  1. Just had to put mine off and had time for forums and I found this thread... You got PM
  2. i also have 4x27". but unfortunately eyefinity/surround won't let you mix it. only all in landscape or all in portrait (as far as i know...) i found this: http://www.softth.net/ but i have no idea how far it is regarding DX10/11 hey Burnsie, i would love to show you some pics, but in my sim-room it actually has 31°C and im on holidays from now on till next week
  3. I dont use helios or emc anymore. I am displaying the whole cockpit over my 4 monitors, so there's no need for helios. SoftTH is perfect, because it only renders the monitor areas and not the unused (see my pic above)... But I beleive it won't work anymore on DCS 2... :helpsmilie:
  4. Hey Guys, just some toughts... I am currently using 4 Monitors in Portrait-Landscape-Portrait with a total resolution (incl. Frame) of 4274x2257. (Head 3 is a Touchscreen for those Cockpitswitches and so on) With this setup i can not use nVidia Surround. But i like this setup, especially for the Ka-50. So i am using SoftTH. Working good, BUT i beleive with DCS 2 and the new DirectX it wont be working anymore... right? So i am thinking of new solutions: #1: getting SimPit's 180° solution with this blackpearl Display and 2 Short distance Beamers -> veeery expensive, or #2: getting a curved 4K 55" TV. muuuch more cheaper Well, i am tending to a curved 4K TV which should have 3840x2160. So its nearly the same as my current setup i think?! Just without the touchscreen... What are your opinions about sitting in front of such a huge TV? Or the easiest way would be to get SoftTH working for DCS 2. I think i read something about SoftTH 2.0, but its not really usable for now - i'm maybe wrong... What do you (SoftTH-) guys think or will do when DCS 2 comes out? PS: The Very best would be if we could render those things directly in DCS for each monitor... :music_whistling:
  5. Wooohaa... hey guys, why so agressiv? Theres really no need for it Sierra99/PiedDroit! i just wanted to be a bit sarcastic and i didnt want to hurt somebody... we are all here for the same hobby, but with different opinions i guess. i am a pilot in RL - both, military and civil. i love DCS as it is, whith its immersion or better for its immersion. and thats much more than all other sims together. but it could get better - and will ;-) especially with civil stuff :music_whistling: (my opinion) that wasnt my intention to prompt something. these words are no apologies, just my "two cents" and i'm not native english, so maybe some of us got something the wrong way... so now lets have all a nice day and happy DCS'in
  6. Guys, don't be so narrow-minded. DCS can grow and be THE ultimate flight-sim and could kill all those others like FSX, X-P, P3D... The more we get, the better! If people don't like civvie stuff - don't buy it... BUT: the more players (oh sorry, simmers) we get and the more the community grows, the more we have the chance that 3rd party devs stop making modules for these lower immersive and outdated flighsims like mentioned above. And if we have 3rd party devs, they won't only make A/C's i guess, they will also make maps. And that means more playground, also for you hardcore-bomber-killer-fighterpilots. Just imagine how our comunity could grow, if we could get those FSX boys and girls to the "dark" side of simming... and for all you virtual-airborne-killers, just don't join General Aviation servers and all is green... In my understanding, DCS is a Sandbox - where everything could be possible. again, if you dont like it, just don't buy it. it's easy as that :-) You all want 100% immersion - but if you got shot down you just respawn?!? maybe it would be better to get yourself ace combat for playstation? or tom clancys hawx  I for my self would love to have some GA's like Skymaster, C152/172, Caravan, King Air and so on... (+ all/most in military version) all in usual DCS quality. i think it should be easier to build, because of simple systems. like those WWII aircraft i guess. oh... and we need definitely more helos! :-) DCS NEEDS TO GROW!!!
  7. For the time being use this nice bronco mod: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/600266/
  8. Yeah! Looking good! All the best for your next steps!
  9. hey olli, just for clarification... how far are your negotiations? do they already know your "product" and what its for? do they have an idea what DCS is? if yes, what do yo have to wait for? what could cause problems for a release? just curious and im interested in... and over all, do they know how IMPORTANT a "yes/go for it" of them would be?!? ;-) thanks anyways, cant wait for the BO...
  10. ah ok, im at a very very weak hotel-wlan... can't connect :-(
  11. i missed it. how was it? has anyone recorded it?
  12. Yeah, I also would buy them all... Even if it were FC3 fidelity. I would find it cool to have a sort of helicopter-flightschool for all the basics with an easy chopper like Hughes 300, bell 47, bell206 or oh58 or similar and relatively easy and basic. iirc VEAO is planning to do something similar with its tutor for fixed wing flightschool...
  13. Hi Sarge! How's it going on with the "live-taxi-Charts"? Because, if you figure it out how to "export" those coordinates, wouldn't it then be possible to use a chart like this (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=102322) for a "moving map"? and then maybe with clickable airport and nav-aides data and maybe googlemaps implemention and and and...? :music_whistling: because there is already a (dead) thread about a try to build a external map for android devices (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116790) which should do the same things... unfortunately it didnt got finished. to use it on an external device would be great, but its also good to use your version for example on an 8" touch usb-monitor
  14. Should be no problem... I assume you are aware of this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129341 (kneeboard builder windows app) works flawlessly...
  15. It is indeed quite quiet around belsimtek... Maybe we will get surprised with something new when DCS 2 comes out (hopefully soon - fingers crossed) :D
  16. Cool... Sounds promising Can't wait for that. I'd rather or more additionally like to have a whole moving map, but georeferenced airportcharts are also absolutely welcome :-) yesssss!!!
  17. nice! but its yet not possible to have the actual position on the kneeboard, right? hows fullscreen mode going on?
  18. ah ok, missed that on the dcs homepage. thanks guys!
