  1. I'm flying the A-10C using this mission where I start in the air (just to test the missile padlock): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16066714/Batumi%20-%20Tbilisi%20Radar%20Runner%20-%202P%20-%20AB.miz Well, it may be but still I see you have a TrackIR. With that I would suspect it is far easier to move your head, spot the missile and not the least keep it in your sight while maneuvering the aircraft to avoid. Unfortunately I do not own a TrackIR, so I have to use my joystick's top hat to first find the missile. That actually takes quite a lot of time, just to move your head, and then it is simply impossible to keep it in my sigh while maneuvering. It is basically unrealistically difficult. Although I'd prefer a TrackIR, I would rather use a padlock view than using my joystick's top hat.
  2. Ok. I tried again now and nothing happens. I saw the missile beeing launched, but neither pressing the key for "Threat missile padlock" nor "All missiles padlock" focused the view at the missile. The Norwegian keyboard does not have a period on the numpad, only a comma. I have however tried to press the keys while in the options and the correct name ("Threat missile padlock" and "All missiles padlock") lights up in the same way as if I had pressed TMS up for example.
  3. Ok, I'll test a little more. I found it in A-10C Sim. I understand it correctly that when I press the key for "Threat missile padlock" my view is shifted towards the missile while in the cockpit? Or should it be the key for "All missiles padlock"?
  4. Hmm... I tried the command "Threat missile padlock" (RShift + .) and fired up a mission where a SA-11 fires at me. The view did not change to the incoming missile however... I've also activated the Padlock options in the realism settings. Any ideas why it is not working?
  5. As the topic sais: Is it possible to automatically look at (incoming) missiles using a specific key? I do not own any TrackIR and find it both time-consuming and unrealistic to find missiles using the top hat on my joystick... Thank you
  6. I searched for export.lua on my harddisk and found it in these locations: D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_backup.000\Config\Export D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_backup.001\Config\Export D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_backup.002\Config\Export D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_backup.003\Config\Export D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_backup.004\Config\Export D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_backup.005\Config\Export D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\_backup.006\Config\Export D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Scripts D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\Export The last location was changed yesterday, november 27th. TacviewExportDCS.lua was found only at one location and also edited yesterday: D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\Export I copied the Export.lua and TacviewExportDCS.lua from D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\Export to Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\ That fixed the problem and TacView is now recording flights. I am however somewhat interested in finding out why the files are not exported to the correct path...
  7. Any ideas why it does not? I've tried several times, but it will not place any .lua files at all in the Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\ folder. No files are there at all. I have both the standard and Steam version of DCS installed on this computer. Can that be a issue?
  8. Hmm... This file do not exist... I have this file on my laptop computer. Can I just copy and paste it over to my desktop computer?
  9. Hi, I've been away from DCS for some time but plan to pick it up again. For some reason TackView won't record any flight. I've tried to reinstall TackView, made sure that Record [DCS:World] Flights are on and that a small DCS icon is visible in the lower right corner. Still no file is written. Any ideas? Thank you!
  10. Sorry, I did not think it was relevant. Here is my specs: ASUS P9X79 Intel® Core i7-3820 Processor Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 16GB CL9 Samsung SSD 830 Series 128GB 2.5" Corsair HX 850W PSU HIS Radeon HD 7950 3GB Intel® Air Cooling
  11. Hi, I have this strange problem with DCS. Everything is running very smoothly during flight. However from time to time, maybe a minute or more apart, the sim freezes for a fraction of a second. The stutter only last so briefly that if I blink my eyes I will not notice it. May this be a setting I have to high? If so I’ve not been able to identify what should be lowered. Using the settings I normally use the sim looks great and flows nicely. Reducing display options however does nothing to the stutter – it only makes what I see worse with basically the same frame rate. Any ideas please?
  12. My Tacview wont record any flights even though I've deselected and reselected Record:DCS World Flights in the options. There is a small DCS logo displayed in the right lower corner. Any ideas why it is not recording?
  13. How do you change the default settings? I know you can program the CMS while in cockpit; however that has to be done every time you want to fly. Is it possible to change it permanently?
  14. What do these options in the A-10C Sim do? All missiles padlock Threat missile padlock etc. Is it possible to automatically look at incoming missiles?
  15. What is the keybinding called in the options. It does not appear to be working for me so I might have changed it.
  16. I can not find the key that allow me to move forward and aft in the seat... I would like to move a little back so that I can see and tune the VHR AM radio before startup. Can you remember what the setting is called? I may have changed the default keybinding, so I need what it is called in the options...
  17. What do you mean? Should I delete some files in that folder? Only one that might refere to what you suggest is autoupdate.settings What other files should be deleted? And why?
  18. Hi, I've been away from the sim about 6 months and I see there have been a couple of large updates to DCS since then. Today I wanted to fly again and started up multiplayer. After loading a mission I downloaded about 7 months ago (ie made with an earlier DCS version number) the screen was covered with a black layer. I was not able to see anything except a very small area at the edges and in that little space I could see (and I could hear engines) that something was moving. Do you know what this might be and how I fix it?
  19. Is it recommended to change to Steam if only having hard disk Space left for one copy? Will all upcoming modules be available in Steam?
  20. Please see attatched photos. As I do not know how to take screenshots in game, I've used a camera instead... The Prt Sc button only takes a photo of my desktop. The first picture is taken about a minute before the other. As you probably can see, the middle windscreen (With HUD) appear brighter than the side Windows while in clouds. In clouds: If this heading was my desired attack heading I would not be able to see when to drop my bombs...
  21. I'm using warm HDR, not Cold.
  22. So it is correct that the HUD should not be visible while in clouds? Im sure it was readable a couple of months ago.
  23. Hi, I've been away for a couple of months, so I've not followed the changes in the latest updates, but while flying today I realised that the HUD became invisible while I was flying in clouds. Is this correct behaviour? Thanks
  24. Thank you, I deleted the relevant files and restored the default settings. I saved the joystick settings on the desktop computer and loaded the same file on the laptop. This does not seem to be working very well as it corrupts the settings.
  25. Hi, I have DCS:Word and the A-10 installed on both a desktop that I use at home and a laptop I use while traveling. Today I wanted to set up my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick on my laptop computer however I was not able to get it to work. The problem seems to be that the A10Sim profile on my desktop includes lots of submenues, like HOTAS, CDU Panel, General and so on while the same profile on my laptop does not include nearly as many. Please see the two attached pictures: Desktop computer A-10C Sim menu: Laptop computer A-10C Sim menu: Any idea why it is like this?
