  1. I have Tacview 64-bit Home Edition and I never see any radar lock from SAMs to my aircraft. Only air to air. Is this correct?
  2. I have two more questions for you guys :) I'd like to try adding a couple of triggers: 1 - How do I add a trigger that will give a specific message to the pilot of an A-10C when he flies over a specific area? 2 - Can I also give another message to the enemy side when the A-10 flies in the same area? For example: When the A-10 flies over its WP 2 a message is given to the blue side: "Cleared hot" The red side will get another message: "Attack is imminent" 3 - How do I add a text message to both sides when a specific target is destroyed? Is this possible at all?
  3. Thank you very much for all help. It appears as the choppers fly the correct altitude after the first WP.
  4. Thank you both for helpful advice! I've started with my mission ever so slowly. Some new questions arise: Does this mean that if I want to add a Kub site, I must add both SAM SA-6 Kub LN 2P25 and SAM SA-6 Kub STR 9S91 and for a Buk site: SAM SA-11 Buk CC SAM SA-11 Buk LN SAM SA-11 Buk SR I guess one is a radar, launcer and a comand centre perhaps? I tried to add some AI choppers just for some eyecandy really. I set all WP altitudes to be 200 ft, however they climb to well above 1500 ft. What is the reason for this? Thanks again
  5. Hi, I would like to try and make a mission. The idea is as follows: A two player mission where one player is flying the A-10C and following a route from one airport to another. Along that route the other person will man various CA Anti Air units like Shilka, Tunguska, Strela, MANPAD and other playable CA AA units. The mission for the CA player is to shoot down the aircraft, while the mission of the A-10 pilot is obviously to avoid being shot down and reach the end of the route safely. This is supposed to be a training mission for both players. The idea is to place long range radar SAMs in the edges of the route of the aircraft and thereby forcing the A-10 pilot down low. I understand such long range radar SAMs is not playable in CA? What I guess could be good to know to be able to make such a mission is among other things: - How do I add a flyable A-10C and make a route for it? - How do I add CA controllable AA along that route? - Can I put the controllable AA into a "non-firing state"? This so that they do not fire unless controlled by the player? - How do I add radar SAMs to the mission? I understand these need both radar and a missile system? They should be able to fire automatically - Is it possible to randomize if a specific AA unit is placed or not at the beginning of the mission? This so that the A-10 pilot do not know where the AA units is every time the mission is played. One time there is a Shilka to the left of the route, next time there is a Tunguska at the right and so on. - Anything else you see that I could benefit from knowing. I appreciate all the help I can get in this. Thank you very much!
  6. I have the same problem with this mission. The four Su-25 just circle and abort their landings again and again...
  7. Thank you very much for your hints and advice. I'll try to practice a little bit, but I'm sure I'll be back with more questions later :)
  8. I see. That makes sence. How long will it take the radar to pick up a target? How long should I look in one place before moving the radar to look somewhere else?
  9. I see. I feel I've tried that, without luck :( How long do I have to wait before shifting the radar? How long will it take before a target appears if something is there? Then when I shift up: How much up do I go? +1? +2? The same with question when shifting down: -1 -2 -3 -4? All of the above? As I understand those numbers they indicate 1000's of meters above or below me. So if I'm at 7000 meters, -7 would be the ground? What should I use as Expected Target Range?
  10. How do you effectively find targets in the SU-27? I really struggle using the radar. It is like searching for a needle in the haystack pointing the radar in the correct direction. If I have no idea where the target is: Where do I start?
  11. Thank you xentxo, but I can't see how such correction tables can be useful? They only correct heading to be made good to avoid drift due to wind. They do not tell how to correct a bomb for wind as far as I can see?
  12. I was thinking Vikhrs on the outer pylons and S-8 KOM (HEAT) and S-8 TsM (smoke) on the inner pylons. That way I can mark targets with smoke for other allies and still take out a few myself. Yes, I'm aware of this. Ok, thank you. I'll try this :)
  13. Hi, If I have different weapons on all four stations on the Ka-50: How do I change between them? Pressing Y only arms the outer left and pressing I only arms the inner left stores. How do I change to the ones on the right side? Thank you
  14. Maybe someone could help me use the chart? I do not understand how to use it...
  15. I see! Thank you very much!
  16. Ah! Thank you! Do not know why I did not find it myself :)
  17. Hi, I realize I really could need to map the LWS Reset button to my joystick; however I'm unable to find it in list of available keys. Do you know what it is called? Thank you
  18. Hello, As the topic sais - how do I correct for wind in the SU-25? Thank you
  19. Thank you for your inputs! I found the yaw indicator below the ADI :) I actually find it more motivating to learn the weapon systems relatively fast after after beeing able take off, fly relatively basic manouvers and land. That way I'm ready to start a mission. After that I can polish everything that iI do not master as good as I want to. I guess I'll be back with more questions soon :)
  20. I think I'm starting to understand the cold start. I have a couple of new questions though: 1 – I seem to be flying a very much uncoordinated – the nose of the chopper is not pointing in the direction of travel. In a fixed wing aircraft this is very unpleasant and you would use the rudders to counter this. In the Ka-50 I do not find a turn and slip indicator. Is this not a problem in choppers? 2 – I’ve activated the “turn to target” feature when in hover. However it seems like I always turn too far or too little. The target is always a bit of center and I have to use my rudders to place the reticle over the target. Is this normal? Why is this happening? Why is the aircraft not pointed directly at the target?
  21. Great! Sounds as if some steps are left out of that checklist I used. I'll try again tomorrow :)
  22. Hi, Just bought the Ka-50 a couple of days ago and been flying circuits around the airport trying to figure out how to fly. Today I wanted to try some weapon delivery, and flew out to a range with a few targets. There, in a hover, I was unable to select any weapons, even though Master Arm was on. To start the aircraft I used this checklist. At the range I turned Master Arm on, but did not find anything else that should be on. I tried to select outer and inner stations with Y and I, but no joy... http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=40789&d=1278968424 After giving up, I turned off the auto hover and returned to base. After doing so my airspeed in the HUD disappeared. It returned later when approaching the airfield to land. Why did this happen? I would like to have the airspeed visible all the time. Thank you for helping out a rookie :)
  23. Ah! Great, thank you!
  24. Hi, I just bought the Ka-50. Where can I find the latest manual? The one here seems to be for a previous version? http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/documentation/
