Well, once a target bugged it really should be able track automatically withouth adjusting the radar unless you dont bank out of your gimbles. Its called TRACK while scan ..so... Interesting is though, that the russian planes can "bug" in TWS somehow too (when the target box "jumps on"), but just pitty that you dont have weapons which can be fired based on that.....*cough cough* can they? :music_whistling: hihi quote: "...maddog went bidon..." -
50 is the lowest limit, and something on deck or takeoff. I remember Yoda and me back in days had always our settings in a way that 50fps was the lowest...surely you have to make some graphical sacrifices (visib, modellot.txt, scenes, mirror, haze...which suits best etc etc), but there is a good reason why i dont fight under 50FPS. While others enjoy the trees and all the buildings, i enjoy my missiles splashing the bandits whith "crappy" gfx :). Once you get used to 50-150FPS you will feel like killing your PC if you hit the 30FPS edge....at least, that´s what i feel. My question was though, how will the BS engine behave in 2.0 (higher speeds, higher alts, more and faster preloads ..etc etc etc.) you got the point.
-
Personally i wont have issues with FPS..even though <50FPS is a reason for me to eject and/or do something about it. But the concerns are also coming from people who are up to date (systems) and do know the difference between BS and 1.12a. I personally have never tried BS, so the first chopper i will see, will be the one i shoot down :D. Just asking, what ppl have to say abuot this....or what their thoughts are?
-
I hear from many people in Hyperlobby big concerns about the performance in 2.0 due to the fact, that it is based on the BlackShark-Enginge. Anyone something to add here?

ok..that´s what i wanted to hear. :weight_lift:......

@ Post 525: Hmm, dunno how i have to understand this. Will test it as soon as i have it in my fingers (few other aspects might be cruicial too...let´s be suprised), but somehow cool to know that you dont have to chase already hurt bandits running supersonic-push-pulll-rudder-righ-left-push-pull halleluyaa over whole afghanistan :megalol: ...but also sounds like better "spray and pray" chances.....

Just saw it the first time...this is really a great thread :D

Who in the Lomac Community uses radar Automization?
A.S replied to 3Sqn_TomAce's topic in DCS Modding
that was not the question..btw in falcon it is not an automization...it is the system by standart.... and there is a good reason why i dont use it. I have my onw handy ways. I like what you do Yoda....really..even though i protest alot...but the way it is done and the security gaps are .eeeek  you know there is way more what can be done once in the lua world... -

Well we agree then, cuz the implemtation of datalink generaly is great like hell, but they way it is achieved is more then to be worried about.
-
soo, you dont mind if i modify a little bit to have UEBER SA? :music_whistling: actually great, then i dont have to work for a lock-bite in order to read out my bandit...i just look my new shiny tools :) get my drift?
-
Yo dudes, is Yoda dictating the "rules" here or is it still DCS deciding how multiplayer environment is supposed to look like?
-
@EitheraiIN: Can you modify TS to read out almost all datas you need?
-
Oh i see you are distracting the core-issue by drifting into analogies. Nice to see you support NON - DCS 3rd party tools careless and almost with dazzled view, and that as Moderator....omgs. Keep your replies to me straight and clean please...i posted often enuogh before in this thread that i appreciate his work but the risks have to be taken care of. Read before you reply. Im not going to go into this further.
-
You dont understand it Yoda, do you? You just announced a tool which can be externaly used to gain more informations as meant to be from the core itself. In every other game this is considered a CHEAT-Program ! All this has a good side though...it shows DCS what to improve so things like that wont work. Is datalink part of the game=? if so ...great=? Is someone else hacking the net to get datalink=? if so...cheat ! Get over it.

Hehe, good read/typing :smartass:

Correct, it makes no sense to develope LEAVU and later on another application what secures the flaws and avoids missusage. Only way is having the server enforcing the clients to have exports off or limited. No other way around. The game-core itself must ensure security right on. People should more focus on flying rather then tweaking....me slowly starts to think.

This "problem" i have been preaching long time ago - thx for coming out in public, noone else confirmed it yet, even knowing about it . That is one reason why we do not allow lua-export in TCL TEAM vs TEAM BVR matches...or/and generally. I am currently trying to read all the posts here, trying to "find" an idea how to make this great work of Yoda (which it is somehow) workable in secure ways and type in same time. The problems i currently see are those: Yes LEAVU can only see what your system does, but i have no gurantee that it cant be modified easily to "see more" I dont know in how far this could be limited server sided. The next bigger problem i see is the fact, that it is not a built-in game feature, meaning not part of the core. It is like going to DARPA (in this case lockonfiles prolly) and asking for an upgrade for the systems in fear the "enemies" might have bought that upgrade too. And DARPA replies..."oh sorry, but we do still work for the russian version, there was not need for us to develope it yet". I do appreciate the work of all modders and application programers, oh yes i do. This is crucial drive in communities, especially sims. But there is undenyable a huge question about consequences. Today it could be "in background running app nr1", tomorrow you have App2 running in background...etc etc...all 3rd party EXTERNAL tools not meant to be part of the sim. Black Market armoring!! Im also aware that not every indepentend work made by various people can be instantly implemented in the game itself, even though DCS also might appreciate the work of external projects. Therefore the only solution is the ability to block all those things ingame already. But even then you have the problem that Wingman 1 shares files over net running a tool with Wingman 2 independent of server settings. Sever Lua OFF, but mr. X and mr. Y have datalink or internet info link. Not everyone, who is flying lockon has mates or is part of Squadrons. Who are they supposed to share "datas" with inflight? Regretfull i have to say thereforer, that this application is a huge risk as it was for the "real-time TAcview issue" , not because it would be a huge advantage to see in your radar what is painted by your wingmen only - like it is in Falcon and good Pilots would still know how to give right calls and make right decissions without having the wingman´s "dots" on their own radar - but the risk, that this tool is easily to modify for more data readout. that is can be used over net independent from server settings as a common secret second background network that it is not official part of the game and therefore not for use for all pilots. It is not a global feature. it is a program written to have more advantage then those who prefer to fly 2.0 blank ..makes me sorry to say, but under those conditions it is pure blank hardcore cheating !!
