  1. Was juuust about to make a thread on this. ;) Seems that the Mig-23 and Mig-19 is in the works.
  2. My money would be on Bröderna Lejonhjärta. ;)
  3. I use the Acer Predator X34 wide screen. It's 34 inches, resolution of 3440x1440. Costs an arm and a leg, but worth every penny. Also got an Oculus, but I prefer regular screen for DCS as many things in DCS are hard to see with Oculus.
  4. I believe i read about that in the manual. The switch is to be set down on the A2G mode if you are carrying a bomb load OR if you are carrying a full centerline fuel tank. Once you've spend the fuel in the centerline fuel tank, you can put it back up into A2A mode. I guess the Mirage's airframe just can't handle the violent motions that the A2A mode allows for when carrying a full center-line tank.
  5. You have to uncover the dispense flares button on the collective. *edit* never mind, didn't notice you'd tried that. You must have battery power. Turn on flares system. Set the litle swith just above flare power to one of the two top settings. Uncover flare button on collective. Press flare button on collective.
  6. When making a qualified release date estimate, you must always take the timespan from now until that release date and then multiply it by two, then you have a roughly precise release date. ;)
  7. Not sure I understand this. From my understanding, using the collective should only alter the pitch of the individual blades in the rotor, right? I thought pulling on the cyclic (which alters the angle of the rotor mast) while going fast was what made the rotors collide with eachother on the KA-50. Which is also the reason why when I go fast in the KA-50 I'm very careful with making cyclic inputs.
  8. Btw, has the tooltips been disabled on the server or something? I can't seem to get any labels when I mouse over the different controls in the cockpit.
  9. Might I suggest some more diversity in the enemy fighters? I have an affinity with flying the Mig-21 and Mirage and while I understand the inherent problem with them being underpowered, it does get a bit bothersome to try and take on AI F-15's with their omnipotent radars and aim-120's all the time. Especially when I get jumped by 3 of them at the same time. XD Maybe have some Mirages or Mig-21's on the prowl as well? Just so I don't feel completely useless unless I'm rocking a FC3 plane.
  10. Indeed, the Skhval tracks targets by using contrast, so somtimes you need to fiddle with the contrast setting to make it stick. From your video, it didn't look like you had turned on the "Ground Moving Target" tracking button. Have you tried that? Believe it's the lower right button in that blue 4-button cluster on the same console where you turn on the targeting laser.
  11. Does that also include the mouse_over labels for the buttons and switches? I don't mind having french labels in the cockpit textures, but things might get a bit though if the mouse_over labels are also in french. XD
  12. The normal maps are looking misaligned.
  13. I believe they are already looking at more realistic implementations of munitions in the game.
  14. Dang. I never actually considered that using ground power would let me set up all the systems in my KA50 while the engines are spooling up. This will save me some time. :D
  15. The trick I found to beating the F4 is to keep energy high. Have afterburner on at all times unless you risk overshooting the target while lining up the shot. Make sure to keep the needle on the AOA meter out of the yellow and red areas while turning after the F4. Only go into the yellow or red area if you are close to the F4 and you are willing to make a hard turn after him to keep behind him at the expense of loosing energy.
  16. Doesn't the lights go out in the landing gear indicator panels if you break the gear?
  17. Yeah it seems that the airbrake is working after all. Just confirmed it with the regular DCS as well, the speed reduction is just very slow. Have probably been playing around with the Mig-21 and Mig-15 too much where the airbrakes slows you down a lot. This thread can be closed.
  18. Brake chute has been working fine for me so far in 1.5.
  19. Well, here's how I tested it before I reported it: -Flew the free flight instant action for SU-25T. -Flew straight and level -Didn't touch the throttle -Let the aircraft speed settle based on the straight level flight with the set amount of throttle -I applied the airbrakes, heard the distinctive sound they make and visually confirmed that they had deployed at the wing edges. -No deceleration at all. Not even 10 km/h of deceleration.
  20. This might be just me, but I tried the instant action free flying for the SU-25T. When I deploy the airbrakes, they visibly deploy but they simply do not slow me down at all.
  21. The first mission that you mention I just used the ARC beacons. I believe some of the maps on the kneepad has the positions of the ARC stations and the placards on the inside of the cockpit also contains the sectors and channelse of the ARC stations. Once in range, the RSBN beacon makes it really easy to find the airfield. Even more fun though can be to plan it out. Plan a course that you need to hold from your start airfield to get to this and this city and then correct your course to the next landmark. Use your eyes to find the landmarks and then adjust course from there.
  22. It might be my rusty memory, but I believe there is a well-known bug about the pipper being off center.
  23. Hmm, I haven't found it hard to navigate with the Mig21. Fx in the first mission where you have to go from one airport to another I just used the ARC stations. There's 2-3 ARC stations along the coast that you can navigate after until you are within range of the target airports RSBN beacon. Available ARC stations should be in your kneeboard as well as printed on a placard on the inside of your cockpit.
  24. First of all, this complaint would probably go better in the Mig21 part of the forum. Second, you must be mindful that the Mig21 radar is very limited. It cannot look down, it takes a few seconds to sweep a sector so you don't get immediate radar returns. If an opponent is spoofing the radar with ECM you can use the ECM filter buttons right over the radar screen to burn through the ECM. If you can't even locate the enemy while using the outside view, then maybe the problem isn't really with the Mig21.
