Corsair Ax860i had 2 seasonic platinum boxes that went south on me and the last one managed to take out the MB with it even with the 'protection' circuits ...shame as Seasonic manufacture (ODM) for other (OEM) brands and had epic warranites... I believe the AX warranty is 7 years though don;t quote me on that!! the monitoring software and contol you get from the AX860i variant is nice to have and helped me in whether I had enough head room for SLI for GTX980's and OC At 4.7 for a 5930K which it did.... PSU's get more efficient as you approach max load ~90% but then the fan will kick in though I never hear mine anyway... Remember that GPU is getting more efficient so a SLI 580 rig will consume more power than a gtx 980 RIG so the premise of having 1500W PSU etc is moot IMHO ax860i ...monitoring...plenty of power....V. quiet....no high pitched Choke whine(google it!!)....hybrind fan mode...modular cabling with software controlled Power rail apportionment for G cards... (useful during OC and protection).... have fun Piers

If we had to keep the entire user base happy we would still be 'flying' ms flightsimulator... true I have a high end rig ...currently... in 3 years time it will be getting a bit old to run the latest stuff... Turn the detail down until you can justify an upgrade... DX11 can, if done correctly give you better FPS than DX9 as I believe the later G cards/ drivers are more efficient at delivery eye candy with FPS too. its frightening how quickly hardware becomes obsolete... sigh... look at how IL CLOD mods have driven the FPS down and eye candy up.... that balance is at least lopsided towards the eye candy.... I am sooo loking forward to the new Aircraft, edge and Oculus rift!!! happy flying...

Hi flankerzrj, Cobra has answered this...until they are sure of the ability to meet a release date, nothing is going to be announced...see first post on this thread.... sheesh you only have to see what happens if a live stream is missed...the heavens would erupt if, god forbid they missed a communicated release date... on a more selfish note..my oculus rift has not arrived yet so I'm looking forward to EDGE,MIG,DORA and Oculus ..I shall not be turning up to work that week!

Scrim, Calm down ...:) the reason that I put that out there was not an indicative ..."we must throw money at the problem" more, a case of if there were financial issues getting the add on to market then now would be a good time to say. Bribery.. not quite demeaning... er not too sure how you came to that conclusion, but ok.. your opinion I guess. ell I only found out about m21bis later on... reading through the commentry and seeing some of the removed information from the link posted all leads to ask the question... If this is financial then what can we do as a community interested in this coming to light. There may be a number of people 'here' that have not yet been able to pay for the product... I'd be happy to get some card on the table to help this see the light. Team Mig 21.... what can we do to help ?
