First of all, I'm loving this module so far and it's incredibly well-made. ;) I ran into a problem during the ARC system training mission that I cannot quite determine whether it's a intentionally modelled problem with the ARC or its a bug. I set up the ARC to follow #3 beacon and start flying in it's direction. I have a solid morse code signal and i keep around 3000m altitude. I do not reach the beacon though. The needle kept pointing ahead of me and didn't change its mind until I had reached the southern coast. Looking at the map in the kneeboard I could see that I should have reached the beacon long ago. I tried resetting the beacon and now it started leading me inland, and so much off course that I didn't hit the trigger for having found the #3 beacon. I found that when I aligned the Mig21 with the compas needle for the ARC, the needle would often "get stuck" and follow the planes changes in direction. That meant that I could drift as much as 20 degrees off course, and the needle would still say that I was going in the right direction. Anyone else encountered this problem?

Indeed, Im having a blast with the Mig-21. Really nice work guys ;) Guess I didn't have to rennounce Denmark after all... XD

First lessons learned: -Dont confuse the cockpit lid handle with the Gear handle. Just ripped my cockpit lid clean off right after takeoff. XD -Dont go full after burn to 10 km's in less than 30 seconds and then take afterburn off. That killed the engine in seconds. Must study up on how to perform engine restart while in air.

Hmm, I just pulled down the module from the site. Some 300+ MB's. Wouldnt install because my version was too old though, so I'm currently getting the new update to DCS world, around 1 GB. Will be interesting to see if it will fire up ;)

Well, the radar includes a filter that filters out ground clutter and clouds. Whether that filter is purely for making it easier to read the radar, or if it helps detecting and locking onto things I dont know though.

It's landing gear is built for shitty landings...To a certain degree. :thumbup:

Am I the only one interpreting the "Due to scheduled maintenance of the DCS website and E-Shop" at the top of the page as a "We will now start implementing the Mig-21 in the E-shop" ? XD

Well, technically a module COULD be more taxing by having a inefficiently modeled cockpit or by using hugely taxing calculations on the way the craft interprets the effects of the games physics engine. I do not believe that ED would allow such a thing though, which is why they have a rigorous testing that a module must go through to make sure that it is up to standard and wont kill peoples machines.

Nice fight. I remember seeing Devildoggamer do the same instant action and he was trying to outturn the F4 in knife fights, and the F4 just completely raped him. You approach looked more to be big swings with high speed that let you get a position of higher altitude that the F4 couldn't keep up with. Well played.
