  1. Its completely useless for analysing your carrier landings. You trap in the mission and then in the replay the carrier is in a different place and your plane lands in the water. Replays have been broken for as long as I've been playing DCS World (10 years I reckon).
  2. Downloaded and installed today. I absolutely love it, and the HMAS Vampire destroyer as well.
  3. This looks brilliant. When I was a kid I saw her on a trip to Sydney but unfortunately she was just a hulk about to be sold to the Japanese for scrap metal. This mod I reckon does her proud.
  4. I believe this is still an issue, and what's more I believe the maximum sling load weight for the UH-1h is 200lb. The lightest load you can plan via the mission editor is 220lb.
  5. While noting that this is still a WIP, I would have to agree with Tifafan. Clearly the structure of the UFC protrudes further from the instrument panel in the photo than the 3D model we have seen to date.
  6. Sorry guys, would love them to fix a few things on the KA50 but I won't be buying it a third time if you know what I mean.

    Australian Mirage

Nice skins, I really miss the Mirage 3s, they had a kind of gracefulness about them that was replaced by the brutish FA-18.
  8. I love DCS World as is but this dynamic campaign could finally give this sim some purpose for single player. Good luck mbot!
  9. I have had to make this decision in the past couple of days and went with the i7 purely because I also sometimes fly Prepar3d v2 which I have read elsewhere runs better with a larger cache. As someone else said if it's just DCS World then i5 is the way to go I think.
  10. One big advantage of bringing civilian types in, would be that we may start getting some scenery developers interested in coming over from FSX. I don't know how many are familiar with the ORBX developers who create scenery for FSX but developers of that quality would be a real coup for DCS World.
  11. I would definitely buy civilian modules but with some conditions attached. Helicopters would be great for the current sized maps we have and maybe some small GA aircraft, but something like a 737 would be a waste of time. Important the civilian aircraft would need to be capable of IFR flight unlike DCS Huey which can't currently track VORs.
  12. I haven't flown the KA 50 for a while but I think it has dust protectors for the engines. Are you using those, especially if flying low?
  13. Thanks Trubshaw I'll give it a try.
  14. That's true, however given that DCS World does the best job (flight modelling) of any of the current crop of flight simulators on the market, I don't see why it can't be all things to all people. I routinely visit the Hovercontrol forums although I am not a member and think to myself imagine if we could get all the helicopter sim pilots from FSX and X-Plane to convert to DCS World, the market for 3rd party modules could be much bigger. I would also point out that bringing at least some of the FSX and X-Plane users across could guarantee the future of the DCS World platform.
  15. While learning to fly the Huey the other night it occurred to me how awesome it would be given the fidelity of flight models in DCS World, to have civilian missions such as search and rescue (winching someone out of the drink), fire fighting duties, delivering crewmen to oil platforms and maybe even US Coast Guard operations. Don't get me wrong, I like tank busting with a KA 50 as much as the next guy but I think birds like the Huey would really lend them selves to civvy missions as well. :pilotfly:
  16. DCS C-130 Hercules pleeeease I know this has probably been requested before but I think we need a C-130 with an operating ramp and cargo doors for tactical air drops. Maybe DCS UH1 could be put inside.:) It could also serve as a tanker.
  17. Just adding to what others have said, I've flown the Blackshark a lot and find that once you learn how to trim and use the autopilot channels she almost flies like a fixed wing bird. I've just bought the Huey and that's like sitting on top of a pogo stick! As someone else said, after flying the Blackshark I thought I new how to fly helos. Then I took the Huey up .......
