Not yet, but we all eagerly hope for a dev update in the next days... last one was given around 30th June ..

Auto update is easy with steam, but it's not a big issue with Standalone Auto update.. I have standalone and am happy with it... (And having steam running in the background , grabs PC ressources ... while playing DCS) .

sorry to say but your reply sounds very much exaggerated... "like 80s game ?" come on ... I had my first impressions in NTTR yesterday ...first few flights in 2.1 I noticed some issues regarding lighting and some plane exterior details appear a bit to too shiny / "glass effect" (already known issue and going to change) ... ... but Overall, NTTR is a truly amazing Map !!! the Level of Detail is mindblowing ! the Nevada Theater immersion is undoubtedly there ... .

I can definately confirm this.. tried this yesteday in 2.1 with an AI F18C and yeah, the engine sound changed...(dont blame me if it always was in 2.1 , Im new to this DCS Version) sounds good to me, although Im not sure If this is already the external sound by boeing or ED's own stuff meanwhile... .

just thinking of the Combo of NTTR map + F14 + Community A4 Mod in Multiplayer gives me goosebumps missing the times where I was young kid , where I had enough time for all this Flight Sim awesomeness to come :-) .

same here, Im currently downloading DCS 2.1 and install NTTR to see how my rig handles it... ( as Im writing these lines , the update torrent is running , 2hours to go .. modules are currently gettin' imported ) I have both 1.5 and 2.1 installed in separate main Folders.. my question is .. how can I simply take over my control Settings from 1.5 into 2.1 ? in the DCS 2.1 Q&A thread I read the following: "Will I need to remap my controls? Depending on the changes to the specific module, you may find doing a clean set up of your controls better" What does that mean ? Can I simply override the now installed 2.1 DCS vanilla "Keyboard.lua's" etc.. with my "1.5.7 custom control Keyboard.luas" ? Or how to do this the best way ? .

Dear ED, quite some details about the upcoming Version / Liveries and armament were given so far, what about the Sound ? You have source / cooperation with active duty hornet squads to authentically record/ replicate the Engine Sound or is this up to the Modders and the Hornet will use DCS vanilla Sound first ? Ok thx, and there is no kinda "expiry date" ? So I estimate we see 2.5 at least in 2018, so that would the year of my initial Nevada activation...

Hello everyone, as I want to grab the beautiful Nevada map within the ongoing 2017 Summer sale, one question arises: can I use the key later on, when 2.5 merge is out ? My idea is to now get Nevada map key for summer sale discout but not installing DCS 2.1 yet, and rather use my bought key once 2.5 rolls out (I want only one DCS install on my System , currently running 1.5 open beta) Pls ED tell me If this plan is valid ? May I add 2 question regarding jettison here ? Yesterday I lost an MP Aerial combat because I forgot to jettison my mid fuel tank... 1. Is there a quick key for the jettison of the mid fuel tank ? .... (Control + W) I remember for FC3 planes.. 2. do I Need to swith the fuel System then or is there a Auto Setting for automatically switching fuel system to in board fuel tank? .

correct me If Im wrong , but i think the upcoming F18C template will fully replace the now existing F18C template in the sim , right? So you mean , ED will add RCAF skins to the new F18C model in the future or you pointed into the direction of community modders/skinners ?

as you can tell from the OP, this thread is more a wishlist thread to include combat, demo and even fictional Skins for the hornet. I doubt this thread is meant to tell ED what Skins they should include in their vanilla hornet Skin package.. Relax ; im pretty sure ED only provides us with authentic and combat ready Skins ( + Blue Angels maybe ??) You can skip additional modder skins, if you dont like 'em
