  1. Yes indeed! Entirely new built based on a photogrammetry scan and the procedural texturing framework we developed with the F-14
  2. I mean the module. The AI versions of the A-6 will be released far before that.
  3. In this particular project; Heatblur is shouldering practically 100%, or at least very close to it, in active engineering and programming burden. We will clarify more on this as we go! This is a wonderful, symbiotic partnership in many ways, but the Heatblur team will indeed be the primary developer of the Eurofighter's codebase. The timeline and how we are currently applying resources towards each project is a little complex and I can't clarify further until we've fully announced our coming roadmap. That said, we expect the A-6 to arrive after the A2A Eurofighter.
  4. We had the Iowa class on our roadmap for some time; however considering how broad and ambitious our roadmap is, we have been somewhat pragmatic and put it on ice. We've not heard of anyone else working on the Iowa; and it's something I'd love the team to take back up - resources allowing at some point. It would fit wonderfully to everything we're creating.
  5. I'd make one note and say that the lack of A-G at release is more of a pragmatic choice to get a product out to you all in a reasonable timeframe (both from a financial and annoyance standpoint ) - rather than one rooted entirely in aircraft software/knowledge. Hope that makes sense!
  6. Hey everyone, the forum organisation should change shortly- sorry for the delay. As for the tranche/version topic, it's a rather complex and deep issue- and I urge you all to go back and read Gero's statements on this point in particular made in the past. Those objectives in this project have not changed. There are different ways of wording what we're executing, but a specific one would be to say that it's an amalgamation. Service Eurofighters are frequently, rather chaotic, partial upgrades and evolutions, and we are leaning on this fact in order to strike a balance between three important pillars of a DCS aircraft: content (how much do you get for your money?), usability (how relevant and fun to use is this in a simulator/DCS World?) and feasibility (can we do this and make sure it's realistic with the data available?). Viewed through this lens, we're not shy to note that our Eurofighter is unlikely to match any real example you could point to, specifically. That isn't by itself unrealistic - again referencing how haphazard the real fleet can be - but we do feel that it is the right balance between the important pillars listed above. It's important to stress the fact that everything we do create and implement will be as realistic as we can possibly make it. This drives the final feature set, more than any specific tranche or serial. There will be no egregiously unrealistic or fantasy Eurofighter- but there will be liberties taken with ensuring that we can do what is possible, and ensure the most rich feature set in such a modern high fidelity module. Hope the above makes some sense.
  7. This should be fixed in the latest DCS hotfix update.
  8. Dear all, We were made aware of an ambiguity with regards to the license for an element present in the Eurofighter announcement trailer released yesterday. We've decided to temporarily hide the video until we resolve the issue. This has no bearing or effect on the development of the Eurofighter for DCS World, and our development team forges on unhindered. Thank you for all of your amazing feedback and excitement. This is why we do what we do, and we can't wait to share more with you soonest. Sincerely, Team Heatblur and TrueGrit
  9. Dear All, This year we started a new journey and era of Heatblur, one marked by unprecedented levels of growth in capability and investment, all to help achieve our biggest dreams and goals. One of these dreams is to get to work with the best, most talented and interesting people in the industry, and today we’re so incredibly excited and proud to announce our partnership with TrueGrit and the addition of the DCS Eurofighter into the Heatblur family! Through the completion of our current products and development of our future roadmap, we will always intend to bring you the absolute best in flight simulation. TrueGrit are full of amazing and wonderful people, full of passion and talent; and together we will be bringing you the ultimate rendition of the Eurofighter for DCS World. Immersion and realism are pillars of any Heatblur product, and with TrueGrit as a core part of Heatblur, we intend to reach new heights with the release of the Eurofighter. We’ve had the pleasure and honour of getting to know the TrueGrit team and leadership very well when working together over the last few months, and we couldn’t ask for better friends and team members. Such a wonderful group of people will elevate us all in areas beyond just the Eurofighter: in