Hey guys, I've tried everything to solve my replay problem. I'm hoping someone here has any insight into this issue. I enjoy playing DCS on multiplayer servers, and then editing the tracks via mission editor so that I can open up access to all the jets (blue and red). Then I replay the mission and can create some fun videos from different perspectives. After the last DCS update I can't even launch a simple replay "as-is", it just gives me a window that says, sorry DCS crashed can we collect your data and send it into no-mans land on the internet. I click sure, and sit there staring at my desktop after DCS shuts down. Any thoughts? I repaired, re-installed, removed mods (I just have the A-4e mod anyway), repaired windows, changed graphics settings... I mean, it worked before. What's changed now? This is my first post, hopefully it's in the right spot. I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post, but I'm having an issue with replays. My system: i9-13900, 64GB ram, rtx4090, 2tb samsung ssd, pimax 8kx. When I view replays (on my monitor), the view often zooms in. The point of view continues to move, replicating my head movements during play, but the view is zoomed in. I can zoom out using the / key, but then the point of view is stationary unless I use the number keys to pan, tilt, and rotate. The view is no longer controlled by whatever I was looking at when I played the mission. Is there something I'm doing while playing that's causing this? Sometimes it doesn't happen until an hour or more into the replay and at other times soon after first wheels up. I would like to make some videos, but I would like to show the pilot perspective. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

*At least it should be* Hey ED, great work on 2.7 - really well deserved all the praise. Thanks from someone who has invested big into this product. So here's an issue with replays that's easy to create, easy to explain - and therefore (hopefully) easy to fix. (I am using VR, but I suspect trackIR might behave the same - someone might be helpful here and check) Take F18 and take the 9x and go into combat vs AIs using the HMCS. Look at them and uncage and fire until they are dead. Now watch your replay... You are free to look around - but I noticed when in the original flight the helmet display got turned on, back in the replay mode, you are now controlling this in the replay. If you move your head from front to off bore and back, you hear the sound feedback from the IR just as if you were flying live. This means, unless you are looking at the exact spot in the sky at the exact times when the original uncage/lock was made, the replay version of the F18 aircraft is going to try and lockup/fire at whatever you, as replay passenger happen to be looking at. The missile therefore isn't going to lock up / kill the enemy aircraft like it did when you were recording, instead if flies off randomly, perhaps looking for the sun, and now the replay is going to start and desync fast. To fix this, the HMCS system needs to record where the pilot was looking at the time of the recording, and keep those array of variables in sync at all times with the replay, and not override those variables with where the replay persons head happens to be looking. The second issue I dont know why or how it happens, just that it has everything to do with flying fast and low. It has plagued DCS for years, and I tried this again yesterday. It unfortunately makes it impossible to record my favourite style of missions (SEAD & WW). This is high speed, low altitude flying, often well below tree top height, taking on SAMs with dumb bombs or rockets etc, (players who just fire standoff weapons with impunity I find very boring). I watch the replay back, I crash into the first or at the very latest, second low level bit of flying and obviously the entire rest of the mission that I thought recorded is now desynced. This is also easy to reproduce, just take a fast jet and keep it around 400-500 knots and pop up and down as if you are trying to line up a shot with SAMs but then diving down quickly, dodging missiles between trees and residential areas and so forth - the replay will have you crash into something, including an open field. anyways thanks again to all over at ED for your efforts - I hope at least the first issue I post here can be easily fixed.

Hi ED, I know it is Low priority, but i would like to see that the replay function is getting updated, at the moment its not possible to record from the track files they are 80% of the time broken. It would be nice to see a new replay function in DCS, the one we use now is really useless, especially when we want to record from cockpitview (example F-14) that track always breaks. The server tracks are always good but don't give us the opportunity to record for what we want to record. Also for bug tracking there are much 3rd parties and ED requesting a track file for the bugs we find. also if the track is not working, we cant show our problems of the bugs we are walking through. It would be nice to see the replay function getting updated / fixed. as i stated i know it is low priority for ED. But a Must for the end user. i know there a lot of threads about this, but please ED i hope you can look into it and try to fix / update the replay viewer..

Hi, so I'm trying to replay a track for a cinematic, thing is - every time I do so, all the things that I did pop up on my screen even when I'm not controlling it anymore, such as the options menu (one where you get ground crew), Jesters pie menu (I am using the F14) and all the sounds come along with it (understandably). How can I watch the track, but not have any of the things I did interfere? Conclusion - I'm trying to make a cinematic, through a track that I had made for the startup of my F14, but I can't get rid of the HUD or cockpit sound stuff. How can I spectate a track, with my player still in it so I can record the tomcat? (If I don't select the role in the track, then the tomcat doesn't spawn in, so I'm not there anymore) Would really help to figure this out... Thanks :)

Hello guys, I'm trying to make my first DCS cinematic videos since I love what everyone else does but I'm having some issues and searching the internet didn't solve it for me. So I have the replay and I want to catch footage of the fight. There are two issues: The text box for incoming/outgoing radio transmissions (how to remove it?) Audio from the incoming/outgoing radio transmissions (how to disable it?) I want to use real audio of the footage as well, so that's why I need the transmissions audio to be muted.

I wanted to play a .trk file with the DCS in built Replay function, however every time I try and get the replay started I'm immediately booted to the coalition selection screen, whereafter if I choose spectators, my game will throw out this error: null It is a Cold War replay I'm trying to get clips of, but I can't find that Cold War directory anywhere. Loading up the file and editing it in mission editor didn't give me any issues, but the problem still persisted even when I enabled External views and disabled FOW.
