  1. I'll try this at the next opportunity :) Thanks
  2. Well. As mentioned in the first post at least one soldier was hit 213 times according to Tacview, so I guess the aim is good enough... Please see the attached Tacview recording at 16:42:47 for example... Tacview-20121223-211632.zip
  3. Hi, I've just tried the Operation Bactria multiplayer mission: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89051 Here I was tasked at taking out some infantry using rockets and guns. The rockets took out a few, however the GAU-8 did very little damage. After several runs and depleting all my 1200 HEI rounds I had only killed three soldiers... Watching the Tacview recording later I see that both my wingman and I hit several infantry on each pass. Tacview reports everything from 2 to 213 (!) hits on a soldier without killing him! This is also the same as seen when flying one of the quick single player missions where a couple of trucks and some infantry are standing next to each other. It is basically impossible to take out the infantry with guns! Is there an effective way to use the GAU-8 on infantry, or is this just wasting time and ammo?
  4. MegOhm, Thank you very much! I'll try them all :)
  5. I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with any virtual squadrons... Do you have a link to the missions?
  6. Hi, I find it hard to find relevant missions using the User Files search at DCS. I'm looking for multiplayer missions including flyable missions for both the A-10C, and at least the F-15, from FC3. Any suggestions? Thanks
  7. As the topic sais: I installed LOMAC but have no intentions to fly it. Can I delete it once FC3 is installed? Thanks.
  8. Hi, I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick. For the A-10 I use the slider as throttle; however this is not selectable in the FC3 options... Any ideas how I can get the throttle to work on the joystick? Thanks
  9. Thank you! Sounds good to me :)
  10. Hi, In TackView I've selected the option to Record DCS World flight. After that a small DCS icon appear in the lower right corner. If I restart TackView the icon still appears. However sometimes, after flying a mission, the icon has disappeared and no flight was recorded. Any ideas?
  11. Great! Thank you! They look interesting. I've downloaded the missions and will try them in about a week when I get back home.
  12. Do you have a link? Thanks! I'll try this!
  13. Will it change to a flare program then? I've never seen it do so. It usually stays at program B
  14. Do you have a link for it? I would be happy to try them! Please send me a PM when you are available. I'll be going away for one week tomorrow, but I'll try them when I get back.
  15. Interesting feedback from all. Thank you! Do you use manual, semi or full auto on the CMS? I've used semi mostly as it changes the jammer to correct type and selects a program based on SAM launching a missile. However I do not find it to be working very well with IR missiles. It does not change into a flare program... Auto I find useless as it will empty my chaff and flare before I even get close to a threat. Finally manual I find difficult to use in the heat of battle. It might just be a training issue though..?
  16. Relative easy perhaps? :) I see. Thank you!
  17. I tried this. There is one for All missiles padlock and one for Threat missile padlock. I created a quick mission with a MANPAD and when he fired a missile I tried both of these. Unfortunately nothing happened, so I was not able to see any missile. Maybe I was using it incorrectly? Unfortunately my wingman is a friend of mine who struggle with the same issues as I do... I do not know anything about TrackIR unfortunately. What version of it do I need? Is 5.0 the latest? Is everything needed included in the package, or do I need something extra?
  18. Hi, I struggle a lot dealing with infrared, heat seeking missiles due to several facts: It is fairly easy to understand that I'm being shot at with a radar guided missile, since I first will have a threat displayed on the RWR. Then it will lock its radar on me, and a missile is detected by the MWS. I can now be rather sure that a missile is inbound me so I start evasive actions, drop chaff and hopefully avoids the missile. With IR missiles though, I'll suddenly get a missile warning detect by the MWS, with no previous warnings. I have no idea whether this is a missile shot at someone else, maybe it is a maverick fired by my wingman or another A-10? Or maybe it is an anti tank missile shot from a tank towards another. Now of course I could start popping flares and start evasive actions, but this could lead to a lot of unnecessary evasive actions by me in a mission where there are a lot of missiles fired. Also - I do not have an unlimited amount of flares... I know I should start looking for an incoming missile; however without track view (or whatever it is called) I have to use the joystick top hap for that. It is unfortunately not very effective... My question is basically - how do I know that an IR missile is fired at me? Or how do I know that the missile is NOT fired at me?
  19. Me and a friend would like to fly online in the A-10. What fairly easy multiplayer missions should we try?
  20. Great help! Thank you :) I'll go for a used copy that was priced at only GBP 0.01
  21. As I do not own LOMAC: Is it available as digital download? Any ideas where they sell it at a reasonable price? Since I'm only interested in FC3, I would like to pay as little as possible for LOMAC...
  22. I understand that I need a previous version of FC to be able to run FC3? Why is it so exactly? You do not need to buy Windows XP if you want to buy Windows 7? If so is true, where can I find the cheapest previous version of Lock-on that will make FC3 work? Finally - is there a difference in FC3 if I buy Lock-on instead of Lock on 2 or vice-versa?
  23. What missions do I enter online? Can I just enter a mission that is already running? Or can I only join at the start? Do I have to join a virtual squadron or can I fly "on my own"? Do I have to install something extra like TARS?