expertise, vision, character, and we’re excited for this new evolution of our team and company. The DCS Eurofighter continues in active development and we will be sharing news and updates regularly as we continue to build this immensely powerful and iconic aircraft. Stay tuned! Sincerely, Heatblur Simulations And from team TrueGrit: Dear community, During the last few months developing the Eurofighter Typhoon we reached a point at which it became clear to us that the complexity of the project, combined with our clear promise to you to deliver nothing but the best, required a change in tactics. A well practiced military tradition has always been to look for allies and to join forces in times of need. And for a young and still growing developer like TrueGrit, who could be a better match than the most experienced developer with the highest accolade in the DCS community? As soon as we started to explore the possibility of a partnership with Heatblur it immediately became clear what perfect match resulted from this. Brothers in arms has always been an excellent concept. But what’s even better is joining a family. And that is exactly what we did. Heatblur‘s long years of experience in developing perfect modules for DCS combined with TrueGrit’s expertise in the realm of the Eurofighter Typhoon will ensure that we can keep the promise - bringing you the most modern and capable fighter in DCS history. We at TrueGrit are more than thrilled that after thorough preparation of this powerful partnership we are finally able to share these incredible news with you. This next chapter in bringing the most advanced aircraft to DCS will be full of excitement and challenges and we are very proud to undertake this journey together with Heatblur and you. Sincerely, Team TrueGrit Enjoy our new announcement trailer!
  10. Dear All, Apologies for this bug that snuck in at last minute. It's in poor form to ship such an ugly issue. Attached below is an .edm you can use to temporary fix this issue. Replace the file in your DCS Install Folder/CoreMods/aircraft/AJS37/shapes folder with the one attached below. This issue will be fixed in the next DCS hotfix. Sincerely, Heatblur AJS37.EDM
  11. Sorry, we jump around the forum a lot, and sometimes unrelated questions or information seeps through in various places!
  12. Thanks Skysurfer; priority fix for the hotfix
  13. Sorry, I try to split my time evenly on both platforms but it's difficult at times due to the threaded nature here in the forums to cover everything in the same directness.
  14. Thank you for the mission! We'll take a look.
  15. This thread is bringing back some PTSD with nudging the default viewpoint around for ages trying to find the perfect location before release
  16. Yes, an idea like this has been floating around - but results to be seen. We know how to implement it, just haven't gotten around to it yet
  17. Agreed! I do second @Dunx - wish we all had virtual hands
  18. Thanks for your reply! FWIW; per that thread and as noted in the past, we're not really able to reproduce these issues in a consistent or even conclusive manner. We've heard of them happening, yes, but we currently do not see any large scale systemic bug, especially after investigating our code. We're not shifting blame if there is an issue, we are being transparent as to where we can investigate. We cannot influence netcode in DCS, we can only help assist the ED team in solving any issues that may exist. This does not discount an issue existing, alas we need to have appropriate insight into the issue, if it exists, to fix it ourselves or empower our partners to do so in DCS itself. I will repeat my request to, again, please make a new post with videos and other reproduction steps to help us. We continually maintain a healthy dialogue with our partners at ED; and if we can point to concrete remediation steps, we will absolutely do so and with great urgency. Right now we're working on other issues that we know exist and can solve, and not this consistently horrendous issue which, in fact, cannot be concretely evidenced to exist. Thanks!
  19. We may increase the brightness of the TID slightly in one of the coming patches. What we will not do however, is to boost it to unrealistic levels of brightness - and certainly not to levels seen on a photo with long exposure or at night. Keep in mind that the sun outputs a lot of lumens, and it will absolutely overwhelm backlighting for buttons and screens.
  20. Hey CSGO, I'll be rather frank for a moment; but we're not really aware of any such issues - at least not any that can be triggered consistently or frequently, and aren't a result of standard net code interpolation desync. I'd appreciate it if you can point to really concrete tracks, or better; videos we can look at. Thanks!
  21. Will highlight to the team; we were just doing work on a different stby ADI so this would be a good time.
