  1. Hi, I admit that my laptop is not the best there is, however it do meet the minimum requirements of DCS 1.5: Minimum system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i3; RAM: 8 GB; Video: 2 GB RAM card, DirectX11 - compatible My laptop has: 64-bit Windows 7, DirectX11, Intel Core i5-3210M, 8GB RAM, GeForce GTX 660M 2GB GDDR5 On DCS 1.2.x I was able to run the sim smooth with mid to low settings. On DCS 1.5 however every setting is at minimum. Still the sim lags for a fraction of a second every few seconds. When I'm close to ground, and there is explosions etc close to the aircraft the lag is intense... To sum up: My laptop meets the minimum requirements, but the sim is unable to run acceptable with those specs...
  2. Hi, In March I bought the Hawk for myself. A few weeks later I also bought a copy for my brother and shipped the serial to him. He was able to install, and fly, the Hawk in DCS 1.2.x In 1.5 however he is unable to install the Hawk. In the modules manager he can only select "Buy now" next to the Hawk module. Using the License check inside my Profile when logged in to digitalcombatsimulator.com I see that the relevant serial is not bound to anyone. I can "Bind to current login", however my brother does not have this option. Do you know how we can fix this so that he can fly the Hawk again? Thank you
  3. Ah! i see! I thought it was only the visual model :)
  4. Version 1.3.4 have "Added support for the Hawk T.1A (DCS World)". What type of support is this? I still see the Hawk as a F-5 in Tacview
  5. Excellent! It worked! Thank you!
  6. I understand that when a server do not allow Tacview recording, you can play back a record file done by DCS itself to get the recording anyway? I've tried this a few times now without any luck. Maybe I’m doing it wrong? In the DCS main menu I click on Playback and select the latest .trk file. These files, when loaded, only shows the F10 map however. Nothing happens at all. Any ideas? Thank you.
  7. Ok, great. I'll check it out. Anyone who knows where the radio channels and their frequencies are stored?
  8. Okey Rongor... Thank you. Regarding your reference to the pages in the manual, this was not exactly what I was looking for. Apparently I did not express myself correctly... I do know how to set these things while in the cockpit. The problem is that I usually change them every single time I fly – to the same settings. Doing so in the aircraft will not save the settings for the next time I fly. Hence, how to do it in the aircraft is not what I’m looking for. Your reference to the file AN_ALE40V_params.lua is nice. There I can change the CSM settings. The TGP settings appear to be changing the laser code yes, but I was actually looking for a change in the laser code in the bomb itself – the code I change in the DSMS page. I’d like to load all my bombs with another code than 1688, since I always change this in multiplayer missions. I see that the manual informs about a laser code range from 1111 to 1788, however, I’ve tried lots of codes within this range and all produce an error message. The only ones that appear to be working are within a few from the default code 1688… So I was looking for the code range that actually works… Finally I’m looking for the .lua file that might have every channel and its frequency stored. I assume that you with your phrase “leaving some of the egg search for you” know where it is, but feel I should be able to find it myself. Unfortunately I have no idea what to look for. I’ve looked through the files in the UHF_Radio and VHF_Radio folders but did not find anything there… TLDR: I’m still looking for a file where data for the laser code in the bombs can be changed permanently. And I’m looking for a file that stores channel numbers and their frequencies.
  9. Hi, I have three questions about the possibility to change DCS A-10 default settings: 1 - Is it possible to change the radio frequency every channel use so that every time I select channel 3 for example, it will be the emergency frequency of 243 MHz while channel 2 is something else and so on? 2 - Is it possible to change the default laser code of 1688 to something else without having to do it in every mission (what is the range of laser codes by the way?)? 3 - Can I change the default countermeasure programs without having to reprogram every time I start a new mission? Thank you!
  10. I see. Pressing Right Alt + \ shuts down DCS World on my computer, but I've tried to remap and will see if that works better. Thank you!
  11. Hi, I must be doing something wrong, and I was wondering if you could help me identify what... When on ground, pressing the communications menu key I can talk to ATC and ground crew etc. In air however, this is not possible - the menu will not appear. What am I doing wrong?
  12. I can understand that this might happen from time to time, but is the problem really that widespread so that servers basically no longer can allow Tacview recording? I can just not understand that there is so much cheating going on that Tacview must be denied. One or two, sometimes and apparently yes, but I mean: do people, and so many people per mission and server really bother doing what you describe every time so that it really is a problem for all the others? And add the fact that you actually learn a lot by watching the Tacview recording afterwards. I’m just really disappointed that so few servers allow Tacview recording these days…
  13. DCS World iPad app login issue Hi, I've downloaded the DCS World iPad app. I'm unable to log in however. Using my email and password I get an error message saying: Authorization failed. Please, check your Login and password and try again I've tried using both user name and email without any luck. If I go to the lost password option I get the following error message before I even get a mail from DCS. Error. Network error occurred, try send code again It has been like this since the app released. Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you
  14. Ok! I was fairly sure I tried a TAW server, but maybe I did not fly there as the mission that was running was about to end... I'll check them out anyway.
  15. Okey :) I'll try that some time
  16. I understand some servers do not permit export to Tacview, but previousily this applied to a few servers only. This applies basically to all servers I've connected to in the last few weeks. Actually I can't remember a single server I've connected to that have recorded anything else than my own manouvers in the last few weeks...
  17. I asked this question in a separate topic, but I did not get any reply… Lately I see that unless I host the mission myself on multiplayer, nothing is recorded in Tacview except my own maneuvers. Previously I mean to remember that most servers recorded to Tacview. Has something changed? Nowadays I can’t view any information that is interesting at all playing a Tacview file after flying a mission. There is basically nothing in the file at all… Is there a setting in my Tacview that I must correct? Or have most hosts placed restrictions on Tacview use? I use Tacview 1.3.3 beta 1.
  18. Very interesting! I'll take a look. As I asked in the previous post I have no experience with multiplayer campaigns. How does this work?
  19. Great! I was only able to find Operation Save Badger in the user files section here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/ I've never tried a multiplayer campaign as it appears Operation Save Badger is. How does this work? I'd very much like a link to your mission and Blooze's Black Gold mission. The enemy within is not a two player mission? That is for me to play alone? Correct? It looks interesting!
  20. Hi, I was wondering if you could recommend a good two player mission featuring the A-10C. It would be best if the mission do not last much longer than a couple of hours. Thank you very much!

  22. Ah! I see! Thank you
  23. Hi, I just tried the Shilka in a CA mission, but the radar display do not appear. I thought it had radar? Thanks
  24. Thank you mwd2. By looking at your mission file I was able to solve the problem. The only thing I changed was that the name of the unit that was supposed to be inside the trigger zone.
  25. I just tried this, but no message was received when flying the A-10. Is the trigger zone also an altitude or is it a cone extending all the way up to space? I might have the first trigger wrong: 1 ONCE (Test trigger, NO EVENT) No event is perhaps wrong? What should I change it to?
