Cmoooon SU-27 3D model and campaign =] !!!

Noticed this myself. Used to get spalltered all over the sky in a 4v4 in a flight of 4 flankers versus 4x f-16 in BVR combat in FC2. Now i can take on the same scenario and be victorious in a few minutes without any losses on my side in FC3. Def takes away from the challenge.

+1 for DCS Flanker. Will never forget the days when I was in 3rd grade flying the SU-27 Flanker my dad had just bought me for my Intel 485 PC. I also flew with the keyboard at the time. Spent countless quality hours with my dad behind the monitor shooting ground targets with guns lolololol. Actually, I remember a time when the small tiny little CPU fan on my 485 CPU went out while playing flanker. My dad grabbed a house fan and stuck it over the chassis and shot back up into the skies =D man I will never forget those days. Thank you ED for making that possible....and going back to your roots at last......DCS Flanker, I will pay a pretty penny for this my friends.

Definitely thank you ED, Hate to sound like I'm trying to take a mile here but woulda been nice if they added completely new, more realistic campaigns instead of porting over the old ones. Oh well, I don't really have the right to complain.

Where can I get limited 6DOF without extreme angles that show holes in the cockpit? Is limited 6DOF available for FC3 that matches the FC2 limited 6DOF?

Correct, it is still WIP but should be released sometime in December which is not far out. As far as the flight models. Some minor things have changed. What I notice on my flanker is that it accelerates a lot faster than it did in FC2. They did however take away limited 6DOF which I have no clue as to why but it should be something easy to fix for the final release. The biggest let down for me is that there are no Russian campaigns. I am hoping that this is just because its beta and they will include a campaign for every plane in the final release.

nuNce, the russian planes did take a big hit but take a look at this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=68538&page=15 In the end, the community will do what ED cannot and would not do for us.

That makes sense. In FC2 however you could issue commands to all flights. You were technically a squadron leader.

With all of this talk about F-15C being the DCS Fighter, what about the Russian planes? I am new around here on the forums but I have been with ED since the Flanker days. FC3 confirmed one thing for me: Russian planes are getting the shaft. Why? I wish I knew. Is there any hope for Russian planes? please, someone, give me some hope.

Just like Rusty_M said, not a lot of single player content. Me personally, I am a rookie pilot and easily get intimidated by all of the aces that are flying around online so I stick to the single player missions, especially single player campaigns hoping for a day when I will be alright enough to to fly online. Not a single Russian campaign in FC3 however so I am bottle necked there. But overall, the sim is very nice.

Yeah, I won't lie that I feel like we have all bought damaged goods. I am hoping with everything in me that the final release will have everything that it should. Like a campaign for the Russian aircraft and some sort of FC2/FC3 mission compatibility.

From what I understand, that is currently being looked at and is a work in progress.
