Hello everyone! I just got this module yesterday and i played all the training missions. Unfortunately the startup mission doesn't include the ASP. The weapons training missions say i should just use the button labeled "SIGHT" on the RV panel. My problem is that it doesn't work. I clicked the button this after completing the startup mission (the guy said get lost). The "abort launch" light on the right side of the ASP turns on but that's it. The ASP glass remains empty. I waited for a few minutes and nothing happens. What am i doing wrong?

That thread is outdated. Look at this one: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2018105 While flying the huey doesn't really use a lot of electricity. There are some fuel pumps, lights and instruments. That's all. Try starting the engine a few times. That uses lots of power.

AFAIK it is modeled in the Huey. You can even recharge it!

Fertig. Link findest du in diesem sticky Thread unter Forum and Site Issues. EDIT: Sniped.

Advanced Formation Training and A/A Refueling
Oznerol256 replied to AFAlinebacker42's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
any time from 1600-2300 Zulu -
I found a bigger bug: Land the chopper after a normal flight and turn off the engine. Do that by cutting the throttle and turning off the fuel pump. Then (with the blades still spinning) turn off the battery and both generators. The huey will still have power until the blades come to a full stop.

Advanced Formation Training and A/A Refueling

Still spots available? I'd love to take one. -
[insert one of those hints to FreeTrack/FaceTrackNoIR here]

A very good change in my opinion.

A-10C Formation Flight Fundamentals Training
Oznerol256 replied to AFAlinebacker42's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Is it on yet? I was looking forward to see the stream, but the stream is offline. -
If you go in the options and the leave them, even the text for the login button is lost. It is replaced by ACTION (some kind of id for the button)

So i tested that once again. easy comms is forced on in that mission. Select any freq and try to contact the tanker. The freq selectors on the radio jump to 150 am. If the freq was blocked by the constant tone, that block is gone and the freq works again. Dont mess with freqs at all, just contact whatever you want to contact and the radio will jump to the needed frequency. Seems like easy comms in that mission has bug that can cause frequencies to get blocked. If you get your radio to jump to the freq, the bug disappears.
-
switching to AM selects the guard channel. That means, your freq selectors are ignored and the radio tunes in on guard channel. So, you should not be able to contact anything except downed pilots with the switch to AM. The fact that it worked supports the assumption of easy comms being forced on.
-
Automatic change of freqs is part of easy mode communications. It is the only way aircrafts from FC3 can communicate. I don't use it in A-10C but it may be forced on in the mission. How did you even catch up on the second tanker? It flies way too fast for an A-10.
-
So you think the tanker is blocking 150 am? Because once i manage to get 150am working, aerial refueling works just fine. I have tested it in A-10C (if you dont contact atc the freq works) and F-15C. Well in that case, someone should yell at VA to make them update their mission.
-
Oh! I must have missed that. Okay, i made a new perfect track. 150 am did work, but after i contacted atc it stopped working. It is shown beautifully in a 2 minutes track. Links: Download client track Download dcs.log PS: Yes i know the link didnt change. I have replaced the old track.

---------TOP SPEED -------> [Speed Records Leaderboard]
Oznerol256 replied to H-var's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
So a supersonic jet doesn't have a speed gauge that can measure supersonic speeds correctly? Makes sense . The last entry of the gauge seems to be Mach 2.4 which doesnt make any sense at all. The maximum speed of the F-15C according to Wikipedia is mach 2.5. The speed gauge of the A-10C goes 20% above the Never exceed speed (which is 450 knots). The F-15C's gauge should therefore go to at least Mach 2.90. So is this a bug in FC3 or am i doing something wrong? -
---------TOP SPEED -------> [Speed Records Leaderboard]
Oznerol256 replied to H-var's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I have a question: AfkMan's screenshots from the F-15C show 800 knots. How is that 2600 km/h? google states that 800 knots is 1400km/h. According to google 2600km/h would be 1400 knots. What am i doing wrong? (Yes, i tried nautical miles per hour.) -
My registry doesn't contain a DCS World folder in HKCU\Software\Eagle Dynamics\. It just contains one folder for every module i have. These folders contain my activation keys as well as some other stuff. Also note that im trying to move the Open Beta, not the normal stable DCS. Actually, i have just moved the folder and updated the shortcuts. Everything works fine so far.

I didnt try the mission. I also don't need to. It works in SP. And it works on most MP servers, too. However, it (almost) reliably does NOT work on the VA server. I have provided a track on page 1. Anyway, here it is again: Download client track I may create another track and post it too.
-
Mission design? So you think the mission tries to deactivate 150am? Well, it doesn't always work. And if you pick a hot start A10 the freq always works. Additionally, why would a mission designer try to deactivate certain freqs?
-
VHF AM. 150Mhz. Sometimes it doesnt work. Log into the Virtual Aerobatics server and do a cold startup. Then tune the VHF AM radio to 150. It gives the the constant tone. Go to 151 and it disappears. It reappears once you get above the freq range (152mhz or higher). It also appears once you get below the freq range. If any of you guys have the F18 mod you can also view my track (posted on page 1). There you see the problem.
-
I have this problem sometimes. It especially happens when i do a cold startup in the Virtual Aerobatics server. Other servers and SP usually don't have that problem. I even have a .trk of that problem: Download client track Note that i already posted this track in the beta section of this forum. I can also create a few new tracks if somebody wants them.
