up. I'll have to go and check out the bug reports to see whats up. I don't know why there always has to be some sort of issue, but what're ya gonna do?
  12. Came in here to see what everybody was saying about it. I bought mine on Steam, so I have to wait. Seems theres a problem with updating the Steam version. But what about everybody else? I was expecting a large amount of posts...and nothing.
  13. "Also this month will see the completion of the Spitfire with a clipped wing version, the ability to carry bombs, and the ability to mount both a slipper tank or external fuel tank. This will give our Spitfire far more mission capability like cross-channel patrols and ground attacks." I just came in here to ask about this and saw the post. Well, great, I hope so. I just bought this airplane along with the Normandy map and WW2 assets. I'M LOVING THIS MODEL! For the last four days it is all I've been flying. Enjoying it, thoroughly. I have a four year old laptop and I'm running this beautifully. From everything I had read I wasn't expecting to, actually. Well, looking forward to those bombs. Can't understand why it took such a long time to implement such a small thing. Hope it's soon.
  14. I know we already have a Mustang. But the earlier models have always been my favorites. Is there any love out there for the B and C? Same airplanes, of course. Only difference was that the B models were built in Los Angelos and the C's in Dallas. Not sure why that warranted a designation change. I would think you could get that out with your eyes closed. You've already done most of the work. Would love to see it.
  15. I said to myself, "You sure you want to post that? They're gonna murder you with this one!" And I hit the button. Lol!!! I know I'll wind up getting this the first time I see that someone has come out with something to shoot down. I saw a shot with a P-51 flying in formation with an FW-190. So, I think we're close.
  16. Believe it or no, I haven't bought the Mustang , yet, and the biggest reason is that the pilot is wearing a modern helmet. Okay, silly? Yes! but it bugs me. Is there any chance, that in the near future he may get a cloth or leather helmet?
